  1. Public desperation means higher asking price. And pretty much any receiver we could be looking at is going to be hesitant at best to play for this franchise. There's no in season fix here. We shouldn't be letting incompetent Scott Fitterer waste anymore resources.
  2. The oline has been an issue for 3 years now and should get Scott Fitterer fired. But Thielen and Chark are not as bad as some are constantly suggesting. The Commanders have given up the most sacks in the league at 34 yet they are middle of the league in YPA. We've only given up 19 sacks. The Falcons Broncos Saints Jets Titans Bears Giants and Commanders have all given up as many as us or more. Out of all of them only the Giants are tied with us in YPA because Daniel Jones. Not the company you want to be in after drafting a QB #1.
  3. We're third. Jaguars and Saints are ahead of us. Despite all those attempts we are 31st in the league in YPA. Brutal.
  4. I can agree there are subjects that have reached beaten dead horse status. But if you're referring to Bryce Young well unfortunately unless he pulls a full 180 and looks like a ROTY candidate that poor beaten horse isn't going anywhere. Looking good at home in the Texans game against the #2 pick could make a big difference in building some level of goodwill for the fans though.
  5. There's a fine line between steering conversation and dictating thoughts though. I could see the desire for this tactic if the team were doing okay and the discourse was still volatile. But this team hasn't been in the playoffs in going on 7 years. The last thing fans need is to be told how to deal with losing.
  6. I think we have different definitions of respectable. The Lions game is really all anyone has to hang their hat on last season. How about that Buc's game? Can we talk about the decision making in that one? Was Wilks coaching the team or no? Rhule was gone. He's a defensive minded head coach whose defense gave up 35 first half points. That's gotta be in the conversation of one of our worst halves of football in franchise history btw. Should we give Reich any sort of pass because he has some Rhule players left on the roster? I think you're getting some wires crossed. You're suggesting I'm getting swept up in outside factors when it's clear you've got some of your own tied up in Wilks. I think he's a fine man. But it's clear to me and remains clear to me we were choosing between the wrong choices because our owner got scared after getting embarrased by Matt Rhule. He went with what he perceived to be the "safe" route and this is what happens. Reich is trash. But that doesn't mean Wilks would be working any kind of magic here either. He already showed he was very Riveraesque in that Bucs loss that ended up being a fight for the division title. Reich is similar in he's stuck in his ways is slow to adapt and is bafflingly stubborn. We forced ourselves to choose between two different versions of a head coach we already fired. Ron Rivera. I've said really all I can about the subject. Good luck to you and yours trying to enjoy what's left of our season.
  7. The Hornets throw morals out the window for the sake of winning and they're still trash.
  8. I had a couple very nice movements this morning. Happy Friday everybody.
  9. Oof. It's been a rough season for fantasy. I've got Nacua and A.J. Brown to fall back on at least. I had Burrow but got fed up and dropped him a few weeks ago. My team is floundering anyways. Have fun!
  10. Good you can share in my misery.
  11. You're comparing two different sh*t piles by applying revisionist history. There's this or there's giving up 35 first half points to the Bengals with a defensive interim head coach. Losing is losing.
  12. I'm not trying to argue he wasn't a really good QB. Just saying the truth is his numbers do have to be looked at with a grain of salt so to speak after what we know of that era now. This article is a pretty solid summary of what I'm getting at. https://theshadowleague.com/brees-is-the-nfls-all-time-passing-leader-but-hes-not-the-goat/
  13. Brees won a title and from then on if we're being honest did a great deal of stat padding throughout the regular season for the next decade or so. Never went back to the SB. He's undoubtedly a hall of famer. But that's how I see it full picture.
  14. Obviously Fitterer must go. My fear is the unknown of how much our owner has been in Scott's ear for these drafts though. It might not matter all that much if we fire him.
  15. It's good to hear some positive thoughts from this and Aaron Rodgers. But at the end of the day it's just talk and opinion no different than anyone else. Nobody knows. Not the people in this thread skeptical and certainly not the people making the usual accusations about others rooting against the Panthers. This Texans game needs to be the one that answers some looming questions. I really hope we get that. It's needed. This franchise needs an injection of some kind of life. We'll see.
  16. For all his moves we are a worse team every season. Absurd incompetence.
  17. At this point Scott Fitterer better have one foot out the door already. His drafts are booooooty.
  18. I just don't understand the desire to add players who are disgruntled on teams that are not as bad as us to this volatile situation and thinking we aren't going to eventually end up in the same conundrum. Whether it's Adams Jeudy or whoever. If they're available it's for a reason.
  19. For one thing he's already 30. For another I have no idea why he would even consider or want to play here.
  20. It's amusing that folks want to go to the mat for Wilson. He definitely had some dynamic ability as a passer in his best days. But the man had a horseshoe up his ass most times. So many prayers thrown up and hauled in via acrobatic catches. The one Super Bowl win to his credit was against a Broncos team that was probably the worst I've ever seen in any modern SB. That was a laughably lopsided game from the first snap. The one where he actually had to win it on his own they lost trying to give him all the glory. One of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. Ultimately he was undoubtedly talented. But fairly overrated.
  21. How is this still going? We sucked under JR too just less and while kissing the league's ass at every opportunity even though they would sh*t on our head regularly.
