  1. Chad Johnson is one of very few former WR's in his age group with the resume he has who is actually utilizing his time as an ambassador for the position. Kudos to him.
  2. As bad as Hurney was at least he drafted Luke Kuechly. A big chunk of the huddle didn't want LB in round 1. A big chunk of the huddle didn't want Cam Newton either. Just be thankful we even got a glimpse of such talent. Sure as hell never got anything like that with Scott Fitterer.
  3. Yeah and for that reason the bar is nonexistent. I think unless we completely revert to another sub 5 win season we are staring down the barrel of a Bryce Young contract extension. Just something everyone should go ahead and prepare for.
  4. One of the biggest problems the Hornets have had over the last several years has been too many guys playing selfish hero ball and taking bad shots. That's why we've had so many changes up and down the roster especially the bench which has been at times just flatly awful. Sexton was a very likeable player but he was available for a reason and he was not going to be a part of our future plans anyways. Here's to hoping Coby White can be that guy.
  5. That's why it is critical that this front office bring in real QB depth this offseason in the event Bryce Young begins this season the same way he did the first three by playing poorly at best. And if our 8th overall pick who just finished as rookie of the year actually sees his targets go down someone needs to be fired.
  6. Is that going to help him elevate those around him? I'd love to see that first and foremost. We can put the dinner guest etiquette on the back burner
  7. He had some rookie gaffes but with consistently better ball placement he could make a big jump this year. Look at the numbers DJ Moore put up here.
  8. He was the one hiring the wrong people lol. He gave Matt Rhule generational wealth because of some tasty meatballs. It's important to maintain perspective all around. Yes we're glad we won the divison and finally made the playoffs again. But without a few lucky breaks and depending on the Falcons of all teams for help nobody would be showing up here to sing the praises of David Tepper. We got swept by the Saints ffs. We won't be able to finish the 2026 season going 4-6 over our final ten games and expect to compete for the division let alone make the playoffs. So let's pump the brakes on the Tepper honeymoon.
  9. All those assets and the most glowing thing anyone can say about our QB in year 4 is how well he interviews.
  10. Bryce is likeable and to his credit he's never been a distraction or a dick about things. But you don't select someone #1 overall because they whisper sweet nothings in your ear. This is how we ended up with Matt Rhule. Doesn't honestly sound like the Tepper's have learned anything.
  11. Hornets win 8 in a row and handed KD an L. Love to see it.
  12. In year 4 after endless back and forth heated debate about how much help he has or needs if he is not able to consistently elevate those around him and more often than not be a major contributing force throughout games then in no way shape or form do you consider an extension. But at the end of the day he isn't going to one day this summer wake up and be built like a franchise QB. We will always be working from a disadvantage at some level in the most high stakes games.
  13. Sexton was largely horrendous in the Mavs game. Addition by subtraction alone with that and getting an upgrade is fantastic.
  14. Sexton was really hit or miss coming off the bench I am floored we flipped him for an upgrade. Now let's get a C.
  15. Yeah but in the Bryce Young era we've certainly racked up our share of garbage time yards too. Anywho the Jets are the Jets the jokes make themselves no arguing that. But we went 4-6 in our last 10 games so perspective matters.
  16. The Jets are certainly a risky choice if he's that hard up to return to the NFL but who knows. Although ironically we only averaged 32 more yards than the Jets in total offense last season. And if you remove the brief mirage of Dowdle's short lived historic rushing they had a better offense. Let that sink in.
  17. This place is going to be entertaining if we look like ass in the preseason again.
  18. Yeah fans of the current iteration of the NBA need to realize for these newer generations of players the 30 mark might as well be 40. There are already guys who have missed a ton of games in their twenties. The league is either going to have to adjust scheduling accordingly or watch viewership slowly dip lower and lower.
  19. In other late breaking news. Water is wet.
  20. There have been Super Bowls where someone could say a single play might have lost the game. But "the fumble" in SB50 is not even remotely an example of such an instance. It's knuckledragger mentality to suggest so. I would argue the team seemingly getting caught up in the limelight of the week leading up to the game itself and the glaring stubborn lack of adjustments doomed the 2015 Panthers. The league itself and the refs also clearly did not want the Panthers winning either. People just have to reconcile with that and the result. It's been a decade now.
  21. I show up to the huddle on a cold dreary Tuesday morning and this is what I find. From our own damn fans. We had the opportunity to take control of that game late into the fourth quarter. I mean for all the talent we had on the team. Kony fưcking Ealy was in position to possibly become the MVP of the game on our end if we had managed to regain control. That is despite the franchise cornerstone players we had on the roster at the time. If that doesn't tell you that it was undoubtedly a collective loss on both the players AND the staff I don't know what will. Have a good day ya'll.
  22. It is. And it is crazy that all these Bryce Young apologists who were talking all kinds of shīt in the Stroud thread that stayed at the top of the first page here for over a week have absolutely no input about the recent PFF article and data on the previous page. It's almost like they're just flakes who only want to spout off when things fit their narrative.
  23. I assume the court color scheme is just the NBA norm of experimenting for the sake of switching it up. But yeah the Hornets have a great color combo and if they can actually be competitive again you'll see a lot more of their gear around the country. Here's to hoping.
  24. The core group of young guys are the most promising we've seen in many years. In particular Brandon Miller has definitely been stepping up into the much needed role we've expected. Great to see. Sexton bounced back in a big way from a really awful game against the Mavs too. Credit where it's due. The unis and court are a nice experimental combo although not the easiest on the eyes. Just glad they are finally back to consistent winning basketball.
