  1. He still hired him. Hired Rhule too. Tepper is still the common denominator. Hopefully he's learning we'll see.
  2. I think you've got your wires crossed here. I was saying you've specifically spoken out against labeling Bryce a bust too early. So you can extend Legette the same courtesy no?
  3. "Young averaged 8.75 yards per pass, a number he reached only once last season, in Week 16 versus Green Bay." "Plummer's 278 yards were the most by a Panthers QB in the preseason since at least 2018." "The Panthers finished with 340 net passing yards, the most in a game since Week 3 of the 2020 season, when it was reached by Teddy Bridgewater." "The offense had 22 first downs, a number that was surpassed only three times in 2023: Week 3 versus Seattle (23), Week 5 versus Detroit (26) and Week 16 versus Green Bay (26)." "The Panthers converted 8-13 on third down, a 62 percent conversion rate. It's the best conversion rate since Week 7 of the 2020 season versus the Saints (67 percent)." Very encouraging all around. Credit to both quarterbacks and the offense as a whole. Hopefully a sign of good things to come from the Canales effect. No matter what happens this season as long as we are displaying an increase in offensive output and competency people will be satisfied with something to build on.
  4. I think at some point in the season Reich basically fired himself. There was not any influence needed. One day we will get a full story of how everything went down. Just expect to hear some things that will surprise you.
  5. Read back through the thread. 99% of my posts were about the game. While I can appreciate the fact you do make a valid point. Said point is moot when you only quote me but none of the individuals in question mentioned in the post. Appreciate the input.
  6. How about let's just get the season opener under our belts and go from there. One step at a time.
  7. Almost sounds like some people are "rooting for him to fail"
  8. The front office and staff have gone out of their way to point out how much they were both on the same page throughout the draft process. They wanted Legette they got him. His injury early in camp clearly spooked them and they limited his reps. He's been mostly relegated to working with the second unit. Now he looks like he's behind the curve entirely when he shouldn't. Mismanagement. Only thing to do now is rectify that. Get him out there with the other starters in the regular season and let him go to work. It's sink or swim like any other WR before him that we've drafted.
  9. Already? Your position on labeling Young a bust early has been thoroughly clear. But XL is a bust before one regular season snap?
  10. Given Thielen's age and comical lack of YAC last year I find myself apprehensive at the notion of possibly losing a young up and coming WR just to keep Adam on for the season. Yes it's good to have his veteran presence. But it would be a shame to see one of these young WR's end up shining elsewhere while we move on from Thielen after this season anyways.
  11. Whatever happens this season I can say I am very pleased with the attention we are finally giving to the TE position. It's been too damn long since we've had high level play from the position group. Now let's just get Ian Thomas out of here and move forward renewed.
  12. This yarn about rooting for failure is just as tiresome as the criticism. As is the people who only enter the thread to talk about how everyone is rooting against so and so but never name names. Cam got some of the worst treatment from his own fanbase that I've ever seen. And he was rookie of the year out of the gate lol. I don't know why some people expected to come here and find rainbows and unicorns after the worst season in franchise history. The only thing that is going to help is winning football games. Until then people who constantly chime in just to gripe about others and create an "us vs them" atmosphere are not helping anything either and need to give up the moral high ground because it's a facade.
  13. 31 pages 31 points. Preseason or not I'll gladly take it.
  14. They have a well rounded roster built for a championship run brother. The fact we're even competing is a step in the right direction.
  15. Definitely want to see Boone kept around.
  16. Legette needs more reps plays like that are a crystal clear indicator your first overall pick has not seen enough action. Yes you have to be cautious with injuries but to have a guy you traded up to acquire looking like that heading into the season is inexcusable from a development standpoint.
  17. Agreed. I'm of the opinion we had to have has better options at QB3. But what's done is done. All that will matter is how the season goes. 17 games is a long season to head into with the worst QB3 in the league. Never know what can happen.
  18. Apparently we don't want to risk him. On the one hand it makes sense. On the other it's a pretty good indicator your QB room is....meh.
  19. I get what you're saying but we all knew the defense was going to likely take some kind of step back this year in the meantime as we try to fix the offense. That's why we hired Evero to ease the struggles some in the meantime bc that's been his reputation.
  20. I definitely feel better at least partially now. Against backups on a roster built for a Super Bowl run this is how you are supposed to look. Impressive drive. I'd say maybe one more drive if anything and their day is done.
  21. Bills defense fired up against us as I expected. Hell of a play on 4th down. Credit to Bryce on that.
  22. Brother we're both fans here and regardless of me sharing these uncomfortable truths I still want the same thing as you. For this franchise to start winning again and regain respect across the league. We simply have different approaches. If someone wants to stuff these truths under the couch cushions that's fine and somewhat understandable. But as a competitor you don't get better running from your faults. You face them head on. Use it all as fuel to get better. That's what we need to see from our leader on offense.
