Crazy that players on this team will mentally look checked out on Sundays and criticize the fans days later.
-
He's been talked up in camp multiple times or is this debatable and I'm not aware of it? Still the guy is a bust.
-
I agree wholeheartedly with this but at the same time TMJ has repeatedly been hot in camp and unable to get himself a jersey on gamedays. He's a bust. Our trend with 2nd round picks continues even without Hurney. And this nonsense about him being a Joe Brady pick I'll pour cold water on all that mess. Matt Rhule is the boss hogg this is his failure.

Rapoport: Tepper to be patient with Rhule

Tepper is arrogant and has a big ego and he can't stand fans who question and criticize the direction of the team. He is not going to give the fans what they want unless there is no other option. -
Robbie Anderson: Fans shouldn't bring negative energy

Yeah I was thinking of 2015 Stewart had 989 rushing yards so two good carries away from the mark. But again shows we leaned way too heavily on Cam versus a versatile attack like what Buffalo has with Josh Allen and their offense. -

Many people talked themselves into the McAdoo hire but it was dogshit from the start. Didn't Jay Gruden just flat out turn us down for an interview at the time? Oof.

Robbie Anderson: Fans shouldn't bring negative energy

Crazy thing about Double Trouble I think with Cam we only had a back eclipse 1k rushing yards once through those years and that was Stewart. Again the staff couldn't stop leaning on Cam too heavily and it is why his career was ultimately shortened. -

Receiving wise he had weapons in 89 Olsen and Shockey and he had Gross (and a young R Kalil) but that was about it. As far as the build around him he was the lone man standing from the entire draft the year we selected him that's pretty damn ugly you should at least get one other starter out of a whole draft. For the most part the Panthers got by on the save me Cam formula we would have had a Lombardi trophy if they had not squandered so many chances to properly build a line around him in his prime. But it's the past now. -

Cam is just a different cat altogether he made some serious magic with very mediocre ingredients. I remember that preseason game against the Bengals. He put the league on notice right then and there. Sigh.... -

Will this franchise ever have an "offense minded" head coach
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not buying this Ken Dorsey hype. If we needed someone in a pinch call up Flores. -
Looks good for now but it's still very early. Hell look at what a couple more years did to Doug Pederson. Not a direct comparison mind you but just saying things change you never know the NFL always eventually adjusts. But we did have our chance to make a run at McDaniels. Instead we fell head over heels for a former short order cook. That's life.

Oh I agree and he looks like a fool for doing so and he's already walking that back now. Look we can blast and even eviscerate each other here but this is all just banter. I don't support anyone verbally abusing players in the NFL or the NBA beyond booing and letting them know when they are losing. There have been fans the last few years rightfully booted from stadiums and arenas for douchebaggery. But in general there is none of that from Panthers fans or many NFL fans across the country that I can tell aside from drunk idiots fighting but that's always happened. -

Players adored Marty Hurney in 2010 too they gushed about him like he was part of the family. It took us years to flush that mentality out of the locker room and in the process our franchise quarterback was dragged through the mud for being a sore loser. -

Does anyone remember when Dave Gettleman publicly fired a shot across the bow at his young QB to play better and start winning? These Panthers players who can't even handle booing or disgruntled fans are a joke. -

Chicago isn’t exactly where young QB's go to thrive. The jury is still very much out on Horn. But looking at our current inadequacies across the board some of which are beginning with our defense that has been what this team has historically identifed through it is tough to justify an entire defensive draft in 2020 and Horn over other prospects at potential areas of need. Now it isn't even Horn vs the QB field it's everyone and he's playing catch up to Patrick Surtain II. -

Man got an 18 million dollar contract from jump street while most players are lucky to get 10% of that starting out and if they get injured it's hey thanks adios there's the door. These guys should start taking the Marshawn Lynch approach and just pay fines for not talking to the media if they are going to say stupid poo. -

You can't just say all players because some have much more at risk than others financially. The players on lower tier contracts and the guys hovering around league minumum because they were either drafted late or had to a earn a spot in camp after going undrafted are truly those taking all the risks and they have my respect. I've been very staunchly pro player and what some would call anti-owner. But the mentality being displayed by some players like the guys who already got those big first round pick millions or a big new contract looks bad for the sport and if they build a rift between themselves and most of the working class fans it's not going to end well. Good luck with all that. -

Has 16 thousand huddle posts yet says others have no lives. Sorry to break the bad news to you but the huddle is not the only place speaking the truth about the state of this team. I guess all those in the media and other NFL fans who see the Panthers as a poorly run franchise that overpays for mediocre results are all haters too. -
Idk but he doesn’t look like he's living his best life these days. The Bucs have won but it's been kinda ugly. What a time in the history of our division for us to be not only terrible but possibly the worst in the league. Right when things are ripe for the taking.

One minute I'm Chuck the next I'm Mr. Completely. You sound like Brad Pitt from Twelve Monkeys--unhinged.

Struck a nerve? Nice language considering you have often complained about how negative and hostile this place is.
