Pulling for the team and blindly fawning over the head coach to a fault are not the same thing. Are you related to Matt Rhule?

Offense runs the league if your goal is to compete for a championship. Yes a strong defense can still have a major impact see the Bucs/Chiefs Super Bowl. But this season even the best corner in the league has been getting roasted from time to time and it was his offense that the Rams have made STEEP investments in that had to get it done in the playoffs to complete their SB push. If you want a return to relevancy ie playoff runs then OT and QB are infinitely more important than corner rn that's just a reality some people are going to have to accept and you can do so while still appreciating Jaycee bc he didn't draft himself. But unfair as it may be he will not be the last player to face after the fact draft comparisons.

It was much worse the year before with Herbert. People here had him below Tua. The huddle has a horrific track record with QB evaluation
-
I'm not gonna be rage posting about this guy for two more months. Odds say we could very well miss on the first quarterback we draft regardless of his concensus status as a prospect. Either way Rhule runs the show so if it's all going to burn might as well make some s'mores and kick back.

Bulls tomorrow. Don't expect things to get better anytime soon. Meanwhile James Borrego sounds like Ron Rivera and Matt Rhule passing blame and preaching trusting the process.

Gee I wonder who this is

If Pickett is there, we need to trade down with the Steelers

I have a hard time believing we will have any willing trade partners at all honestly. Who are the can't miss prospects in this draft teams would be willing to part with multiple picks for? -
This! And people think we should trade one of the rooks bc Borrego talks to people any kind of way like he's got the clout of Gregg Popovich. We haven't won poo meaningful yet. Still chasing even one playoff victory.
-
Stupid. If the Hornets want to be the joke of the NBA and go back to the Bobcats days that would be a great way to get there.
-
Some just can't let the grudge go there were people hating on him through his first and second season because we didn't take Ridley. They got egg on their face now and the only thing left is to drag him because he couldn't will us to victory when we have terrible QB's.

When I say marginally better I am referring to can we compete in the playoffs with some of the best teams. Right now we are going to be lucky to get in and our window of opportunity within the conference is not getting easier. Think about a team like the Hawks who went as far as they did with an interim head coach last season. I don't think coaching is the only thing holding this team back by any means we know how bad the franchise has been. This is a young team we have a 20 year old who is one of our centerpieces. But if we didn't believe in him or Bouknight why did we draft them? Other teams are getting nice returns out of young players they've recently drafted. It's up to Borrego and Mitch to find the balance to get us on track. But first we must get past this baffling inconsistency and that is on both effort and coaching.

One of the better offenses yeah but top team? That's koolaid talking. The last time we were in the playoffs we were blown off the court by the Pacers and we are on yet another skid. Steve Clifford couldn't compete in a weak Eastern conference and so far Borrego is marginally better in that regard. I love the team too but truth is truth.
-
Borrego is 114-142. You're over there talking like this man is Gregg Popovich. More like another Steve Clifford tbh
-
Bouknight is young and obviously still needs maturing but as the coach you gotta lead and you aren't going to do that by provoking your young talent in front of his teammates. I was skeptical of the Borrego extension at the time and this doesn't make me feel any better about it. Hornets gotta get this figured out or future stars like LaMelo will be playing elsewhere down the road.

Yes please.
-
You need help man.

Yet we were still blown off the field by a Joe Judge led Giants team
-
They got the win handed to them and there were still Cavs fans whining on social media. All those lottery picks the league has given them and those fools think they're owed something. Get the fug outta here.

ESPN sim: Cam re-signs for 1 yr, Pickett #6
frankw replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
These discussions that pit one QB against another based on how much someone has fallen in love with one prospect get boring pretty quick. I'm no Mac Jones fan but just like Fields no one knows what he will look like in a few more seasons. Josh Allen had 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptions to pair with 58% completion in his first full season. It would have been good to have a promising QB on a rookie contract heading into the offseason but once again we had to go defense. Just like last year there are pros and cons to all the quarterbacks in this class. Determining boom or bust status this early is a waste of time. For me I find myself in the same spot as last year. LT or QB. I wish we had gotten half of that over with then and there but here we are having the same arguments all over again -
Well the Hornets certainly ended the first half in typical fashion.

The Tomlin thing is disputed at best but was only one part of a larger pattern. We don't need walter football to know what's what. I would hope we can both agree that from the jump this should have been handled differently. We should have hired a new GM first and foremost and went from there. To hire a college coach with full control and then a GM to be his best bud was never a recipe for success.
