  1. Actually when I suggested the defender be penalized for leading with the helmet on that play you attacked me. Who is really moving the goal posts here? You aren't making much sense.
  2. When was the last time he had much game time? I'd be thrilled with a mid rounder but that seems unrealistic.
  3. You can whine about it if you like but none of us here were the ones who put him in that situation and I said those runs would end up in a big collision eventually.
  4. That's up to the original poster to expound on his thoughts. I even defended Sam for the hit the defender led with his helmet. I don't understand why you don't like Cam but feel the need to speak up so much for Sam it doesn't reconcile but hey that's your prerogative. But the simple fact is unless we see a drastic change Sam does not appear to have a future in this offense. They just ran a full game where they did everything they could to limit his gaffes as a passer and It ended up getting him hurt in the process. Do you see the Giants still putting Daniel Jones out there with training wheels? Eventually you have to face facts.
  5. I knew that big hit was around the corner sooner or later when people were calling him Sam Newton apparently our staff didn't for some reason. Our coveted front office duo deemed Cam Erving worth 10 million dollars on the first day of free agency. They set the qb up for failure from jump street.
  6. Oh relax with the drama. Nobody wants to see any player injured. We don't know what his future holds as the starter here but until shown otherwise it doesn't look particularly bright rn and acknowledging that is just reality. We obviously can't wait forever for the light to finally come on for a fourth year pro.
  7. Blurt out strawman a few times and head for the exit. Very compelling commentary.
  8. It's hard to talk playoffs when we've been jostling with the Falcons for dead last in the nfc south for the last two years. Yes I am happy we defeated them but that was the bare minimum expectation going into this season. If we hadn't been blown out by the Giants the week before you might see more optimism. Most fans probably want to see how we do against the Patriots and that is understandable.
  9. What's your honest take on Rhule? I like him I've been patient yes we've been often critical but I'm not one of those who has called for his job. That being said it would be very inconsistent to overlook issues like this when we were quite brutal on Rivera for his repeated flaws early on and his coordinators falling on their swords for his teams inadequacies. From the looks of it this Panthers staff could really use some nfl experience. When we hired Rhule most here had a big sigh of relief bc he sounded open to any and all new methods instead of falling back on the same tired approach to a fault. Hopefully we see more of that through the second half of our season.
  10. I hear you but the only thing that would make any difference would require too much draft capital and we've already traded too many picks for this defense. The 2022 offseason should be make or break for our decision makers.
  11. If just blaming Sam Darnold for everything is considered lazy and hating then Joe Brady shouldn't be the only target either. He didn't hire himself and his boss wasn't catered to and paid 60 million dollars to pass the buck. If it's an issue and has been all season figure it out. Otherwise this is entering Ron Rivera pass the buck waters.
  12. If people are coming back that's all that matters there will always be negativity when a franchise is stuck in a rut. Do you really think the Browns and Bills were all sunshine and rainbows and cartwheels when they were still in the midst of their drought? You're just seeing it more now because social media is more prevalent but if we had this back then it would have been just as ugly.
  13. The resiliency at the end was impressive but it would be great if they could not keep digging a hole in the first half. This is a fun young team though hopefully they'll get better with more time.
  14. We would have to get the Titans general manager blind drunk just to entertain that trade scenario.
  15. You have to admit it's been a rough couple of seasons for Shaq to get to this point. But I will acknowledge I was wrong he is and has earned every penny this season. I am very glad he has stepped up not just in his performance but as a leader. Credit where it's due and hats off to him. I just hope he stays healthy.
  16. We didn't get into the end zone through the air what else would I mean? That can't continue no matter where you want to lay blame. If we do that against the Cards or Bills we're talking another blowout. Even the Patriots. Maybe the benching did help and I have given Sam credit for bouncing back but considering how horrific that game was that maybe isn't saying much. At this point Sam has a ton to prove just to show he can or should be the starter next year. We are in a very tough spot we can't get too caught up in becoming attached to one qb. Windows in the nfl open and close quickly. We have to learn from the 2021 offseason we made a poor effort to shore up our qb room we can no longer settle for the PJ Walkers or Will Griers of the nfl we need a competent starter and a real nfl quality backup.
  17. I was disappointed DJ didn't haul that in but we have struggled in the redzone all year. You chalk it up to a false assumption that our weapons "suck" but anyone with a hint of common sense and history with the team knows these same weapons had us in almost every game last year with even a qb like Bridgewater and the same coordinator. So with that in mind what do you think is the issue besides the blanket "they suck" statement? There are no issues with Sam's processing? His timing with the receivers? We know the oline isn't what it could or should be and Brady has gotten plenty of flack but even with time in the pocket Sam has thrown some of the worst picks I've seen since the QB carousel days of Panthers fandom. What were your thoughts on the Giants game?
  18. You are letting your emotion get the best of you. The simple truth is we won against a bad Falcons team and didn't throw the ball into the end zone once. Do you think that's a sustainable formula for winning?
  19. You perceive blind loyalty at all times as the only way to be a fan that's your opinion. I've seen ten years of this fanbase trashing Ron and Cam and everyone in between relentlessly so again this is nothing new if you can't handle it that's on you.
  20. Nobody is arguing in favor of that contract rn but the offensive situation as a whole is not remotely ideal either so we'll just have to see if he can redeem himself.
  21. CMC Barkley and now Henry all hobbled and injured in their mid twenties. Gurley is washed up at 27. At some point you guys have to open your eyes.
  22. The Eagles dropped 44 points yesterday we haven't even hit 30 yet. We barely won against the Falcons with zero passing td's and Darnold fans still won't acknowledge reality.
  23. Oh wow. If the comical number of rushing attempts didn't confirm it for the folks still trying to deny reality this should do it.
  24. Cam isn't coming back here but there is definitely some inconsistency in the folks who talk about people "hating" Darnold and some of these takes about Newton full of vitriol.
