And if this bum is the best we can hope for in a backup just make a run at Andy Dalton or see if Minshew is available.

One of the resident Darnold superfans who says he's tired of talking about him starts another Darnold thread lol.

Tepper clearly wants to change the Panthers identity

"It's logical. Just need to pick the right one." I do not have the upmost confidence in the decision making of this brain trust. Hoping for the best. -
People made the same rationalizations for Jerry Richardson. History repeats itself.
-
Might as well bring Ron onto the staff after he's canned in Washington.

Wilks never said a bad word about either QB we aren't talking about him we are talking about these looney tune fans. At some point you can only attribute the Darnold infatuation to either mental illness or..other factors. It damn sure isn’t his record. He hasn't won a game in a 4th quarter on his own going on four years now. But you keep at it pooping posts fella.

Hey! How dare you forget Mrs. Tepper. Between the two of them and the wheeler dealer himself Scott Fitterer we for sure should be contending for Super Bowls very soon.

I prefer to go offense and try a new path but Nathaniel Hackett is a fresh cautionary tale I cannot deny that.

When I see Matt I hear Frank Caliendo doing a John Madden impression just yammering on about anything. That was Rhule selling his con.
-
Rhule wasn't an offensive minded coach with NFL coordinator experience though. There were red flags when the news broke that we were hot for him like his record against ranked teams.
-
Harbaugh is probably asking for things Tepper doesn't want to give after the Rhule fiasco. He definitely wants his own GM at minimum. Not saying that is good or bad just what's likely on the table. I don't get why we are so attached to Fitterer given his overall record and the Seahawks have been doing even better since he left anyway.

Yeah with Wilks we already have a good idea of what his ceiling is. If that's all we're after we could have just kept Ron Rivera. But it's a different league now. With the changes in the division we need a head coach that can get our offense firing on all cylinders. No more worst in league history offensive performances. The Saints game made it clear what must be done.

Ben Johnson is definitely intriguing. Looking to the Lions staff to save our franchise does make me shudder a bit though.

I agree. Unfortunately the OC turned head coach route isn't without it's risks either. It's a roll of the dice but it is time we tried something different.
