Ellis Williams charlotte observer Mock draft Apr 10
frankw replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I need to name names? Anyone who has perused the huddle the last 6 months or so has seen the folks who kept saying give Darnold another chance lol. As skeptical as I am of Young I'll take his potential ten times out of ten over that. Appreciate the convo 🫡 -
Peter King: Bryce Young inching closer to Carolina

I hear ya bud. Just gotta hope that he will become the ultimate outlier of all outliers. It can happen. Right? -

In total fairness iamhubby1 if it were up to you and your sunshine and rainbows crew we would still be starting Darnold. -

I'm in the camp that thinks our OL is not the level some fans have gone ahead and declared it to be. Like okay admittedly Sam Darnold was a poo QB as was Baker but the oline didn’t do them favors. But for some reason some folks see inserting a QB smaller than any of last years quarterbacks Corral included who got pummeled in preseason as profit. You have to laugh a little at the situation. -

Yeah it's pure hopium at this point. But I damn sure would love to see it work out that way. -
This thing has gotten out of control. If we draft Bryce and he doesn't walk on water some of ya'll are going to have some explaining to do.

Which QB Best Fits Reichs RPO Style Offense?
frankw replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
In a short time we've gone over their traits to an adnauseum point. Yes certain traits can translate right away especially physical ability. But from viewing the dialogue in relation to the mental aspect I'm definitely seeing Young receive not only the benefit of the doubt but elevation to elite status over Stroud. His tape would argue the gap is not at all as wide as some of the outspoken supporters would suggest. That isn't to say Stroud isn't without his cons. But I have yet to see any definitive proof CJ is significantly deficient in this area. Just my thoughts. -
Which QB Best Fits Reichs RPO Style Offense?

Simple bias. Calling any of these QB prospects "elite" before a single NFL snap is an obvious giveaway. They all have to prove it at this level same as any QB before them. -
You are a man of exquisite culture and taste. Happy Easter!

Dean Jones from CatCrave on Panthers #1 pick

Everybody with a twitter account wants to tell everyone else what they "think" will happen. -
Yeah there are examples that can support either side of the argument. We all have opinions I respect that. On the whole you can make the case BY is a lower risk than AR. But I don't think they are as far apart as some suggest. As I've said there are many things Young does that are very impressive. Myself I'm just assessing if maybe through this process we are giving him more credit than he's earned. None of these prospects have proven anything at the NFL level. We can break down their attributes and assign pros and cons. But they will have to put in the work and have the desire to be great. I just hope we make the right choice.

It's odd how anyone can be so scared of Richardson but not Young. Both have high bust potential for different reasons. But unlike Bryce Young who isn't going to suddenly grow several inches and wake up one day and not be the smallest starter in the NFL Richardson can absolutely develop the football IQ necessary to take the next step. Honestly some people are going a little overboard hyping Young's own processing and football IQ. He isn't professor Xavier and everyone else is a total knothead. I would absolutely be considering Anthony Richardson if I were our staff.
