You have the worst sports takes. Truly.

Melvin Gordon is alright in my book.

I see you're still slinking around pooing posts. This QB room is full of scrubs Darnold Mayfield Walker all of them. I can't imagine being as fragile as you are about acknowledging this. Guess you really love you some mediocrity. Have fun with that pal. Happy Thanksgiving!

There are things to be learned from these numbers but it isn't the end all be all. You can bash the guy if it makes you feel better but we'd be damn lucky to draft a QB anywhere near his caliber of talent again. But as important as talent is it takes the right coach to maximize those abilities. Mahomes is looking to go down as the next goat but if he ended up with a Ron Rivera instead of Andy Reid who knows how his career would have started off. The same can be said with Tom Brady. Conversely imagine what Newton would have looked like with this version of Andy Reid.

Of course he wasn't he just spoke out against big brain Rhule. He should have been a one to two year stop gap while we develop our rookie but our mgmt was scared to draft one and then when we did they threw him to the wolves behind an oline of randos.

My only concern with keeping Wilks as HC…

Ron Rivera benched an MVP over a tie and immediately got embarrassed by Derek Anderson. Sean McDermott was a huge part of our run of success in that time frame and the results after he left speak volumes. Raise the bar. -

If settling for a coach who will either be an inferior or slightly better version of Ron Rivera is all we have to hope for we're just going to end up back in this situation again. Exhaust all options and keep looking for alternatives. -
You equate wanting a franchise QB and not settling for the highest paid running back in the league for 5 wins every season as hating when it's simple facts and reality. That's your problem. For all your complaining about fans talking about former players look at you now.

Some of these weirdos just like to fap to that guys stat sheet. Like if we had him throw run and catch and still lost they would look at his numbers and find a silver lining. They don't care about winning.
-
5 wins with him 5 wins without him. He's gone get over it.
-
I'd love to get revenge on the Broncos so not sure what you're insinuating. I could see him playing okay as much as I could see him throwing multiple picks. It's what he does. Only crazy folks believed he would become a franchise quarterback here. But of course you fit the bill there with your constant worship of a running back that no longer plays for our team.

The same was once said about Teddy and Sam though
-
Darnold in his own words this summer couldn't even be motivated to change how he prepares when faced with a camp competition for the starting job. I doubt he gives a poo what's going on with the Jets.

I'm not trying to be rude but you're possibly certifiable if you think Cousins is as good as Lamar Jackson. Look at the talent pool at QB in the NFC compared to the AFC. You've got fading hall of famers in Brady Rodgers and Stafford. When guys like Kirk Cousins and even Taylor Heinicke can fool people from time to time that says it all. Look at what the Eagles are doing with Hurts and what the Seahawks are doing with Geno Smith. Cousins would get eaten alive going up against Mahomes Allen and Burrow. On the flip side I think with the right team and coach Jackson would be heading to the conference championship in the NFC. But we don't agree that's okay.
-
You should really stop trying to talk about Lamar like you aren't comically biased in this discussion. You would keep giving atrocious QB's like Sam Darnold chances if you had roster control.

Before it becomes a topic of conversation this off-season

Roll the dice on a round 1 quarterback and be done with it. -
Of course. But where are you guys getting these numbers? The Ravens aren't even picking up the phone for 2 firsts. I get we don't have much to talk about but can we have just a little more realism here? Put yourself in the shoes of someone else for a moment. If you're the Ravens GM you are going to take two firsts for a 25 year old MVP quarterback? It would take an offer of 4-5 for them to listen. Even then why would you take it because if you're the GM you damn sure won't be around to use those picks you've sealed your fate.

Quote ‘DJ needs to catch the balls when thrown to him’
frankw replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been disappointed with DJ from time to time but he's only one piece of the puzzle. If this is all Wilks has for us as far as I'm concerned go ahead and start the coaching search now. Fitterer can go with him. You turn down trades yet then go and alienate the same guys knowing the bad decisions you have made have led us to this point? Incompetence. Clean house. -
I wouldn't mind him here but these dreams people have of trading for him are no different than Ron Rivera calling up the Chiefs asking about Patrick Mahomes availability.
-
He isn't walking through that door. Move on seek help or make your way over to the Niners boards.

How does that 49ers jersey fit?
