  1. I'm fine with him as a backup it's just about knowing his limitations and when he threw that pick it all came rushing back from last season. He can make you some plays in spots but you cannot depend on him to win you the game. He's basically where we were with Bridgewater but he will actually throw deep. Could do worse but can and will definitely do better.
  2. I saw the Kunkel tweet and was skeptical at best but if Person is backing up the info I'll buy it. Let's just get this hire done then.
  3. Times like this it's not even worth it to subject yourself to social media reactions. If it isn't some idiot blaming unrelated issues it's someone using this as an opportunity for emotional concern grifting to increase their own profile. I hope he makes a full recovery. Nearly ten minutes without oxygen is a big factor though.
  4. Neither is Wilks but that guy is a straight up weird one. His taste in coaches and quarterbacks is baaaad. He loved Rhule loves Sam Darnold hated Bridgewater hates Cam Newton. If it were up to him we would still be watching Matt Rhule sink this franchise.
  5. You only need to watch that replay once to know that young man is no longer with us. Tragic. Very sad it took them this long to decide to cancel the game.
  6. Make him an offer just for the hell of it but idk why he would want to coach here.
  7. I think he has a lot of potential but he was saddled with Rhule to start with who barely wanted to give him any playing time. Then this season he had Baker Mayfield then PJ Walker and back to Sam Darnold. Give him some continuity with a real QB and a better staff then see where we're at.
  8. There were actually 3 fumbles he only recovered one. Even if you give him a pass for the one that's still two plus the interception. Just can't be that careless with the ball if you want to be in the postseason
  9. Yeah definitely possible let's hope not.
  10. We got really lucky when we fleeced the Bears for Olsen. But as for this or next years class of quarterbacks you could make the argument any season that it isn't an ideal time. Next years class seems to be the mantra around these parts but when next year rolls around we start loafing around going "ehhhhh idk" haha. We do have extra picks so if a guy falls and we want to roll the dice I'll accept that.
  11. Regular season no but entering the postseason and beyond you want to be scoring minimum 3 touchdowns to give yourself a chance. The Niners and Eagles look to be the teams to beat in the NFC and they have given up their share of points. But they can get on the board when they need to. We can't. There are different reasons for that beginning with different needs like a real tight end. But our QB turning the ball over was the difference maker in the loss yesterday IMO. Brock Purdy played better than our starter. We need to leave no stone unturned in the offseason in our search for QB and it begins with the draft. I'll keep banging that 🫡
  12. If just being better than Matt Rhule is the bar let's keep Wilks and bring back Ron to the staff when he's canned in Washington. We can have two Rivera's. Still better than Matt Rhule though!
  13. The Niners gave up 400 yards of offense and 3 touchdowns to Jarrett Stidham yesterday and had to take it to overtime to put the Raiders away. There is no path to the playoffs where you are going to win with an offense putting up less than 30 points.
  14. Why do so many people on this board think other teams aren't going to score? Even good defenses are giving up 30 points this is the NFL if you want to be relevant your offense has to go toe to toe and not kick field goals. I'm over the defensive identity of this team. I want to build a juggernaut offense.
  15. Results say he had a 53.6 QBR with 3 turnovers and was bested by a man twice his age. You guys will settle for anything.
  16. Some of ya'll are being homers thinking Horn would have shut down their passing attack all game. You have to score more points.
  17. Ask your old Jets fan brethren what silver linings mean to anyone.
  18. We got burnt badly in the secondary and we just used an 8th overall pick on CB a year ago. Odds say even if we won today and made our way into the playoffs we would not shut down any of the better offenses in the NFC for four quarters. They have talent and good coaching too. At some point your offense and your QB have to lead you to more than 3 touchdowns. It's a high scoring league. That might be enough for mediocre teams but it is not getting you into a conference championship.
  19. As an interim that inherited a mess he's done a hell of a lot better than Rhule ever did hats off to him there but that isn't the bar. The search continues...
  20. Wilks has earned criticism and we should undoubtedly exhaust all options in our coaching search but some of you are delusional and not consistent with your expectations for both sides of the ball. The Bucs are a talented team they are going to get on the board sooner or later. You guys that think we are going to the playoffs holding talented teams to 14 or 17 points are just nuts. Our offense has to start putting up 30 points and more.
  21. ShockedHopefulEstuarinecrocodile-mobile.mp4 I can kind of agree with some of the things you are getting at but this division is deep fried dogshit. We won a few meaningless games and still could not thwart the efforts of a should be retired and washed up Tom Brady. If you're happy with that hey cool more power to you. That does not mean everyone else has to agree. The Panthers have been doing this for years. Folks have a right to be frustrated. That's sports.
  22. Yeah we need a healthy secondary obv but we need an offense helmed by a QB who can muster more than 24 points. The best teams in the league are regularly dropping 30 points. You guys wanted playoffs but somehow expected we would walk our way into the dance with this measly output? Nah.
  23. For a starting QB in the current version of the NFL turning the corner means not turning the ball over or putting it on the ground. The bar around here is beneath the Earth's crust apparently.
