Opponent builds a lead and we start chucking up bad shots. So predictable. I'm getting to the point with the Hornets that I've been with the Panthers. Just waiting for a new coach.

Agreed. But the developmental angle we used to be able to count as a positive isn't so much anymore. He has effectively alienated Bouknight who is now playing in the G league instead of getting needed reps in what is now looking more and more like another lost season which we will have nothing to show for. Very disappointing.

Yeah LaMelo probably needs to leave the Instagram thots alone for a bit and get his shot back tonight was rough.

This team needs a new head coach. I won't be convinced otherwise.

From whooping the Raptors to being down to the Pistons. Oh Hornets...

Watch the damn tape!

Incompetence. The film was there it does not matter what you think he might do. The Jets giving up on him should have been the biggest red flag. All involved should be on the hottest of seats. And I didn't see much love of the game after that awful pick six against the Patriots as he casually walked to the bench and relaxed like nothing happened. That's the guy you guaranteed 19 million dollars to before even seeing him play in person.

Loving the game but man this is a hot and cold team. I'll take it though.

Could we really pick something other than QB or o-line at 6?

I just don't see the favorable trade down opportunities in this draft others are hoping for. All I know for sure is if it's another defensive player I will go ape. -
You know it's bad when even the Matt Rhule jock sniffers are cringing at this move.

Bouknight ejected from courtside seats at UConn game
frankw replied to PNW_PantherMan's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Who cares? This isn't some storied franchise. The Hornets are a mess and a big part of that isn't Bouknight it's the head coach we just gave an extension to. Plenty of teams would be thrilled to have him on their roster. If we can't find a role for him we should not have drafted him. If we are worried about anyone it should be our recent all star making an exit at the earliest opportunity if we can't get a good team built around him. -
Get him a QB who isn't the worst in the NFL please.

Deshaun Watson said no thanks to Carolina Panthers

Few out here on social media have real credibility anymore anyway with how everyone has to be the first to post news. It's info just take it or leave it how you feel about the poster is irrelevant. -
What would y'all think of hiring Ken Dorsey as HC next year?
frankw replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
This will be his first season as an NFL coordinator. I would say let's maybe see what happens there first. Besides how challenging is it to coach up a physical specimen like Newton or Allen at 6'5 240-250? Willis is an intriguing prospect but unless he's going to suddenly just sprout up more out of the blue he and Josh Allen aren't all that similar and he will get lit up as a runner in the NFL that's just the truth. -

Even if you choose to believe he has not yet dismissed us as a possibility reality should set in that if a bigger market with a better staff and roster situation is available he will not pick us over that. -
Um the braintrust in place made their choices that has led to all of this. They chose to draft a corner at 8 instead of OL and they chose to sign two of the worst starting olinemen on the first day of free agency. To defend this mess that Rhule and Fitterer have created you either have to be a suckup or just very confused.
-
All this because Tepper wouldn't hire a consultant and instead fell in love with a head coach because they both sweat a lot.

For now the 2019 draft is worse. If Brian Burns was that good I could maybe live with it. But he would have to be making an Aaron Donald or Von Miller level of impact on the dline. That's how important Cam was to his team in his prime that we forgot about 6 other draft picks by the following season.
-
He should have been our offseason target over Sam Darnold but it's too late for another reclamation project now. Just draft one and if it doesn't work out swing again next year.

Panthers have reached out to Minnesota for Kirk Cousins
frankw replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ron and his staff did the same thing with McCaffrey in 2019 and people thought it was a good thing. The gut punch as fans is the fact we haven't won a damn thing meaningful since we tried to make him the focal point of our offense. His rookie year we went to the playoffs because Cam was still running the ball like the old days. He carried us to a playoff berth. 2020 was such a missed opportunity. Instead of paying CMC like a quarterback we should have had him on the trade block. The only goal should have been acquiring the next young QB to takeover for Cam. But nope we needed a face to sell tickets. That buyers remorse set in quick huh? -

If the absence of one running back can sink your whole season you weren't a very competitive team to begin with. Panthers fans won't want to hear that but that's where we're at and why we shouldn't have signed that contract with no viable starting QB in place.
