Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements
frankw replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
We'll be hearing more about this. The optics for the moment are what they are. Tepper with another L after taking his ball and going home. Just prepare for the very real possibility of seeing more of that. -

Be sure to look back on your take about how the billionaire is well within his rights when it comes time to get the new Panthers stadium funded. -

Well it's funny you mention that bc that's exactly what he did when he made Matt Rhule one of the highest paid NFL coaches with 1 year of low level assistant coaching experience. -

This ain't it bud. Tepper isn't some 9-5er on a vacation he's currently the richest owner in the NFL. Ya'll gotta stop with these awkward comparisons. -
OG or C would suffice. It would sure be nice to already have some level of clarity on Christensen and the left tackle position after yet another wasted season but ya know.

I don't really doubt Hurney had a boner for Herbert. It fits the profile. Derrick Brown is an incomplete grade at best right now but I hope he has a dominant season
-
If we can get an LT and Howell I could live with it. I would rather chance it on a rookie than these damaged goods available via trade.
-
Well yeah the GOAT of course. But we don't even need a great QB we just need one who isn't the worst but thinks he's actually good
-
Hurney sucked but he did try to sell Rhule on Herbert. Of course he didn't listen. We also would have had to trade up. But if we could do it all over again i think most of us would trade just about anyone to take JH.
-
Right. Marty Hurney exits and the first big move of the new regime is trading for Sam Darnold. Now we are back to restructuring contracts left and right with no viable starting QB on the roster. We're doing a bang up job of carrying on the tradition ol' Hurney started. Somehow Fitterer has a reputation as a guru here but you wouldn't see it from the moves last year especially those first day OL signings. He has just as much to prove as Rhule.

There are a few options out there but none are any we would be in love with. That being said just about any would be better than the Jets bust teaching our rookie QB. I so wish we had not done that. But what can ya do.

Draft. Darnold needs to be shown the door.

Robby Anderson wants Panthers to work out Colin Kaepernick

Eric Reid was released over two years ago. If he hurt your feelings get over it and take this nonsense elsewhere. -

Lmao if a few social media posts are running fans off and not three 5 win finishes in a row or Sam Darnold derping his way through a podcast interview then I say good riddance. -
Man it's wild some people still don't get it. The Browns. The. BROWNS. Just gave a quarterback who has been drowning in public turmoil for months the largest guaranteed contract in NFL history to upgrade from Mayfield. How can no one see this is the Sam Darnold storyline all over again? If we do this and it blows up in our faces this franchise will never live it down that we were foolish enough to put all our chips in on the Jets and Browns leftovers in consecutive seasons. Just unbelievable levels of terrible.

It's obviously not going to happen but it is amusing how some people will work themselves into a tizzy over it. -
Third overall draft pick 19 million dollar salary this season and can't handle a few boos when he is statistically the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. He sure owned his struggles when he went to pout on the bench by himself after throwing a pick six against the Patriots.

10 hours later with the backpedal. I think you need a timeout.

Murray and other quarterbacks in their own contract predicaments are due to the owners. The NFL has created a situation with these QB contracts where it is a bubble waiting to burst. Now they are trying to blame the players for the mess they have created. The QB market and the WR market in particular are insane now. I think the draft is the best solution. The cruel irony of it all is if we had either took one last year or just held onto Teddy another year we would still have our 2nd rounder this year and we could take our QB/LT combo in this draft without agonizing over trades.

For the record I don't want either. But I especially don't want another manchild who thinks coming off one of his worst seasons is the best time to complain about fans for hurting his feelings. Neither Baker or Sam are leaders. That's all there is to it. We need better.
