If our staff the front office and scouts think his arm strength is more than fine along with other teams that were looking at moving up for him I think it should be one of our lesser concerns as fans. He's only 21 and he will be hitting the weight room. Maybe let's get a look at him in training camp and preseason before declaring his arm strength this or that.

We agree QB salaries are excessive and also agree he is ultimately mediocre along with Carr. But just like Carr who was coming off one of his worst seasons with arguably the best WR in football and still got a 150 million dollar deal with his new team the same will be waiting for Kirk if he ends up in a new city. That 10 million is just a placeholder for another fat contract we both know it. That's just the nature of the position now that there are so few good starting quarterbacks. I'm just glad we finally did what needed to be done to draft and develop our own.

I'm surprised this poll is as skewed as it is toward Atlanta. Sure the Vick years were a headache but it was short lived and we've given them plenty since. Matt Ryan was a smarmy douche and exceedingly cringy but 28-3 settled that. They have no Lombardi trophy just like us. The Saints however have the hardware to hold over our heads thanks to Payton and Brees. Even the Bucs have two now. Bringing a trophy of our own home to the Carolinas to end the gloating the Saints and Bucs have over us is bigger than the Falcons rivalry guys sorry.

[Yates] Carolina has signed G Michael Jordan

Do you enjoy having a healthy starting quarterback? -
Wow sad. But in fairness in the past the Panthers have made quite a habit out of faceplanting in primetime so I honestly can't even be mad that the league gave up giving us those slots. Gotta earn that back.

Someone will have to dig to find the individual record for most sacks allowed but in my search I stumbled across this nugget from last year. Woof. -

He finished with a pff grade of 32.5 out of 54 snaps last season. Surely we can find better depth along the way after camp and preseason cuts. -
Only on the huddle does someone chime in trying to speak up for Kirk Cousins lmao. Guys you don't have to shield mediocrity anymore it's a new day. Old habits die hard I guess.

That's ten million too much to watch him throw a pass short of the sticks with the game on the line.

Everyone in and around the league saw the end of that playoff game against the Giants. It's hilarious they would even think a team would want to sign up for that for his contract.
-
Saints and it isn't very close honestly.
-
Looking at our first two games I think we can go ahead and dispense with the early notion that the league will make us one of their favorites because we drafted Bryce. They'll keep shitting on us until we make them respect us. Hopefully that will begin this summer.

Bryce Young Speaks With Panthers Legend Jake Delhomme
frankw replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
I love Cam as much as anyone. But you don't introduce him back into the locker room after drafting your new QB first overall and trading what you did in the process. It just isn't fair to Bryce or him. It would be like trying to bring back Delhomme in some capacity after selecting Cam first overall in 2011. You move on right now and honor Newton when the time comes and make no mistake he absolutely deserves that and it will be a great day for the Panthers. -
Good to hear the Panthers getting some love. It's nice to have Ryan Brees and now Brady out of the picture. If anyone thinks this might be an easy division though I would wait and see what the preseason brings. The Bucs could go either way but the Saints and Falcons will definitely test us.

53.9 pff grade in 2022 If he helps the locker room and is a good mentor cool. Just please don't let him start.
-
His play this season is fair game that's the way it goes for all Panthers players. But the trade was over 6 months ago. Complaining about it is beyond crying over spilt milk. It's no different than the two or three Panthers fans still angry we picked Bryce Young. The choice was made. Grow up and live with it.
-
This! After all the talk of supporting Bryce Young if and when he was the pick which clearly 99% of the fanbase is now doing the Burns doubters truly need to poo or get off the pot about the trade that never was. It's done live with the rest of us in the now.

Man we joke around with each other and trash talk here but that is off into another world. I can't imagine sinking so low in a time when we should be upbeat and hopeful after years of failures.

Andy Dalton is there to help ease his transition to the NFL. I imagine the first week or so of camp we'll see Young taking reps with the 2nd team offense and gradually moving to the 1st team. I trust the staff knows what they are doing given all they've invested.

Another one falls into the trap that is Sam Darnold
frankw replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I must say after all the dissecting of the 2023 #2 overall pick it is wild to see folks still saying "this is the year!" about a 6th year quarterback who finished his last start with one of the ten worst passer ratings in the history of the league. -

Good luck with all that. Glad it isn't us. -
I was thinking about this game the other day when Jake Delhomme was talking about Bryce Young. Great memory and one of my favorite games.
