If we keep starting Bryce Young even free tickets won't be the slighest bit appealing.

Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury
frankw replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's not what I said when I quoted you. Fair market value doesn't exist anymore unless you're talking a bonafide franchise QB. Multiple teams the last few years have traded away "stars" at other positions and gotten what most would consider "mid" at best in the returns department. Nothing with the McCaffrey situation properly coincided with building around a young QB. We signed him to that huge deal and then Teddy Bridgewater of all guys too instead of drafting a QB and then realized our OL was asswater like it was some big shock lol. Duh it was always poo we lost a fuging Super Bowl over it among other reasons! We built ass backwards. We've been doing that all along. DJ Moore is the bigger grievance as of now as far as I'm concerned. Traded away a damn good young WR on an affordable deal compared to his peers for the worst starting QB in the NFL. Never gonna live that down. -

Doesn't make sense to be of the opinion he's a quitter but claim that you still didn't want to trade him. Panthers fans need to stop looking in the rearview regardless. All these lame ass excuses we get on why this team can't be competitive are beyond stale. Every other team in our division is competing and are any of them loaded with talent across the board or are they just ran across the board better overall? Other teams lose talent all the time not all of them become the worst team in all of professional sports. The Tepper's are why we're in this mess. Simple and plain. -
Of course but it isn't just Reich and Canales. We're at least half a dozen different coaches in from last years staff that have been labeled the absolute worst because they couldn't make Bryce Young a starting QB. Could they be? Definitely. Is it likely and a given at this point? Debatable. Furthermore we simply have not seen Reich or Canales in the regular season with any other QB to work with yet other than the game last year against the Seahawks. Do you remember how a lot of people downplayed the offense looking much better with Dalton on the road against the Seahawks? Who can say how different much of the pieces within last years offense would have looked with a larger sample size of Dalton? We have seen Bryce Young look like the worst starting QB in the entire NFL with two different coaching staffs now. That's all I know for absolute sure. It seems likely he will get another game or two before a change is made. But at this point we have to see this group with someone else that isn't a direct detriment to the team around them in order to assess everything else including scheme playcalling and overall coaching.

Know Your Foe: Los Angeles Chargers

Jim Harbaugh has to be loving this matchup. His offense just ran for 176 yards against the Raiders. What do they do to this run D minus Derrick Brown? Smells like another blowout. -
Looking at some of his other videos it's clear he's just a homer. Nothing wrong with that if that's how he deals with this depressing franchise. But I wouldn't give those delusions any views.

Worst part of the game yesterday was the end of the 1st half
frankw replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Drafting a unicorn at QB changed everything. Ron had his moments and overall I liked the man and respected him aside from the moments of frustration with his gameday management at times. And his penchant for being comically loyal to his vet players. Although ultimately all of it boiled down to that fateful Super Bowl. Cam let us down. And Ron Rivera with his usual stubbornness damn sure did. -

Ron Rivera without Cam Newton would have been fired by his third season. He only became Riverboat because Cam kept prodding him. -
Their defensive coordinator had been taking a lot of heat at that time for his playcalling and their secondary was trash. This perfomance was followed by an abomination of a game against the Jaguars minus Trevor Lawrence.

Well beggars can't be choosers. I'll take what I can get. We spent 150 million dollars in free agency fixing the middle of our oline and traded up for our first two picks to address the offense to the direct detriment of our pass rush. It's time for whomever the QB is to step tf up.

Bryce Young's "best game" to date against the Packers. Take note that for the majority of this clip he is standing in the pocket and making plays and pushing the ball downfield. What people perceive to be "his game" is an improviser outside of the pocket is not going to work in the NFL.
-
They aren't doing it because every NFL team has 17 games of tape on Young anyways. Nobody is fooled by what's coming he can scurry around in the backfield all he wants. No one is scared of his arm or his processing ability.
-
Yeah I'm not falling into these traps. Everyone loved Canales after that preseason drive against the Bills. Now we're talking about him like he's Reich. Bryce Young just is not an NFL QB.

Baker was clearly humbled he was still a cocky idiot here (remember those t-shirts?) and the adversity he has faced in the NFL thus far has led him to this mature focused version of himself. This seems to be the first time Bryce Young has faced adversity in his life. Certainly as an athlete. And he looks like he'd rather be doing anything else. Don't see a light at the end of the tunnel.
-
Elite processing eh? Well I guess blaming literally everything on Reich was premature.

This is pretty much the only time I don't mind seeing the 49ers do well. Aaron Rodgers is an overrated twat.

About those big money Guards Morgan spent on….
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean obviously all of us would like to be able to establish the run but it is a passing league. Without a competent passing attack discussing the running game is pointless. When we get a real QB behind center than we can begin evaluating the backs. -
Bryce could be a future cautionary tale...

Ah yes I see someone is employing that ol' revisionist history about the 2023 Houston Texans roster as if anyone here back in May of that year had the team that was one play away from the first overall pick the season before pegged as playoff bound and winning a playoff game with a rookie QB. It couldn't be that the presence of CJ Stroud's phsyical abilities as a passer has an effect of elevating those around him like other elite QB's before him. Which is a very common expectation for any passer picked within the top 3 picks of the draft yet for some reason here on the huddle it is unreasonable and a sign of blind hate for said QB. -
You cannot start Bryce Young again. He is not an NFL player.

The OL is absolutely doing work out there plays are available. I never co-signed the endless excuses about last years OL though. Was it bad? Of course. Were there still some solid opportunities that any starting QB worth their salt should be capable of making? Absolutely. Sam Howell was sacked as many times as BY was last year and was 12th in YPG while Bryce was bottom 15. The Commanders shipped his ass out. Meanwhile some people are still making excuses for Young. Wild. -

If we can get him a real QB I think Legette is going to be good for us. -
Monday Brew: Dealing with loss, and moving forward

I just saw the news. What a loss. Too many classics to list them all but one of my favorite underrated ones was his performance in Conan the Barbarian. He played an excellent villain. But he was a fantastic human being that inspired generations. RIP. -
