  1. He's talented and a good locker room presence but in no way is he a top 3 corner like he is being paid.
  2. I'll be curious to see if Joe Brady in his first HC stint follows the tendencies of our own head coach regarding the tunnel vision for the offense.
  3. Looks like 5'9. Don't know why people still debate this. He's in his fourth year lol. Even if he was actually 5'10 it wouldn't change anything. We still have to roll him out of the pocket constantly just for him to see the field. The limitations are what they are. Everything else is just cope.
  4. I honestly don't think he is even fond of this franchise. He couldn't wait to leave. I understand the sentiment in some capacity but we have to stop looking in the rear view.
  5. @poundaway must be reeling. Joe Brady rn:
  6. All jokes aside Alabama clearly exaggerated his measurables. And everyone saw him show up to the combine looking like he just chugged a 5 gallon water jug.
  7. I have to imagine there were very few outside candidates legitimately considering the position. Everybody around the NFL saw that press conference and how they talked about McDermott. I think Joe Brady is a good offensive mind but who knows if he will be successful as a head coach. But now that he and everyone else knows what the bar for success is in the eyes of Bills ownership I think he's in over his head. I'll be surprised if he is as or more successful than McDermott was in the postseason.
  8. Well weren't many people fairly low on the 2024 QB class? Maybe the 2027 class will be the one. As far as the 2026 Panthers and Bryce Young goes we either need to look really good or really bad. Hoping for other teams to fail or win for us because we can't handle business on our own is just mediocrity and will only serve as an excuse for our front office to continue doubling down on Bryce.
  9. The Pro Bowl has been a joke for years now. That's why when people gripe about such and such Panther not getting selected I just shrug. I understand in some situations guys have bonus triggers in their contracts for making it but meh.
  10. Gambling on lack of size and measurables has been common place for years now. But what I'm saying is generally it has been limited to receivers. Right but who in the NFL would even consider drafting this kid as a QB in the first two rounds if at all? And how good could he have looked at times playing at Alabama with the winningest coach in modern college football history? Do you think it would have raised his draft profile? We should reconcile with the fact that we have become the gopher for the rest of the league thanks to the trade up for Bryce Young. We took the massive L so no one else will have to even remotely consider it for many years to come.
  11. Well realistically if you're going to gamble on a phsyical outlier WR would be the position to do that. Not your most important player on the field.
  12. We will have options at receiver in the later rounds. Outside of a promising OT falling to me there is no scenario where we should not be looking defense in round 1.
  13. Our QB is realistically 5'9 and 180 soaking wet and we traded the farm for him so we really aren't in much of a position to judge.
  14. Shot 40% from 3 tonight. If this young roster can ever string together several games of quality shooting they could be a playoff team.
  15. Folks like him have lowered the bar for Bryce Young so much there basically is no more bottom but he'll turn around and happily label another young quarterback cheeks. This is peak cope.
  16. Darnold was never going to be the player he is now with Matt Rhule or Steve Wilks. But as has been stated repeatedly he always had all necessary physical tools to be a top 10 QB. Anyways between the two current teams in the Super Bowl the bigger whiff is not just waiting another year and drafting Drake Maye without giving up a ransom. We are in the position we are in because our owner was both impatient and desperate to win something in the eyes of the media. He made a big splash. The biggest he had yet. And it's been our biggest regret probably in franchise history. Now finally he is exercising patience but with the wrong guy. And there is a possibility we back our way into QB purgatory and sign him to a contract extension. Ultimately it all goes back to Tepper.
  17. Welp looks like a Seahawks Patriots Super Bowl.
  18. I don't like Stafford but as I said playoff experience matters and the Rams have that in spades.
  19. No love for the Seahawks as a franchise but I must admit what Mike MacDonald has done there in such a short time is impressive.
  20. People wanted Jake out people wanted Cam out people wanted Teddy Bridgewater out people wanted Sam Darnold out people wanted Baker Mayfield out. It's always been this way. Every single one of the aforementioned QB's still had more physical talent than the guy we have now. Nobody with a functioning brain actually wanted to downgrade to the smallest starting QB in the league and trade our best WR to do it too.
  21. Darnold 11.6 yards per attempt. Certainly moving the ball well.
  22. I can understand that but you also have to acknowledge that under the Tepper's this team has prioritized marketability almost to a fault even sometimes over actual intangibles. I mean look at Xavier Legette. And the perception of BY's marketability from the viewpoint of the Tepper's was sky high. As far as the hype yeah that machine exists because of Alabama. Safe to say though after Tua Mac Jones and Bryce Young that tide has turned. You'll be hard pressed to see franchises considering hinging a #1 pick on an Alabama QB again. From here I just hope we don't drag this out any further. Bryce Young needs to lead this team to a playoff berth and a convincing playoff win if we are to even remotely consider a long term contract extension.
