Luvu / Chinn….. why did we let them go again?
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Idk I think he was trying to mend fences for the sake of the fans here but he definitely wanted to play in Philadelphia wasn't that his favorite team growing up? But I do recall him venting his frustration toward the end of that season with us. That's just what this franchise does to people unfortunately. -
I really don't see any semblance of the Jalen Hurts that was in MVP talks a few years ago. Even if they somehow squeak past the Rams it looks like it's a wrap.

Reddick wanted to leave too remember he was vocally frustrated and expressed that on social media. This has been the story of the Tepper era Panthers. -

They would not have saved this years defense either way. Gotta put it behind you and move on. -
As sympathetic as I was to the Lions because of the Detroit factor it's honestly a relief to see Ben Johnson and the hype and arrogance behind him take a big fat L. That comeuppance was earned.

Rookie QB one game away from the Super Bowl.

Welp all I can say is whoever ends up being the winner between the Bills and the Ravens hopefully they can send the Chiefs packing enough is enough of this poo.

His OL is not holding up their end of the bargain and the playcalling is not helping too often but Stroud has to start moving around the pocket more.

Make up call nice

Hell of a throw either way.

These calls are atrocious. I feel like the ref favoritism with the Chiefs is so bad any neutral observer who may not feel strongly one way or another about the Chiefs would come away decidedly hoping they lose.

On the surface I can agree given our depth and years long void at Center trading Richards looks like it could be yet another Hornets mistake. But is it also possible maybe his talent level and overall value is being overstated? There's still a lot to be known about this trade we'll just have to wait and see.

I mean I don't think you're going to get many people arguing with you about this overall. He's even acknowledged some of this himself. But we can't change what's already happened and there's no point dwelling on it. That doesn't mean we should sweep it under the rug. He was a heavily flawed human. But people can change and mature. From what it looks like he certainly has. So with that in mind when you assess his legacy with the franchise we should do so from a full perspective and take everything into account the good and the bad.

Footwork confidence and demeanor were all night and day. If he continues to build on that in the offseason then we should hit the ground running once the season begins. But I really hope the team and Bryce are taking a different approach to all that this year. And everyone definitely needs a decent amount of preseason reps this go around that should go without saying.

Is this you? -
Some bright spots but overall so many needs on this roster.

He's got the time for all that but can't show his face once following a bad game. -

You worry far too much about what other people think about Young. Take a break. -

You're not wrong. All we can do now is see how things shake out in 2025 and it's not like we get any say in it regardless so we might as well hope for the best. -
CJ has two playoff wins in 2 years. Clearly they didn't need Johnson anyway.

Man went from the likelihood of being paid like a top 20 WR to being lucky if he can find a team that will take another chance on him. All within a span of less than 6 months. Might as well have followed a how to guide on how to torpedo his career.

WR and LB in the first two rounds does have a Dan Morgan ring to it. Going that direction at pick 8 would certainly accelerate the clock for Young and Canales and there would be no excuses for the offense stumbling out of the gate in September.

Impact Rookies in Playoffs (Beyond Round 1)
frankw replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I do have some optimism for certain things Dan has done but the draft is always the key for any team wanting to contend. The Panthers have simply been too blase about purging people involved with the previous drafts. The college scouting department is still pretty much intact when we should be cleaning house there. That not happening indicates it's a problem at the top. I don't want to say Dan Morgan is another figurehead for David Tepper like Fitterer was but there's a reason no one else was interested in the job.
