Moreso a Wilks/Caldwell combo. Reich is better but not by a wide margin. He may have gotten a raw deal in Indy but he was a part of that mess on offense we can’t totally dismiss it. I'm just of the opinion we don't tie ourselves to aging coaches that are being left behind by the changing NFL.

Sounds like a nightmare scenario tbh.

I've seen plenty of takes from you in the past downplaying legit examples so I'll just say your insinuation here rings hollow at best. Hiding behind Katt Williams is beneath you.

After seeing the results of the Wilson and Watson trades so far there's no way the Raiders are going to find a trade partner they will have to cut him.

First off come on nobody is giving Rhule a pass the man is despised across the Carolinas. We also had 5 wins with Kyle Allen and CMC before Rhule got here. You can't make an RB the face of your franchise and expect to compete for championships. You don't put a good team around a running back you identify your QB and then you put a good team around that guy. We signed CMC to a historic deal with no quarterback. It sounds so ludicrous it bares repeating. We signed a running back to an historic deal before we even had a starting QB. Some fans wanted McCaffrey to be more than he was. They talked about him as if he were a quarterback. Well he wasn't. The 49ers are doing so well because they went out and got Jimmy Garropolo then they traded up for Lance and even after all that they still drafted Brock Purdy for due diligence. Meanwhile we had fans here who were about ready to have a parade when we signed McCaffrey to that contract extension. Well... reality bites.

2 missed game winning kicks in one game
frankw replied to Day1PanthersFan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have to think with a new staff on the horizon we'll have a kicker competition. Pinero got a ton of a grief from that game just like Slye Gano and Kasay before him. If you look at other teams many of them are changing kickers every few years there are far fewer long term clutch steady kickers now. -
No you aren't going to lay into me with these claims and then say you have always said it's a team sport. We both know that's not true Scot cut it out. And they should be. McCaffrey fans are not Panthers fans. He is a 49er. When Newton became a New England Patriot the very same things were said here then too. And people who openly talked about his new team were asked to take it elsewhere. You are not keeping the same energy you and I both know it. But that's fine. That's your right.

M Kaye Observer HC candidates pros and cons
frankw replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I really like Wilks he's a great guy. I just do not want to end up back at square one again like we did with Rivera by hiring another DC. And unlike Ron I do not see a Cam Newton in the draft to save the day for Wilks and hitch his wagon to for several years. Give me the offensive mind who can make things work with what limited options they have at QB for the time being and go out and hire an experienced defensive coordinator to hold down that side of the ball. But I want our bread and butter to become scoring points not holding leads. It's been years with that. Time to switch it up. -
Never said that. Said keep the same energy for your favorite offensive players. Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey are two offensive players who have touched the football for the Carolina Panthers a whole hell of a lot of times over the last several years. And you are one of the folks who has forever tied Cam Newton to his record as a starter the last 20 or so games while just putting a cover over what he accomplished before that. But hey at the end of the day that's fair in sports it's a what have you done for me lately league. And again that same energy extends to #22's time here. Just like it was best for Newton to move on it was best for him too. So the big question from here for me is this. If the 49ers win it all we know for sure there will be some very loud and proud McCaffrey fans who will let us all know about it even though it will hurt our team (via the draft position of the picks from the trade). So will those fans be asked by folks like yourself to make the jump to a new team to follow their favorite player?

Reverse racism isn't a thing you can spam 100 Katt Williams videos.

If the Ravens are moving on from Lamar should we knock on that door?
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Compared to what? He definitely isn't dumping passing yards but he has a career 63.7 completion percentage and had 36 passing touchdowns just a few years ago. I get if people aren't interested due to what he would cost. But when some folks are convincing themselves Sam Darnold is worth keeping around but Lamar Jackson isn't a good passer I have to chuckle at the huddle. -

@rippadonn Take care of yourself I always enjoyed the banter here with you even the Golden Corral memes. -
You got me there I was thinking of Kemp Rasmussen. I loved some Buckner too though.

Well any GM that likes being employed wouldn't just punt a former MVP for nothing and even if they do get a haul he's hitching his wagon to a rookie QB after such a move. Great way to end up looking for a new gig fairly quickly. -
I don't worship the ground he walks on because he is rare for the position he plays so clearly I hate just hate all white guys lol. Tell that to Kevin Greene Dan Morgan Ricky Proehl Brad Hoover Steve Beuerlein Jake Delhomme Brenston Buckner Luke Kuechly Ryan Kalil Greg Olsen even John Kasay despite the kick heard round the world.
-
He led the league in touches his banner year and the next two seasons was on pace to do the same. That doesn't compare to DJ Moore or Brian Burns because one plays defense (hello?) and the other is not touching the football even half as much. That's why the 5 wins is mentioned often. If you give your main weapon who many herald as a future hall of famer that many touches and time and time again he comes up short (happened multiple times on key fourth down attempts) then yeah people are going to ask what we're doing. The post-trade results do all the talking. People can say Fields name all they want it doesn't change the facts of the situation as it pertains to the Panthers predicament they found themselves in. Now that we have moved on from both that and Rhule things look far less bleak. Hopefully we can and will get back to having a balanced offense.

Steichen is very intriguing as well. Between he and Johnson these are two swing for the fences hires. It's got to be one or the other at this point I'll accept either.
-
Ben Johnson is my preference.

Actually I had yet to even see this thread until a gentleman not unlike yourself who says he enjoys staring at pictures of McCaffrey in his free time inquired regarding my whereabouts. Maybe you two should compare notes.
-
You care so little that you steamrolled into this thread shouting my username when I had yet to even interact with you. Yet it's me throwing the tantrum and insults. You very obviously have not moved on. I used to feel the same way after the 2015 core slowly faded into obscurity. But time heals all guy. You'll be okay just take a breather. If replying to me with these love letters is your way of coping I'm here to help

That was David. Remember the gloves? https://larrybrownsports.com/football/david-carr-please-lose-the-gloves/1124

He has the X's and O's down it's all about his vision for the team his staff and how he will reshape this roster into a real offense capable of making the playoffs. If we hire him or Steichen it's a gamble like anything else but it's time we tried a new path.
-
I've never denied his receiving ability I even advocated for him becoming a slot receiver to try and keep him less banged up. But that isn't worth 60 million dollars and giant salary cap hits that hinder our ability to build the rest of the offense. You are so mad about this. He isn't walking back through that door go cry into your pillow about it.
-
Yeah where a guy named Cam Newton led the team in rushing. You are so terrible at this lol.
