Mark Williams with a whopping 60 seconds of playing time last night in a loss against the Pistons. Put Clifford out to pasture already.

I feel very strongly about this... Derek Carr.
frankw replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
All I know is I had him as my QB2 in fantasy and he was boooooooty. Was it all him? Probably not. But I see the same reasons why he would work here that were used to justify acquiring both Darnold and Mayfield. The one thing those two had going for them was their age. Carr on the other hand will be 32 next month. Learn from our mistakes already people come on. -

There was a time a year or two ago when I would be on board. But with what we've been through trying to rehab other teams unwanted QB's it's too big a risk for us to get burned again because we will have to ink him to a big deal. If this goes south Fitterer would surely be sent packing. -
The QB School : Breaking down AR and Levis
frankw replied to Your GFs favorite huddler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ah yes surely this time we will finally strike gold in our pursuit of QB's other teams can't wait to push out the door. -
Who is the neckbeard that clearly knows virtually nothing about the Panthers season?

Says the guy who still thinks Sam Darnold could be a franchise QB.

THE ATHLETIC: Potential cap casualties….
frankw replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not too worried about the cap for the moment. But we definitely can't be handing out anymore contracts to woefully underperforming players like Ian Thomas. I know folks want to blame everything on Rhule but Scott signed off on that too. Time to cut that poo out. -
What is this hand wringing over the use of foul language? It's football.

Well you can't coach size. And as far as the running comparisons time seems to have made memories fade some. Cam Newton debuted throwing for almost a thousand yards in his first two games. He also helped Greg Olsen break some receiving records for TE's. He could sling it with the best of them in his prime. We want a QB with some mobility but we aren't going to find another Cam and we don't need that anyways because it is a passing league. Move forward with that mindset accordingly.

On the "yes man" label I mean for lack of a better or nicer way of putting it. He was. He took the job knowing Rhule had final say. Me or you might have done the same thing if we felt it would open more doors for our career as a way to get a foot in. But that's what Scott chose to do. Those criticisms come with the territory. Now he's the Boss Hogg. No more college coaches to blame if things don't work out and if he strikes gold he reaps the praise.

Scott Fitterer.... let's grade his drafts and FA signings
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's what happens when a team has not been in the postseason in over five years. In terms of complaints people bitched about Marty Hurney for years they bitched about Rivera they bitched about Gettleman they bitched about John Fox yada yada yada. This isn't something new. But Scott Fitterer can change the overall mood quickly if he is as competent as some folks have hyped him to be. Hopefully he is. -
Scott Fitterer.... let's grade his drafts and FA signings
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has himself a group of fans here who will absolve him of most if not all blame for our failures just like Matt Rhule did. Some people still haven't learned. Removing the homer shades it's a mixed bag at best there's good and definitely some bad. He has to nail this next QB move and he knows it. I hope he does and I won't have much if any criticism for the man. -

Duce Staley and Jim Bob Cooter sound like good hires.
-
Ehhh not for what the Ravens would ask. If we're giving up a haul just move up to draft our own guy.
-
-
Over Stroud? He's shorter than even Kyler Murray.
-
Ok so I've been one of the more vocal people who wanted us to shoot our shot on Fields and but it's time to move on. Stroud is our best shot and you can get on board or hitch your wagon to Brissett or Carr or Corral. But pick one and leave Fields in the rearview.

"Why does anyone care about any of this?" *continues to post about the team every single day 20+ times a day*

To Matt Rhule and the people who defended this guy tooth and nail: Fug you.
-
I won't believe it until the season begins and he isn't on a roster.
-
Well if Stroud is the pick and we give up a lot to get him ya'll can prepare for the microaggressions and assessing every minute detail of his game including his work ethic.
