Yeah I've heard about the declined visits. Ultimately I think that's just young guys being immature but it ultimately doesn't amount to anything because odds are likely even if it isn't the Hornets he's going to a team that isn't in a great situation regardless. And at the end of the day money talks. But to be clear I'm open to different options. I just don't want another raw long term project.

At this point I just want someone that can bring some juice and energy. I'll take a young playmaker with an ego who can back it up production wise on the basketball court over the project player duds we've been drafting.

Draft day is upon us.... Which bust we drafting tonight boys?

The division is most certainly wide open. The Bucs are a problem but Baker Mayfield is and will remain his own worst enemy it's a matter of when not if he has a bad game or even a stretch of bad games. As far as the Panthers they have done an admirable job of trying to address needs as best they can without pulling a Scott Fitterer and getting desperate which has only made us worse off in the past. On the Bryce subject all anyone can really say at this point is we just have to wait and see. This is the year and despite what the Panthers may say publicly doubling down and going all in on WR is as good as any sign anyone should need that they expect Bryce Young to have a very productive and convincing season. The pieces are in place. They aren't perfect but nothing ever will be. Regardless there's honestly no excuse for this staff and this team not to be able to compete in this iteration of the NFC South. Also just want to say this because I can say the hyper defensive posts already being made in here and it's probably going to be a season with highs and lows again but hopefully more highs for sure. But just because there is dialogue about a position group or a player that challenges your preconceived notions or makes you uncomfortable does not make it "hate" or "anti" this player or that player. For some people who talk a lot about nuance you would think this wouldn't need to be stated but that's where we're at.

It's a combination of factors. I think the biggest being the perception of our franchise as a whole. And while I do think there is an entitlement attitude with some of the newer generations of players nowadays I can't really blame any of them for not wanting to come in just to play second fiddle to an albeit clearly talented player in LaMelo Ball but also at the same time let's just put all our cards on the table here he is also extremely hot and cold and lackluster at best on the defensive end. And that's when he's actually available to play which isn't often anymore. He's somehow averaged less playing time than even Gordon Hayward the last few years. While I can appreciate your stance and not wanting to give up on him. We're heading into year 6 broski. Enough is enough.

With rumors swirling that multiple lottery picks refuse to workout for the Hornets and one directly stated he doesn't want to play with LaMelo Ball it's hard out here to be a damn Hornets fan. But at the end of the day even though this franchise has plenty of blame LaMelo Ball himself has been immature time and time again and seemingly spends more time getting terrible tattoos than honing his craft that actually pays him hundreds of millions of dollars.

Slow drivers on 2 lane roads especially can create dangerous circumstances. And I definitely get the frustration. At the same time far too many people nowadays are demented behind the wheel. I mean you can be running 10 over and still some idiot will be riding your bumper. And where I live even in residential areas people speed. Unless there are heavy speed bumps they just barrel right over them. Truth be told Americans on the roads are the worst beings you'll ever encounter on this planet. Sadly not an exaggeration.

You yourself finally showed up here after the first two games all but waving the white flag so don't hurt yourself getting down off that high horse my friend. And as far as throwing deep goes while he showed improvement we are still waiting and wanting to see that consistently and early in the season when we are playing for playoff position. And let's just be completely clear here. We've selected first round wide receivers in back to back drafts including an 8th overall pick in order to give ourselves the best possible look at Bryce as a passer. The FO despite their faults are at least trying.

I can't speak for others but yes I read it. The conclusions are based heavily around the use of the statistical metric DYAR created by football outsiders and used by ESPN for this article. It only includes players whose production began in 2000. But excluding HOF running backs who produced BIG in an iteration of the NFL that was not yet catered to making things much easier for offenses in order for them to prop up more recent candidates is rather absurd and seems like just playing favorites regardless of where one might fall on their opinion of the use of the metric in question.

Injury prone Christian McCaffrey but no LaDainian Tomlinson? This is what happens when any jabroni can call themselves a sports analyst now.

I agree with you sir. Let's hope Canales is learning.

I mean we haven't had a winning season in going on 8 years we have had the worst win percentage in all of sports the last few years and we spent most of last summer arguing with each other on whether to be hyped or cautiously optimistic. To the point he was trying to moderate the discourse all throughout training camp. The staff then decided to hold the starters out of preseason until the very end and we started off the season with two of the ugliest losses in franchise history. Yet apparently in his mind the problem is....the fans who are justifiably apprehensive to buy the hype again before seeing some consistency in actual games? I don't see anything remotely unreasonable about it and it certainly doesn't make anyone any less of a fan or inferior to someone else unless that someone is mentally ill.

It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.

I'd tend to be on the side of not tempting fate on this subject and be perceived as possibly dunking on others for being injured considering we had a physical specimen at QB whose body broke down and ended his career early. Then there's also the Christian McCaffrey saga that is continuing in San Francisco now. In this sport anything can happen to anyone sometimes it just boils down to plain luck.

It would be playing with fire. Some franchises can get away with it. We are not one of them. Too much youth and inexperience. Back to back years starting out the season with 2 road games right off the bat we need to hit the ground running to avoid another repeat of last season.
-
The next time a contrarian barrels in here trying to tell other people to be nice to the Tepper's just show them this.

Are they really back to pushing new cringy slogans? Keep Pounding!

I do think updated uniforms are happening one way or another within the next few years. But I would say we should hope for more of a tweak here and there versus new uniforms from top to bottom. The track record for teams that underwent a complete uniform refresh seems to be either underwhelming or outright trash looking back the last decade or two.
-
No sense getting this worked up before training camp geez. There will be plenty to argue about then.
-
I definitely can appreciate the enthusiasm but for right now I'd just like to see a much improved team culture and maybe a winning season and go from there.
-
I like the progress on the goal line but definitely need to see the work from the passing offense in the middle of the field improve. It's been a problem area for us for some time now. Credit to our new safety though.
-
Now THIS is the news we need.
-
I like the confidence. Hopefully he's going to bring some swagger to the upcoming season. It will translate to the rest of the locker room.

Absolutely any Panthers fan should feel the same. On the flip side I am glad the Panthers are changing gears and prioritizing developing their young roster. I know we all long for the days of how fun the 2015 season was but being realistic outside of that the Rivera years had a tendency to be loyal to aging vets to a fault and as such we still never had consecutive winning seasons.
