That's wild to me that Daboll's Giants are worse. What a fall from grace. David Tepper couldn't be bothered to give Shane Steichen an in person interview but fell head over heels for Matt Rhule and Frank Reich consecutively. Horrific.

You made exactly 7 posts between March and the draft. Easy to show up after the fact saying this or that without having taken a stand on any prospect. Looks like you missed quite a bit. I can help you catch up if need be. All you have to do is ask.
-
Man replied within a nanosecond You know where to find me when you want to talk about our franchise QB's numbers 🫡
-
We both know why you only want to argue these semantics about PFF into oblivion and not discuss Bryce Young's season numbers. Weren't you one of those folks who dogged on CJ Stroud too?
-
It isn't just Mahomes brother. Look at the the YPG numbers for the season in the NFL. Now look at us and how many times we throw the ball. Bryce Young despite all those attempts is only a hair above PJ Walker. *echo* PJ Walker. Yes Reich sucks. Yes we could have better weapons. But we have to get our #1 pick pushing the ball downfield or the blowout losses will continue.

Thomas Brown if he turns this offense around
frankw replied to Frank9999's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dream scenario would be Thomas Brown taking over and guiding Bryce Young to a borderline rookie of the year 2nd half of the season performance while Reich fades to the background and is eventually paid to walk away for personal reasons. Then I wake up of course. -
People are coping right into an asylum with these passing charts.
-
What's untrue about the statement? The majority of the huddle does not like PFF now. Back when we were winning or at least competitive it was used as gospel. Through all the losing the last few years it's become a target of ridicule. Anywho. Is there any particular reason you only want to talk about PFF and not Bryce Young's season numbers?
-
So you're saying another young QB has an OL worse than ours. And he's still producing?
-
Mostly the PFF threads have been used to poo on Brian Burns from what I've seen. The cope in this thread is ridiculous though. Guys posting game by game passing charts for good or elite QB's and completely glossing over season numbers and where our #1 pick ranks in completion % YPA and YPG. And you want to talk to me about ulterior motives
-
Oh cute more charts. Howell is still slinging it though. He's 9th in YPG.
-
Brock Purdy without McCaffrey will be interesting to check in and see how he's doing. 2023 Daniel Jones is horrific and a cautionary tale for anyone developing a young QB. Daboll's status as the next hot name has pretty much cratered. Hurts is still probably the best the NFC has to offer but not in last years form. He's middle the pack in completion % but still within the top 11 in both YPA and YPG. Bryce Young is 24th in completion % 33rd in YPA and 22nd in YPG. Individual game charts only tell part of the story unfortunately and are often used here to cope.

We traded our best WR we had in years (while people complain about Bryce not having weapons) next years first and more to draft a QB at 1 whom we are hyping in this very thread for a "big time throw" of 15 yards. With those circumstances you're gonna see some positivity and negativity. That's life.

The passage of time and the suckage of Reich have made people forget apparently. I vividly remember getting destroyed by the Bengals in one half of football and failing to vanquish the lowly Steelers at home who got blown out by the Texans this season and playing not to lose against the Bucs with the division on the line. Both are dinosaurs who had been fired already. What we needed all along was to go the youth route and hire an up and coming NFL coordinator. We opted for choosing between two retreads with head coaching experience. It failed again.

That's alot of green within 10 yards of the LOS for an offense that was shut out of the scoreboard for 3 quarters. Hopefully Thomas Brown is up to the task of moving the offense further.
-
I can understand the hesitation but with what we invested in him he's just going to have to work through it and hopefully become a better seasoned QB from it. Honestly with Darnold the Jets probably gave him one year too many. He just didn't have it.
-
I think Thomas Brown will change that. In usual Panthers fashion it's going to go either really well or really bad though.
-
99% of people here know Dalton is a steaming pile of poo as a starter. The want our #1 pick to make him look like a distant memory though. Bryce and company can start doing that next Sunday against the Texans and Stroud.
-
The reason people don't post PFF grade threads anymore is because it's immediately filled with complaints. There's no ulterior motives. Bryce had a much better game not surprised to see him with a higher PFF grade for the first time. Much of that is due to the first quarter though and he had many short passes per usual. Hopefully he and Thomas Brown will be working on getting some downfield plays next game.
-
That's even worse considering our scoring output. What's with this team? Death. Taxes. Inept Carolina Panthers offenses.

Mr. Tepper’s dream came true…. He made the Pat McAfee Show….
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Remember when people used to argue Tepper isn't a meddler? Now everyone knows. Good times. -
The defense has not been good but they've been on the field a hell of a lot and in three quarters of football Sunday the defense was the only reason we got in the end zone. That's embarrassing.
-
I think defensive coordinators respect Chark the problem is he's our sole speedster. But even if we had another our QB still would have to get him the ball. All they had to do is stop the run. Bryce had some solid completions but we can't stretch the field. There are some throws he's just not making that he's going to have to figure out in the coming weeks.
-
The struggling oline is the biggest factor right now. I think the talk of our weapons being terrible has reached a point where people are just repeating it without actually considering. Thielen is plenty capable even at his age Hurst is a solid TE and Tremble has potential. Chark I feel like is being crapped on because Bryce can't find him deep but he's had a fair level of success with two different teams previously. Mingo isn't ready and TMJ is just Dwayne Jarrett 2.0 at this point. But Chubba is looking pretty damn good and had a very solid first half. There's no excuse for our offense to have been shut out for 3 quarters though and part of that is the defense adjusting knowing we were absolutely no threat downfield. I don't think people are taking into account just how much of an impact this has as the game goes on.
