Corral gets the start sooner or later anyway. We just don't have to suffer through anymore Darnold in the meantime.
-
I love it when people post stuff like this saying you hate this guy or love that guy. I've got receipts playa. Actually I've been steadfast against the Baker acquisition but with training camp now upon us I also do not wish to see the worst starting QB of the last several years play another down for my favorite football team so as a fan thanks to mgmt decisions this is the mess I have to deal with.
-
Who cares? He can be nice and terrible somewhere else.
-
The only thing we know are unfounded rumors nobody knows who is truly pulling the strings still we only assume Rhule has ceded some authority to Fitterer. But no I do not hate Rhule as much as you want to pigeonhole that narrative because you and your pal can't handle differing views.
-
Yeah this place was just a big fun factory back when we were trying to convince ourselves Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Darnold were the answer. Let the madness takeover this is who we are now.
-
They know it's Rhule pushing for this but the internal conflict is off the charts. Can't criticize Matt Rhule
-
Yes I have been one of them. Though the moves through the offseason have suggested that dynamic has changed somewhat. As for this discussion at hand. If this means Sam Darnold can't hurt us anymore just get it over with.
-
You got your years a bit mixed up there brotato.
-
Lmfao I love the 180's in this place. He's been getting some top shelf fellatio here for weeks but now he's a bum again.
-
Meh. Get on with it. Won't have to see Darnold play QB anymore at least.
-
So build up the OL and just run wildcat?
-
What if Matt Rhule is the one pushing for Mayfield? Some very pro Rhule huddlers will be conflicted.
-
Tanking is a fan driven pipe dream. We have been cellar dwellers for 3 years running and have yet to secure a top three or even top five pick. It isn't happening.
-
Who did you want in 2020 and 2021?
-
I don't really have any doubt who will be LT but that bit about Christensen is still pretty maddening.
-
We definitely can it's just the question of sustainability. The Browns Bills and even the Jags with Blake Bortles have competed in the playoffs after lengthy droughts. Just get a not worst QB in the league in here ffs lol.
-
Well if that's the case you go with the obvious because Rhule has had two shots at QB. Let Fitterer run the show.
-
Oh not at the moment no. There's def hope in the building now. What I mean is let's not for sure squash that hope with someone we already know we are just waiting for the inevitable moment of catastrophe. Even a Baker/Corral combo there is the unknown and that is not much better for the moment but we still have some hope. At the very least we can end our season trending in an upward trajectory instead of watching our defense say fug this our QB is booty why bother.
-
Fug it bring him in I guess. Better than the current alternative.
-
Darnold starting is bad for the locker room. When he inevitably reverts to his usual ways after a few games we will be right back where we started. Even the Jets are much better off with that guy far the fug away from their team. They at least ended their season with some fight in them. I am simply so damn tired of this let's start Sam because we have no other choice crap. We do have a choice. He's a sunk cost what's done is done. Say goodbye.
-
Darnold as the starting QB guarantees our home games will be overrun with opposing fans. Franchise low point.

Generally folks who "don't have any love for Tepper" don't spend several pages arguing on his behalf while pulling in pie from SizzleBuzz. This thread has ran it's course for sure. -
For reference Dunlap had 8.5 Burns had 9. He would still be a welcome addition even for the short term.
