There is no timeline where Bryce Young will ever be a top 7-10 QB. He has virtually no physical tools and he needs elite talent and perfect conditions across the board AND the other team falling flat on their face for him to have a "career day". There's just no valid reason to continue to afford a QB with 44 career games this many excuses. Never seen anything like it. Even the Kyle Allen mania was a brief blip on the radar. It seems like some people here will be thrilled if he is sinking our salary cap on a new contract extension and still playing the same way. Makes absolutely no sense but it's where we're at. Can't reason with that. Sheer lunacy.

In general I have been indifferent to you despite the Patriots fan stuff and generally flaunting your wealth but this bit is not hitting the mark and it isn't you. Besides. Looking down on other fans and basically blaming them for our woes to me definitively fits the bill of "beta" behavior more than anything else here. This is not a perennial contender. I think we all agree Xavier Legette leaves A LOT to be desired on the football field. We also agree that Canales is certainly with faults on his own on multiple fronts. That being said. Some folks are very unnecessarily going into overdrive to spin a #1 pick who just happens to be the most undersized QB in the league (yes he is shorter than Kyler Murray let's just be real here) finishing with the lowest single game passing yardage per 24 attempts since all the way back to 1980. Legitimately if some of you ARE NOT on Tepper's payroll you should be.

Exactly standards that used to matter suddenly don't. The acceptable bar for a #1 pick has gone from the expectation of a meteoric rise to outright shoeshining and caping for a guy just because once in awhile he does something 31 other starting NFL QB's can do and that's when he isn't looking like complete dogshit more often than not. And yet if you point this out. YOU are the problem in the eyes of some. If it sounds like a cult. That's because it is.

The Jets are the Jets yes. But this Bryce Young led offense LABORED just to score one touchdown against that team. Bryce had 138 passing yards.

44 (yes that's fourty four) games into his career it should be very firmly established and settled knowledge that we are very very limited from all angles with Bryce Young as our starting QB.

I don't want Canales fired but he's definitely opened the door to a fair amount of skepticism and criticism for some things. As far as Rico Dowdle goes I was thrilled with how well he had been playing earlier in the season but I questioned the sustainability of it myself. And it was by no means the first time a lesser known RB came out of nowhere and put up great numbers. It's why the position is so plug and play now. And we see Chuba has came back down to Earth as well following a very productive season last year. And the elephant in the room is it took the Panthers having the highest paid OL in the league in order for both of them to put up the numbers that they did. In terms of the lack of running game all around right now it leads to not just a question of the gameplan and the playcalling but to a question of how do we establish the run anyway with such a pathetic passing game? I mean that's a basic building block of modern football. You pass to setup the run and vice versa. We need to see this offense with a QB who isn't Bryce Young or Andy Dalton.

Shough had 279 more passing yards than Bryce Young today and he only threw the ball 3 more times than Bryce did. Incredible.

I cannot make this more clear. We can fire Canales we can fire Evero we can fire the entire staff and start all over from scratch....again. But no coach alive or dead is going to be able to change Bryce Young's physical limitations. All of these issues revolve around the fact that he is NOT a franchise QB.

Even if we somehow beat the Bucs win the division and get in the playoffs everyone knows how the playoff game is going to go. So far the pattern under the Bryce Young Panthers is pretty fuging clear. It will just end in yet another embarrassment.

Yes and him being the son of a psychologist was an oft used reasoning before the draft for why he was years ahead of his age in football IQ leadership and handling the day to day pressure of being an NFL starting QB. It is simply hysterical how narratives change.

I've been iffy on Canales for awhile now. I think we need to explore all options for a possible upgrade at HC in the offseason. All that being said. This is the second head coach we are throwing under a bus when Bryce Young has played absolutely abysmal football and he is heading into his fourth year as a starter. We need a new QB room before we can really know what the potential of this team is. I think guys on the team do legitimately like Bryce Young but when he plays like this and his faults become so glaringly visible it has to take the wind out of everyone's sails and create a domino effect. At the end of the day when the #1 pick and third highest paid player on the roster can play that horrifically why should anyone else care much less risk themselves to injuries.

He is unfortunately a liability and not worth being the 3rd highest paid corner in the league. No matter how much we might like him personally that's just a sobering reality people are going to have to face. And his salary cap hit is only going to balloon over the next few years.

These people on social media with these blind mice level takes on Bryce Young at this stage in his career are either outright stupid trolling or just looking for attention. Either way a very sobering and sad reflection on the intelligence of the average American.

People like OP have largely been on a milk carton for weeks and will assuredly continue to do so now after this embarrassing game.

Any future scenario that involves picking up Bryce’s option or giving him an extension is only going to end in misery. There are various factors with this team that need to be addressed. But first and foremost you need a QB and we do not have that guy. Unfortunately I expect our FO with their marching orders from the Tepper's to continue doubling tripling and quadrupling down.

Yeah and what makes it even more insulting is we have had extremely contentious discussions here on the huddle about his complete body of work as a starting QB (not a cherry picked sample size) to the point that some people have told other fans that they are what is holding our franchise back. Then Bryce goes out there and plays like this again. The man has 54 yards on 24 attempts. I don't even care what happens next week at this point. This is not a playoff team with him at QB. The only thing I want to hear from now on is which QB are we drafting and which FA QB are we targeting. Period.
