Eh our defense was dragged up and down the field by some mediocre offenses with Reddick and Burns on the field. Yeah a DE would be nice but it's a luxury pick and will not stop a repeat of last season if our offense keeps the defense on the field because we're going three and out and turning the ball over on repeat.

This after throwing the game sealing pick into triple coverage against the Eagles. These people still buying in are insane. We used to clown on fans like the Jets but even they accepted reality.
-
Wouldn't surprise me at all but at some point Fitterer is going to trade down he wants more picks he can't help himself.

There has been good and bad with Mitch. I'd rather he stay for the time being but let's not act like he has no blame in all this. We gambled on the Hayward contract and center has yet again become an afterthought with Plumlee stinking up the joint. This team needs some new direction and that should begin with taking a swing at a legit big man finally.

James Borrego / Matt Rhule…. Is their a worse 1-2 combo
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jordan definitely has had his flaws no doubt but moving on from Borrego was the right call. Whoever said he was not the problem is either confused or did not watch much Hornets basketball the last few years. -
Thanks in large part to coaches like Matt Rhule and James Borrego.

Nothing personal against the man but this had to happen. Now let's hope we actually hire a significant upgrade.

You are not going to get through.

Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements

Unfortunately there are many more like him across social media. Some folks make it their mission to shield these billionaires from criticism. There is even a meme for it because of all the Elon Musk fanboys. -

It's funny to say the offense struggled and then just leave out the part where our front office decided to invest in subpar OL and the worst starting quarterback in the league. If we had actually improved the roster from 2020 it would have shown in our overall record and our standing within the division. On paper we can say the moves that have been made thus far should make this a better roster but if you're a seasoned Panthers fan you know that means bupkis this early.

If you disagree that's one thing but to call it horseshit? That's veering into delusional. Hey let's talk turkey here. Who in this fanbase at any point through the Kyle Allen saga was like hey you know who we should go sign to a big contract? Teddy Bridgewater! Who in this fanbase at any point through the Teddy Bridgewater saga was like hey you know who we should trade assets for? Sam Darnold! Who in this fanbase was like hey you know what we need? A corner the Jags have already given up on! Here's a third round pick. If you want to have hope that this regime still knows what they're doing that's fine. But this has not been a rebuild

I'm sorry but this take about Darnold turning his career around here needs to go the way of the old fax machine from Office Space. That's how I feel every time I see it now.

Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements

Why are you hung up on this angle? If anything it would be comparable to me or you wanting a nice new fully loaded car and expecting someone else to pay for it. What are Tepper's headquarters he expects others to foot the bill for doing for average South Carolinians? -
What are some positives to come out of the Tepper era?
frankw replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
In 2018 and ironically the same season that truly cemented our cellar dweller status and shut the door on Cam's Panthers career. Damn it really does hurt to be a fan here whew. -
"High on Sam Darnold. He's a reason he took the job." "The senseless turnovers must end."

We'll be hearing more about this. The optics for the moment are what they are. Tepper with another L after taking his ball and going home. Just prepare for the very real possibility of seeing more of that. -

Be sure to look back on your take about how the billionaire is well within his rights when it comes time to get the new Panthers stadium funded. -

Well it's funny you mention that bc that's exactly what he did when he made Matt Rhule one of the highest paid NFL coaches with 1 year of low level assistant coaching experience. -

This ain't it bud. Tepper isn't some 9-5er on a vacation he's currently the richest owner in the NFL. Ya'll gotta stop with these awkward comparisons.
