Fitterer on trading out of the #6 pick
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah all those years of hating Hurney has broken some folks. Now they will worship the first new guy that enters the building. This man thought it was a good idea to trade for Sam Darnold who has revealed himself to not only be a terrible quarterback but an entitled brat. At best you can give Fitterer an incomplete grade. Praise? No.- 107 replies

Oof bench is not holding up their end of the bargain.
-
2-10. Hopefully he has something ready for the second half.

Comparing the wealthiest owner in the NFL to a run of the mill deck builder lmao. Never underestimate how many weirdos there are out there who will shine shoes for a billionaire. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have fanboys like this too.
-
LaMelo dialed in early on the road. Followed by some airballs and ugly turnovers. Need this group on the same level.
-
Sounds good actually.
-
LaMelo with 301 three pointers. Just get in the playoffs and take it one step at a time. And please ffs give these young players some trust get them in the game. Bouknight Jones and Thor are ballers.

The more Sam Darnold talks about himself the more you can see why he has remained the same. Can't improve if you see no flaws. The Panthers staff didn't help matters handing him the keys sight unseen and then coddling him throughout camp and preseason. We need to get both him and whoever was pushing the hardest for him out of the building asap.
-
If the Hornets actually do trade for him that will tell me that not only is Jordan still meddling but he has not learned anything. As such this franchise would not be going anywhere good until he sells.

KC looking to trade up into top 10.

Are you being serious? Darnold's value has quite literally catered. We cannot give him away. Even if we had Fields and he did not bounce back you still have him on a rookie contract and he will have some level of trade value. Whereas Sam is....zilch. -

2nd round pick gone and 19 million guaranteed if he plays or not all for nothing. Reality says you are wrong. -

ForJimmy is pretty even keel and he's been realistic about Fields season and what the future holds. You sought him out to make him up to be a fanboy when all he wanted was a rookie QB last year so we could be in prime position to take our LT now. This regime has been afraid to hitch their wagon to a rookie QB. Now our backs are against the wall and we're stuck with another quick fix dud. There's really no more to it than that and you can rabble rouse about people being emotional but you clearly have an angle on the Fields talk as you have gone out of your way multiple times to dump on someone for wanting a QB last season. Have a good evening bud. -

What's your QB solution? -
You can snorkel on Tepper's manhood until the end of time he's never going to read any of it

If you didn't want a QB last year that's understandable. But doing victory laps because he didn't look like a ROTY after heading to the QB wasteland known as the Chicago Bears with a lame duck head coach is strange. One of the yokels giving you a thumbs up for this is a Sam Darnold Stan so not exactly very logical company you're in there but enjoy. -
Sam seems like a good guy I wish him well in his non football endeavors. He just cannot play quarterback and so far through four NFL seasons does not seem to inspire as a leader. We can post dozens of interviews or marketing gimmicks to make him more appealing but none of that will make him a franchise quarterback.

Oh yeah I've seen a few threatening but I'm not going anywhere unless they move the team. Same with the Hornets and that's why to this day I say George Shinn can get fuged
-
The only model I'm interested in is what the Packers have. Let the city own the team and the stadium.
-
Yeah nobody wants JR back. But this logic that you can't say anything negative when the team has been residing in the basement of the division and the conference for going on 4 years now is nonsense. We were swept by the NFC East last season come on
-
There's probably 8 or 9 other teams with fans that gripe about the same things it isn't exclusive to the Panthers. Hell it isn't even exclusive to this sport the NBA and MLB have it too. If you want to cape for a billionaire by all means proceed but fans have always been this way.
-
Doesn't matter how you feel about him or South Carolina. This is a preview of things to come in Charlotte. It's always good for a laugh to see people tripping over themselves to grovel in defense of the ultra wealthy.

Next year’s QB crop is better. Let’s wait until then.

It's called a trade up. Some folks here are practically allergic to franchise QB's. You deserve Sam Darnold -

David Tepper and his Carolina Panthers
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I doubt anyone should be surprised. The NFL viewership has been up at a record pace all through the playoffs and Super Bowl. Despite the theatrics from time to time about morality this country obviously loves to watch the sport. So yes Tepper is certainly going to see returns on his investment. Give it time and he will be asking the city for a new stadium
