Our Panthers could only wish to have a head coach like LaFleur. Trade away both your hall of fame QB and one of the league's most electric wide receivers and still be competitive in close games? I've seen so much nonsense as a Panthers fan I can't even imagine what that feels like. But our head coaching vacancy came down between two previously fired head coaches. It was always going to be this way.
-
They lost by a point and their QB put up 3 passing touchdowns. They are just as if not more competitive without Rodgers. If we lay an egg Monday night we might as well be in a different league even from the Packers.
-
I enjoy reading these "who have they beaten" takes from the fans of a team that can't even hang with the Matt Ryanless Falcons.

Scot you can't really believe that. Wasn’t last year the first time he had been an OC again in several years? We let that guy handpick our QB? We can falsely blame him or Rhule bc they aren't here anymore. But the truth of the matter is Fitterer just doesn't match the guru hype here created by some huddlers. Now we've traded even more significant assets to draft Young first overall. Are we going to blame Rhule and last year's OC for that too? The buck stops with Tepper. What you and some other folks don't want to admit is he does and has meddled. I think he pushed for the trade up for last years QB and absolutely pushed for the trade up this year. Will this one work out? We'll see.

I think we can go ahead and say whomever wanted Corral over Howell in the mid rounds should be shown the door.
-
So he didn't request a trade but was asked about the possibility? So this is just another "journalist" fishing for clicks. Social media journalism has ruined sports.

He's got a few decent draft picks. Icky most would agree was a no brainer kind of pick though. We had an immense need at LT and it was one of three options. Either way you're rolling the dice. Horn would be his shining achievement but the kid can't and possibly won't ever stay healthy. His initial signings on the OL were instant turds ie Elflein and Erving. His trades are ehhhhh Gilmore ended up being a needless GM mode on Madden kind of move. The 3rd we sent to the Jaguars for Henderson is looking like a steal for them at the moment. The trade for Shenault is likely another pointless one if he can't stay healthy which was his issue with his last team. There's just a lot of eh or meh or outright bad mixed in with his overall body of work as GM. When you consider the fact he's being kept upright on the defense by two Hurney picks in Brown and Burns you have to ask yourself what are our standards if the guy we agree was absolute poo as a GM is the only reason our roster hasn't fully bottomed out in Fitterer's 3rd season as GM.

Chicago Bears have former Panthers RB Donta Foreman as healthy scratch
frankw replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like Foreman personally but maybe it's time for the huddle to admit he has been over hyped here to a degree. -
The Saints have talent but they are not some scary juggernaut. Drew Brees is gone. Now is the time to step up and dick slap these divisional opponents. I'm tired of hearing this bs mantra from folks who wanted immediate results from Rhule now crowing about a rebuild. This conference is weak AF. The Bucs are 2-0 with Baker fuging Mayfield. Do not make excuses for more ineptitude from our front office. If we can't compete in this weaker edition of the current NFL hire someone who can do better.

Richardson has potential but if the Colts keep trying to use him as Cam Newton lite in the run game it's going to end the same way as it did for us but much quicker. I don't know what tier of starter Stroud will end up over the next few years as the Texans are not the best destination for him to say the least but he is a gifted passer no doubt. I still think and hope Bryce Young will be the best out of the group. But I'm happy to see CJ who is a good friend of Bryce doing well. Once again the folks that hated on him are very quiet. I see you 🫵

With less draft picks and what is looking like will be fairly limited cap space after Burns and Brown get paid the Panthers can't afford to let Jaycee walk. They'll just have to roll the dice on the hope he will all the sudden become at least somewhat dependable.
-
I get not giving the Saints the satisfaction of playing in their all black uniforms. But we generally are awful in ours so meh. Just give me a game worth watching idgaf what the color scheme is.
-
Derrick Brown was a Hurney pick. Our defense is quite literally being held down from being a steaming pile of poo because of him and Burns. Jaycee Horn would be a fantastic foundational piece if he could stay healthy. Other than that players like Luvu and Chinn are quality starting role players. When you get into Fitterer’s acquisitions it's not any better. We still have WR's that struggle heavily to gain any consistent level of separation. He also loves Ian Thomas. The man has been very overrated here.
-
Theoretically it should be easier to replace the WR. But I don't have much confidence in our GM in replacing either. Both players we're talking about were Hurney picks and all of us agree he was poo. But if that's the bar what are we doing with Scott and where's his cornerstone pick that stands out? Jaycee Horn? Even Derrick Brown was here before Scott stepped into those shoes. Honestly I'll probably feel better if we promote Morgan or just look elsewhere.

This really JC Horn's burner Twitter account though?
frankw replied to PantherFanInPhilly's topic in Carolina Panthers
Some of the things being said and the memes about him are fuged up. But if he is responding to random people it's not a good look. Robbie Anderson kinda vibes. At the end of the day he will be paid very nicely for a top ten pick even if he doesn't see a second contract. He could do much worse compared to the average working person. -
At this point it's giving Dwayne Jarrett vibes. He's still got a little time to change all this. But not much more. I have a hard time foreseeing a miracle 180 moment that changes his career.

Why do I have to keep explaining this over and over? Laviska whom Fitterer traded for has an injury history that's why he was available Chark has a significant injury history that's why he was available and Theilen is 33 obviously we knew he ran the risk of getting nicked up. That's three big risks right there surrounding your rookie QB. That's all Fitterer's decision. Idk what it is with folks that want to make excuses for him but we didn't do this with Hurney or even Gettleman later in his time here. When you make risky signings you take the heat that's the job. If people don't like reading about it don't visit fan discussions.
-
Obviously the injury isn't his fault but the Tepper's for the most part have been a poo sandwich truth is truth.
-
I saw the title and laughed. Can we unban Juan?
-
These Fitterer drafts are looking oof
-
Yeah the Fields hate circles back to this. We still took a guy who might not even see a second contract from us.
-
When people hear Teddy Bridgewater they envision tossing a weak pass at or behind the line of scrimmage when the team is down one or two possessions and the offense needs chunk plays. Bryce Young has played one regular season game. Safe to say it's very premature to even be mentioning Teddy right now.
-
Young can sling it. Elite arm strength is not there yet he's only 22. Off the charts physical ability isn't the end all be all anyway we saw that with Darnold. My issue is the same problems plagued us that have for the last few seasons. Our receivers are still struggling to gain separation and the ones who can are banged up and missing time. This is on our GM. He took enormous risks with this receiving core and traded away a hell of a lot for a young rookie QB.
-
The vocal Stroud haters who had their chest out back in preseason are noticeably very quiet this week.

Can't be top 10 from the sideline my guy.
