  1. I mean nicer as in picks that aren't 2 years away minimum. They weren't offering two firsts just to let him walk. He's getting paid big after next season regardless.
  2. The franchise tag exists. And in the event the Panthers get an even nicer offer next year they can heavily consider it. Some people need to take a break from this trade talk and step back from the cliff.
  3. Hayward 4-14 I'm over this guy he's washed minus a few bright spot games here and there and he'll quit the second he gets even a bruise. Not quite as bad as Batum but at this point who cares same ballpark. Did Mark Williams even get any minutes while Plumlee did what he usually does?
  4. Need a threat opposite Burns we did have one briefly with Reddick and he's doing great with the talent they have in Philly.
  5. I hear ya I was only partially serious this is just the life of a Charlotte sports fan. Under the circumstances sure it could be worse after Miles and LaMelo and other injuries. I just hope we don't see the stubbornness again with veterans over younger players.
  6. Long ovedue. I almost can't believe it finally happened. Good riddance.
  7. This again? I thought to you I was just a Chihuahua nipping at your heels now you're doing a full on investigation? Keep it going I'm flattered.
  8. So in three games we've lost to a 0 win team and a 1 win team. The honeymoon with Clifford is officially over boys.
  9. There is validity to this but it's also a different kind of trade. If someone offered us that haul to move down in the draft and we passed we could draw parallels. This does not compare to that IMO not picks two years away that could be with an entirely different GM. I get you guys are frustrated but it's getting a little excessive now. And I still don't buy for one minute any of ya'll are gonna be singing happy songs if we have a trash ass pass rush. Don't fuging sit here and lie to me lol.
  10. If you want to rewrite history that's your prerogative but we both know. As for Delhomme no he isn't a hall of fame quarterback but in his best years before the surgery he was head and shoulders way above any QB we have started since early 2019. I wish we had a QB of that caliber and not just his play but his leadership and clutch ability. We all would love another Cam but that's hitting the PowerBall twice. No Moore is not 89 idk who is saying that but it's obviously false they are two very different dudes Steve Smith had an entirely different mentality from really just about anyone else that played the position. To say he was rare only scratches the surface. He was not without his flaws either though. But DJ does not have to be Steve Smith to be impactful and help this team contend. Just as any future linebacker we draft doesn't have to be Luke Kuechly or Thomas Davis. Yes you can and should use the past as a barometer somewhat but you can't live in the past forever eventually you have to embrace new talent and appreciate what you've got while you've got it.
  11. Just saying but plenty of GM's have been fired with the approach you're going for in trading away players for picks but the problem was those picks did not end up being the returns they had hoped for and in the meantime the team sunk further so either way out of a job. You can find some examples of teams who have had success doing this but there are many more than have failed miserably. The best approach for now is to retain Burns services and look to the draft for a quarterback.
  12. It's the same people who whined about paying a QB but were perfectly fine sinking the salary cap in a running back. You can't reason with it.
  13. Alright that's enough someone take his keys and get him an Uber home.
  14. There he is! Couldn't go a whole day without quoting me huh? Now that's dedication
  15. I get the vibe he just doesn't like DJ. It's fine but he has fawned over far lesser receivers over the years like David Gettis lol. So if Moore hasn't at least proven himself to be a stud after putting up multiple 1k seasons with the likes of Kyle Allen Teddy Bridgewater Sam Darnold Baker Mayfield and PJ Walker he isn't ever going to be sold. No use trying to talk him down. Maybe he'll be happier when we end up back in the days of recycling WR's hoping even one of them shows some promise.
  16. It's time to dust this off and remind everyone to take a deep breath here and there between games.
  17. There's nothing you can say to anyone that still needs to see more tape to evaluate Walker. We could keep him around as a backup that's best case scenario. Right now one of these college QB's could play as good or better. They could also just as easily throw touchdowns for the other team too.
  18. Well only one of them plays offense. Plus many here have claimed 22 to have been the best weapon in football and we just scored 34 points for the first time since last November without him and PJ Walker was our QB. Sorry man you can't have it both ways here.
  19. I don't overvalue him I already said if we are talking two firsts this year and next I'm listening. We're comparing Burns to CMC now? He definitely hasnt gotten a pass haha people have been complaining about him for months. Is every damn discussion about a player from here on going to go back to CMC? Let it go dude.
