  1. Dumping on Icky to cover for our #1 pick being outplayed by a rookie is such embarrassing foolishness.
  2. Wilks is a good man but he is not a very good coach. It happens. Time to move on from this once and for all.
  3. The fat lady has sung. Can't get swept by the Saints and a rookie QB and still consider yourself a contender of any kind.
  4. Bryce was sacked once. Shough was sacked 5 times. We beat him up all throughout the first half. His best RB was out. He still had the better performance. Some of you have standards for everyone but Bryce Young and it's just sad.
  5. When Bryce looks good we have weapons. When Bryce gets outplayed by a rookie 8 games into his career suddenly we have nobody. I love this place.
  6. Well at least the Hornets won. 25 points for Miller 29 points for Knueppel.
  7. It's for the best this team doesn't get a playoff spot anyways. Being swept by the Saints indicates we would just suffer another embarrassment.
  8. And the end result will be the same as it has been with now two different coaching staffs.
  9. Bryce to his credit did not play anywhere near as bad as he had in previous outings against the Saints. He had some good moments. But that's a testament to just how horrible he has played at times that when he plays mid we see it as a monumental achievement. Ultimately when you watch all four quarters of this loss you will see that even though Bryce had some success the offense is still being held back by him. We run this offense to his strengths to a fault and everything has to go perfect for him to have success. The TD throw to Coker was a great play between him and Jalen but even with that it was an example of a defender getting caught flat footed. Bryce was in no way shape or form throwing lasers into tight or contested windows like Shough was and Shough was under duress for much of the first half and even the third quarter while Bryce was largely kept clean. It's funny you mention Parcells. Parcells himself accurately summarized what Bryce Young would need to be and do in the NFL in order to justify going #1 with his glaring physical limitations. "He better walk on water". We've seen terrible from Bryce Young. We've seen really good. We've seen mid. None of those versions of Bryce Young will ever get this team to competing in and winning playoff games. Even when he has looked really good it's been sandwiched between games like the 49ers loss. Bryce has graduated from being abysmal. He's now a so so servicable starter in ideal conditions. But that's not what we traded the farm for. In that regard it's time to keep looking. Nothing personal against him nothing biased just plain old fashioned acknowledgement of reality and the situation as it stands. And to be clear Bryce is not the only part of this roster we need to be taking a long hard look at. There are guys some of whom are making a boatload of money who need to be consistent or else too. And our head coach needs to call a better game in crucial moments and stop getting outcoached or we need to weigh all possible options in the offseason. I said all along this game would be a watershed moment for this roster this staff and this team with finally breaking a curse of 8 years of losing at stake. There are many difficult truths we need to be facing after this loss. And no matter how uncomfortable it may be each and every one of those truths must be faced head on. Beginning with the most consequential position on the football field.
  10. Not being able to run a QB sneak after trading the farm for a QB is something we would be laughing our asses off at every chance we got if this were any other team.
  11. QB's overwhelmingly win games when it matters most and that is what Shough did in both games while Bryce floundered. I understand you've effortlessly slipped back into your contrarian know it all shtick but reality is reality. And no you don't need to quote me any further.
  12. People have been saying for awhile now that Jaycee Horn (while talented and capable of flashing great play from time to time) still isn't worth top 3 corner money because he is too inconsistent. Still doesn't change the fact that a rookie QB 8 games into his career outplayed and swept our 3rd year QB 43 games into his career. And Dave Canales continues to get outcoached. Hard truths all around.
  13. Good lord we should have just kneeled it that was insult to injury.
  14. Defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for the year. Bryce Young has the highest paid OL in the league.
  15. QB QB QB QB QB QB QB QB QB QB QB QB Somehow the Saints have a better QB than us. We're going nowhere until that changes.
  16. Franchise QB over everything else. You can always hire another DC. You can't consistently overcome your #1 pick being outplayed and swept by a guy the league resoundingly clowned them for drafting. He ain't the guy. It is what it is.
  17. As much as Evero is a problem. The fact that Shough has outplayed our #1 pick in both games is an even bigger problem. I would argue it is the problem and nothing will change until we shore up this QB room.
  18. Bryce has had some good moments today. But yes this is sadly true and it should not be. Especially with the division on the line for us for the first time in at least 8 years. And it is why we should absolutely keep QB at the top of the pecking order in the first two rounds of the upcoming draft. We cannot keep allowing this to continue.
  19. Rookie Shough was once again the better passer overall today. And we sacked him 5 times.
