  1. Excellent post sir. I concur with most of this. I'm also concerned about the glaring lack of any semblance of leadership on the offense. Like yeah I get the rah rah we're keeping Shaq Thompson because leadership but the defense got ran over by Pittsburgh in Carolina last year with that leadership. Our new rookie QB can only do so much to pickup the slack in that dept. We are going to need some veterans.
  2. I know you're mostly kidding but others aren’t. At some point this whole convo has to shift to our OL though. As much as Sam Darnold sucks the oline didn't look as great to finish the season and we're only as good as our depth so that should be just as key as replacing Moore.
  3. Moore can be replaced the issue isn't just that it's also getting an even better player we just raised our own bar by discarding him. Now the stakes are even higher for Fitt. That's on him.
  4. See this is why folks can't have convos with the pro Young camp. If you guys aren't calling Stroud trash you're flailing about just taking tall QB's because people have concerns about Bryce.
  5. You seem to be implying I hate Bryce. That's absurd. Unlike some of the fans here in his camp I do not think he is "trash" like some have labeled Stroud while hilariously claiming to not be Bama fans. Both prospects have many more pros than they do cons and check the boxes we seek. It boils down to do you think the heigh/weight will be an issue. It's a personal opinion thing. As for the trade involving Moore I am wait and see. I remember having many a heated convo with Panthers fans back in the day about whichever mediocre WR we were hoping would be the next Moose let alone anywhere near the stratosphere of a Steve Smith. Nothing is guaranteed. Hopium is high right now but having to hit on both a franchise QB an elite WR and find a legit TE in one offseason is a tall order. If you guys think it can be done you should get your egos ready to be checked because it probably won't happen quickly and there might be some lumps along the way.
  6. Funny but I assume you've been here as long as I have and the best WR's we've fielded before him through almost 3 decades were 89 Moose Brandon LaFell and briefly Kelvin Benjamin. He's already 4th in the all time receiving list. Downplay how not easy it will be though if it makes you feel better
  7. Oh believe me I've already been considering this possibility. Same can be said for vice versa if we take Young and Stroud or one of the others becomes a star. It's a pickle.
  8. Obviously he is not Hill or Jefferson or Chase. But the onus is on us to not only replace him but considering we discarded him we must find an even better replacement. Trading him was the easy part.
  9. You're doing some word twisting there. Sports talk is entertainment. I did not say I would be entertained by an injury to him or anyone else. But there is a reality that he may be more likely to get banged up. If it can happen to Matt Corral it can happen to him or even Stroud. This is why it's important to keep investing in the oline. Some of you are happy with recent moves but I do see warning signs if we aren't careful. We are basically hitting reset on the offense. Can't afford any misses right now. Fitterer has got to be A+.
  10. Nobody got fleeced in the trade it's an unknown until we see our future QB and DJ Moore in a bears uniform. But folks already declaring Moore a dud in Chicago before he's already suited up may want to slow their roll.
  11. Running backs and linebackers has been the Panthers bread and butter for years. How many winning seasons again? We've finally moved on from one in that formula but we still can't seem to figure out the other. If we got a steep discount then I have no complaints. But that seems highly unlikely given Shaq's own venting about the possibility of taking a paycut.
  12. I'm kinda getting to the point where I almost want us to take Young. And then if he gets banged up because our OL is still a work in progress (it is folks and March hopium doesn't change this) watch them groan saying how could this happen. It will be entertaining at least.
  13. I like Shaq. Doesn't mean I have to ignore the warning sign of us investing in an aging linebacker again. Anybody who says something you don't like is a pathetic troll huh? Staying up until 1 am to defend Shaq's honor because you want to look good in case he reads these posts doesn't make you superior. Welcome to real life.
  14. Some of ya'll just don't keep the same energy and can't handle when your hand gets slapped. Folks have been dragging DJ Moore through the dirt for 24 hours. But you're giddy because we've got a linebacker under contract until he's 31. Gotta love it.
  15. I called him by his name jb I'm not the one spamming posts. That's only your ilk. I'm not going anywhere bub.
  16. So how many games before he's injured again?
  17. Little Eric swears he isn't a Bama fan but he's sure to hurry back and poo posts. There was a time I would have been fine with either Young or Stroud but these jokers are mentally ill and doing Bryce no favors.
  18. Since when does one need to speak like Carlton from the Fresh Prince to be a leader?
  19. He went on Twitter not long ago to specifically vent about fans wanting him to take less money. I'll be shocked if we got a big discount.
  20. Trade a 25 year old WR. Extend a 29 year old linebacker. Panthers football folks.
  21. Are you a Bama fan? You'd have to be to have this kind of chip on your shoulder like they've been this scrappy underdog winning with rejects or something. That's still a talented program led by Saban one of the winningest coaches in college football history.
