Tip of the cap to the management of this establishment!

"Dating back to the end of last season, the Panthers have lost their most recent four games 26-0, 9-0, 47-10 and 26-3. They haven’t led a game for a single offensive play in the fourth quarter since the 2022 season (last year’s two wins came on final-play field goals)." When you see it in print it just leaves you speechless. There is bad and then there is whatever the hell this is. And the decision makers are content to see it through to the end lol.

Worse To Watch: Jimmy Clausen Era or Bryce Young Era?
frankw replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bryce Young and sadly it isn't close. -
so I've got to ask.. is it worth it being a fan of this team?
frankw replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
I completely understand and wholeheartedly relate to the conundrum. Short answer is a resounding no. But at this point in time it is best to just loosely follow the team have absolutely zero expectations and just laugh at the absurd incompetence. If they don't give a poo there's no reason for us to get upset. They deserve ridicule and nothing less until they get their act together. -
15 more weeks of this and I won't even give a sh*t about having the 1st overall pick.

Multiple things at play here. Lack of field vision due to his size. This play is eerily similar to one he had in camp where he threw a pass toward 2 defenders flanking one WR and was instantly picked. Then just casually walked away. He does not want to be there. He is checked out. He is done.

I think Young needs a sports psychologist…..
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
He needs a sports psychologist? Let's pause. Wasn't the narrative around this guy early on that he was going to be one of the more mentally sound QB's in the league because his father is in the mental health field? Wild. -
He'll be back he's survived bad times with us before. Anyway ya'll are cracking me up. This laughter in the worst of times is needed idk how everyone else feels. I guess we all have our way of dealing with this. I owe some pie to folks around here that will be given tomorrow.

He lives and breathes football. For our QB it's just a job.

Dammit CJ Stroud looks good again so far tonight.......
frankw replied to Ricky Prickles's topic in Carolina Panthers
As Panthers fans we're gonna be hearing about this one for years. I've accepted it. Just have to swallow that lump in your throat and keep moving. All that being said. This oft used cope by some people that he would have sucked here needs to never be seen again. Talent is talent. He might have had some struggles here but he unequivocally would change this offense with his physical abilities. -
The panic button was last season. This season we did absolutely nothing to give ourselves any other option at QB as an insurance policy. Dan Morgan should be ashamed of himself.
-
Another issue that was long known about when we drafted him. He almost never took under center snaps at Alabama.
-
The league made Jerry Richardson sell before Dan Snyder. They don't give a fug.

What a difference a year makes lol damn.

It's very simple. He did what he needed to do (in this case not do by hiding out at the combine) in order to get himself selected #1 overall. When he finally set foot on an NFL field in an NFL game he realized how tough it was going to be and he's been checked out since. He told us what was up by how he reacted to the conclusion of last season. He came back looking every bit exactly the same. At this point in time with what we know I see him his inner circle of agents and reps and his family as nothing more than con artists. He is the Matt Rhule of first overall picks.

Please do not confuse anything that I'm saying as being some kind of suggestion Andy Dalton is anything special. I know what Dalton is. But this regime made their bed. They could have taken a late round QB or signed a decent young backup QB one of the other teams released instead of coddling Bryce Young like an infant. This season is about development nothing more.

Of course he's a practice squad warrior he doesn't have to worry about getting hit in practice.
-
You uhh....watch the game today?
-
Damn I'm out of pie. Gotta reup!

Yes let's talk about that. We've been losing more often than not going all the way back to 2019 so 5 years now. Within just the last 2 years we've sunk lower lower and lower. But some of you think with just one player suddenly our locker room and culture is going to change overnight? That's pure fantasy. There is no Cam Newton 2.0 walking through that door. And even if there was that guy got absolute hell for being miserable over losing. So you'll have to excuse me if I don't just automatically buy in that another season of historical lows across the board is going to suddenly shift into not only competitive football again but postseason contention.
