Our 20 year old rookie drops a career high 38 points and the team around him still finds a way to lose. We've been attached to some of these players and we all love them but if someone needs to be moved so we can get a real C I guess it's time to get it done.

Just because you are keen to blindly devour whatever the team is selling does not make you superior. Dead last in our division swept by the NFC East worst team in the conference. But hey I guess have fun sticking it to those fans for having the audacity to have higher expectations than being a doormat.

Still plenty of time between now and the draft but it seems obvious Pickett will be under heavy consideration for us. The hand size stuff is funny but more just for headlines. All I need to know is can he play football? If it's him or someone like Jimmy G then I would rather just roll the dice in the draft. Folks need to go ahead and accept we will be throwing high draft picks at QB until we hit same as other franchises before us. This was the future that awaited us when so many of you were practically celebrating the demise of Newton's career. Don't cry now.

I am thoroughly enjoying laughing at the posters lining up to kiss the ring and make excuses for Rhule

Pickett skipped Hand Measurement part of Senior bowl!!
frankw replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
I think this is overblown but waiting to have his hands measured is pretty funny. This should be a fun draft. -
Was the Panthers bot disassembled? This seems good given his lengthy history working with the position group. But any optimism is quelled by the likelihood of Rhule repeating his penchant for shuffling the line like musical chairs bc "versatility".

I'll be curious to see where Willis goes and how he does either way. If he gets scooped up by the right team and has a chance to learn who knows. Edit: lmao I see you lurking come out of hiding and own your takes @iamhubby1

Where was this years ago when fans were complaining about every little thing Cam did even though he kept us nationally relevant? Crocodile tears. The Carolinas haven't deserved a winning team in a long time if we're going that route.

The thing with the OL is how bad our line was has everything to do with the approach from Matt Rhule. We signed two of the worst free agent linemen on the first day of FA. We have bounced the one tackle we took in the draft between positions while emphasizing arm length and versatility. Even if we draft a lineman at 6 I have very little confidence in how he will develop here and the line shuffling will probably continue.

I like Stephon. Not his fault he was brought into what would become a top to bottom shitshow helmed by Rhule.

Who is hating on Gilmore? Multiple Panthers players have been criticized and Sam Darnold has been eviscerated for months. Seems weird to draw a line in the sand now but cool beans.

Finally our investments in the position are beginning to pay off.
-
Right? Good thing Matt Rhule didn't sign him to a new contract.....oh.
-
Yet we still found a way to lose to them in our own house

Yes! I'm enjoying this Monday morning energy.

People can have their draft grades and opinions but after what the Bengals have done in short time there will be at least a few teams desperate enough for a quarterback to draft Willis earlier than expected.

You are really dedicated to this spin

Serious question. Are you related to Matt Rhule? This theory is always good for a laugh. He's now a fifth year quarterback. He's toast. The answer is draft draft draft. This year or next. Unfortunately Matt Rhule will be the one "evaluating" the quarterbacks.
-
Still better than Matt Rhule. Sorry if that hurts your feefees big guy.

Matt Stafford is overrated and at times still looks like he plays for the Lions. His offense with the best receiver in the NFL fresh off a triple crown barely outgunned a Jimmy G led offense and won on a field goal. Not the best example. Young quarterbacks on rookie deals to build around are the way to go and the Panthers decision makers have to nut up and draft their guy or get canned like many before them.
-
One of those coaches you mentioned can identify talent at the QB position and the other traded for Sam Darnold and just signed PJ Walker to another deal. My goodness some of ya'll are delusional. I think that's enough for one night lmao.

You can thank David Tepper for Hurney sticking around longer than he should have. And if Carolina doesn't win five meaningless yet very consequential games with Kyle Allen we are in the drivers seat for Joe Burrow. We could have had the #1 pick the next year too but no we had to throw 30 million dollars at Teddy Bridgewater for one season because Joe Brady and Matt Rhule had to have him. We are in no position to trash Taylor and the Bengals.
