  1. One trend I'm seeing in these repetitive circular conversations that ultimately go nowhere is the need for people who are super defensive of him to hit the "reset button" as if he is still a rookie. Even if we can look past the 49ers loss the Saints loss is just completely inexcusable. They still only have 2 wins and one of them was against us in our own stadium. That is poverty plain and simple. At the end of the day where we are with Bryce Young is he is having Kyle Allen level peaks in between very underwhelming perfomances. And at the end of the day Kyle Allen only got 13 games. Thirteen. And he was undrafted. Bryce Young is 42 games in and he is a #1 pick. Nobody is being unfair to him folks. But there's no need to continue to eviscerate one another through the bye week. We will have the answers we seek in New Orleans. Because frankly my expectations are high. We should not play down to the level of our competition against them. Honestly I expect Bryce and company to blow them out. If we are serious about winning the division and making the playoffs for the first time in many years that is what it is going to take.
  2. It's unfortunate that contracts keep ballooning but he plays a position of great importance and he is young. This is why it is important for the FO to prioritize drafting OL going forward. We already have the highest paid OL without the Icky contract.
  3. If he is truly ready then activate him but I would prefer to give him an extra week. Let's be honest. If we can't defeat the Saints without him then our quest for the division is already toast. We will need Hunt big time against the Bucs and Seahawks to finish the season.
  4. I remember how big of a twat Younghoe Koo was after that one game against the Falcons. I thoroughly enjoy seeing that douchehnozzle flail.
  5. Sir. Bryce Young has started in 42 career games and has 3 games with over 300 passing yards. And two of those were within the last month. Let's give XL a little more time.
  6. Adam Thielen has not had "tremendous success" Even TMAC has been directly thrown under several buses for not hauling in Bryce Young's at time poorly placed passes. Bryce on that touchdown throw to Coker was one of the best I've seen and what I expect to see. THAT is the ball placement we need from our starting QB if we are going to win this division.
  7. Selective sample sizing isn't going to make Bryce Young a franchise QB. How he and the team finishes the season is all that matters. If we win the South and get into the playoffs then he will have basically ended the conversation for the foreseeable future. That however should not under any circumstances preclude the team from overhauling the QB room and adding a younger QB with potential behind him. That is what a serious team concerned with winning would do regardless of what transpires to conclude the season. I would hope virtually all of us can agree on that.
  8. Yeah it's a blessing they are still a part of the team in some capacity even if they are basically just fans like us now. Hopefully we can finish the season strong and snag this division title and restore the vibe. Everybody needs it.
  9. It amuses me greatly that there are actually people who want to give this guy more free contract money while we have Andy Dalton here basically stealing money from us.
  10. XL is a very frustrating player at times and has plenty of work to do if he wants to be a long term starter in this league. But he's 27 games into his career. He is basically a fringe second round pick and we drafted him knowing he was a raw prospect. Obviously could argue all day and night about who we would take in a redraft. But the parallels to the conversation about our #1 pick who is 42 games into his career are honestly downright comical. We gleefully congratulate Bryce Young for completing basic passes 31 other starters in the NFL routinely make. We are basically that parent at their kids little league football games when it comes to Bryce Young doing literally anything construed as positive. I think we can give Xavier Legette a little grace and a little more time.
  11. Legette has a lot of work to do but he's still young and talented and his best years are ahead of him. Talk of Thielen over him is nothing more than lunacy. I assure you the Vikings would gladly take XL over the guy they just released.
  12. Let's start with the division and go from there.
  13. Cam didn't clean up his footwork until the very end unfortunately. But Cam Newton also didn't need 40 career starts to finally showcase his worth as a #1 pick. Completely different situations.
  14. If Canales and Bryce Young lead us to a division title and a playoff berth only one or two trolls will be remotely complaining. 99.9% of this fanbase just wants to see the team back to winning football when it matters most.
  15. I have no idea what the future holds for our RB room. But Chuba is a great guy and a talented back. He had a gritty game today. He has heart. Some other highly paid players could and would have gone into a shell after what he's been through but he was highly motivated and put in some serious work and was a tremendoush help to his team. That's a leader. Kudos to him. We should not discard Dowdle though. We will need all hands on deck if we want to make a run at the division. Let them both touch the rock and whichever one is the hot hand on gameday you ride that wave.
  16. The TD throw to Coker was a dot and one of the best throws I've seen Bryce make. Credit where it is due to both of them that was a beauty.
  17. Canales has shown the potential to be a good coach. It's the very high highs and very low lows usually immediately following those highs that have been an issue. In that regard the exact issue applies to Bryce Young. But. Take care of business in our division and virtually all that talk will fall to the wayside. Right now this team desperately needs to shed fluke status and cement consistent big time convincing wins to finish the season. Beating the Saints and sweeping the Bucs will unequivocally achieve that. They control their own destiny here. We need to come out of the bye on a mission. We cannot get comfortable again and our franchise does have an iffy history with bye weeks. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
  18. If we can beat the Rams then this team damn well better handle business against the Saints and Bucs. This division should be ours for the taking. Anything less is completely inexcusable.
  19. Credit where it is due great play all around from the OL Bryce and TMAC. No matter what happens it is a relief to see our young playmakers gaining confidence and playing well. They came prepared today. Maybe we'll get to see this more than one game at a time. We certainly need that heading into December.
  20. The Panthers clearly have enough capable weapons for their QB to throw to. Bryce should be completing touchdowns passes like that regularly. The inconsistency is the issue and the weird flexing beteeen bad plays and not bad plays oddly completely glosses over the fact he is now what 42 games in? He's not a rookie and he's not a year two QB. How he finishes the season should dictate his future if we are a serious franchise. And even if he plays better this QB room unequivocally needs legitimate competition regardless.
  21. Between Bryce Young's passing and Dave Canales play calling this is just undignified.
