  1. Also side note about PFF and why we love them one day or week and hate them the next Elflein was one of our lowest graded players against the Saints just good to take most of this with a grain of salt.
  2. I only saw the graphic highlighting the pass block win rate. Good to hear about Corbett. I would like to see where Christensen ranks too. Baker definitely needs to step it up Sam had it worse last year.
  3. IMO I would not waste a moment even getting your hopes up for a top overall pick this team is not terrible enough for that and we will always win a couple games to take us out of the top five it's just what we do. Regardless of where we pick we will take a long look at the QB class in the draft next year.
  4. Run blocking looks impressive but for pass blocking we don't have anyone in the top 10 for OT or OG Elflein is 7th for Centers. So still average at best in that department and though Baker needs to stop playing like crap we also need to do a better job of protecting him.
  5. DJ Moore had been money for me in fantasy the two years prior but this year is dildos. I'm disappointed in some of his effort as has been discussed but I am putting this 70/30 or 80/20 on the scheme and playcalling McAdoo has to figure it out or hit the bricks.
  6. Oh no don't get me wrong this offense has had coaching inadequacies for some time now. Even Teddy B called them out for their foolishness and he's since been vindicated. Idk if I would go that far what we were expecting from him was a very solid #2 with speed to take the top off on defenses. But he's got a lot of making up to do for those killer drops last season I'll be the first to say Sam is terrible and not a starter but to have a receiver drop that many passes is wild. I hope we see more of him I'm ready to have a real passing offense again. I'm not putting it all on Robbie though because he isn't the only who has been up and down at the end of the day it's on the staff to put this WR group in position to succeed. If we can do that with Shenault there's no reason we can't for the others.
  7. His record says he's 27-37 as a head coach and a coordinator. Doesn't sound very QB friendly.
  8. And as far as the effect of the blitz goes teams base this on past game tape more than anything. And the tape shows quarterbacks like Darnold and Mayfield getting beaten up a lot and being inconsistent getting the ball down the field. So they will continue to throw that at us knowing our OL is being rebuilt until Ben McAdoo and our boy genius head coach can develop better gameplans and scheme ways to counter these tactics.
  9. An effective deep passing game is much more than just about arm strength though man. I mean the entire reasoning and how Panthers fans were able to cope with the Darnold trade in the first place was his arm talent and in that regard he has some of the best ability in the league. But in the end what did it do for him? We can dog on Teddy about his arm strength but the sad truth of it is our offense was the best it's been in a couple of years with him so what does that say for our coaching staff and Rhule?
  10. For the sake of clarity I went and took a look at the numbers last year and Sam Darnold finished 28th in avg yards per pass attempt only Roethlisberger Zach Wilson and Trevor Lawrence were worse and Lawrence was stuck with a complete jackass of a head coach. Right now Baker is sitting at 19th in the same metric. So yeah Darnold was largely terrible at moving the ball downfield and Baker is marginally better with very mediocre playcalling.
  11. Uh yeah he kinda did do you not remember our nonexistent deep passing game and the results more often than not when Sam threw deep? There can be more than one thing true at once. With Sam and now with Baker we are mostly inept at moving the ball downfield consistently and teams do not fear that otherwise they wouldn't be blitzing our QB more than almost every other quarterback in the league. As inefficient as those QB's have been it's clear our gameplans and playcalls are not helping matters or alleviating these issues much.
  12. I take it you're satisfied with the return on the investment of that contract so far?
  13. True but for 30 million dollars a decent block or two is the least he can do to make up for those fumbles.
  14. Or they both stink. But only one of them went 5 years without even an offer for an OC gig so you decide.
  15. Baker has been pretty disappointing and less than 50 yards in a half speaks for itself but he doesn't throw those absolutely backbreaking and morale destroying interceptions into triple and quadruple coverage from a clean pocket like you're favorite NFL player. You should probably take it easy calling others morons and clowns all the time considering your taste in NFL quarterbacks.
  16. Obviously for a late rounder. But my goodness this team can't get out of it's own way sometimes I swear. We get some good production out of the receiver we just acquired for but on the flip side our best wideout we just paid 63 million dollars to can't even crack more than 2 yards. Can we get some things working together for once?
  17. Create a thread and immediately start pooing posts because you're mad your thread is horrendous
  18. Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and say I don't think Mrs. Darnold needs thread creation privileges anymore.
  19. I can agree with that. But let's be real about what got us to this point. When we fired Ron and hired Matt we were supposed to move away from the era of bandaids on the oline ie the Dave Gettleman dollar store specials while we invested premium resources in the defense. Going out and signing Erving and Elflein to overpays on the first day of free agency was more of a past regime move and not a forward thinking innovative regime who would finally invest in the trenches to protect our signal caller. In the meantime I hope this group makes strides but I know if we don't switch gears to the offense beginning next year the same old same old will await us.
  20. We had a bottom two oline last season it was never going to suddenly make a jump to top ten or even top 15 in just one season. We could have and should have been investing more draft picks in the oline early but instead our first order of business with a new head coach who was supposed to swing the pendelum to the offensive side of the ball was an all defense draft and we are now lucky to stop the run at all despite those resources being used. I'm sorry if you perceive having to face reality as "negativity" but that's life.
  21. Weird condescending response when considering you spend the bulk of your time here griping that all anyone posts is negativity that isn’t constructive. Don't complain about the content here anymore then if you're going to be a hypocrite.
  22. With the line overall? There's no magic fix this season we have made mistakes along the way that have exacerbated these issues. In the offseason we need to target our next young C in the draft and pair him with Icky and Moton while they are all still young.
  23. Yeah that's why we were playing musical chairs with the oline all through camp and preseason. Hahahahaha you are a riot.
  24. It's one thing to disagree but you have to really be out there to believe a head coach with full control and a 63 million dollar contract isn't setting his own starting OL lineup.
  25. Just post on your main dude I already have an idea of who you are you think you're clever but you're giving yourself away. It's truly pitiful to have to hide on another account on an anonymous board lol.
