Go back and read this post again. You sound unhinged. So how are you above anyone else here exactly? Oh wow big clap. You spend your days calling out fans of a franchise with 7 winning seasons in 30 years. GO YOU! We all want the same result. But not everyone is required to polish a turd. People are allowed to call a product what it is when they see it on the field week in and week out. It sounds as if you just don't like reality. Well that's too bad. Good luck with that bud.

We traded up to draft him first overall most people don't want to hear excuses they want to see him show why he was the top pick. Just as much as you accuse others of whining crying and wallowing you sure don't mind staying up late pooing posts that hurt your feelings. You're welcome to try another community.

My friend dragging Cam Newton into the debate to soften the blow of Bryce Young having a bottom 3 passer rating isn’t the flex you think it is. Cam Newton did have talent like 89 and Olsen but he also elevated those around him and even Greg Olsen himself would tell you if it weren't for Newton his career would not have had the trajectory that it did. Hey maybe Bryce Young could do these things in time we just don't know. But I can tell you no amount of grasping at straws comparison wise is going to make Bryce physically able to make the elite throws even other rookies in his draft class are making. I'd love to see it. Hopefully we will. In the meantime let's take baby steps and stop trying to draw parallels to the only MVP in franchise history when the best thing we can say about Bryce Young is he can make some nice plays when the game is already out of reach.

Another cope thread

There's a world of a difference between an owner who is engaged and cares about winning and an owner who is an egomaniac and struggles to remove himself from the process. There's a reason David Tepper and Matt Rhule hit it off so well when they first met. Both are immensely ego driven and controlling.

PFF grades vs Lions (Bryce in bottom 5 yet again)
frankw replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well that's the franchise my guy. 7 winning seasons in just under three decades is consistent misery. -
You make some interesting points here. It's perfectly reasonable to wonder if the known limitations of Young are further bogging down the offense. The rabble about how Stroud and Richardson would look just as bad really comes off as a poor coping mechanism. We just don't know. But we can see how they are doing in their respective offenses and they can make all the throws. We can't say the same for Bryce yet.

PFF grades vs Lions (Bryce in bottom 5 yet again)
frankw replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Let's be honest if he were getting positive grades from PFF they would be getting posted in just about every thread about him. Every fanbase hates PFF when their team sucks. -
If you're more comfortable with passer rating he's 29th. Literally there is nowhere to go but up for Bryce Young as a passer. It's been that dreadful. There are of course circumstances beyond his control that are magnifying this but still the numbers are the numbers. I don't like what I'm seeing either.

It's ironic thinking that the reason the Panthers are in this mess is because even when they were bad the last few seasons they couldn't even lose right and because of a few wins for the "culture" we could never secure a top 3 pick so we had to pay dearly to move up. Suddenly now the Panthers can actually lose right and are likely backing their way into the top pick that we don't have. Almost makes you believe in a curse.

He isn't the problem but he still has the lowest QBR in the league so he is certainly a significant part of it. Our offense needs to play better when the game actually matters.

Panthers LAST in the NFL in win pct since Tepper purchased the team.
frankw replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
So basically we've been shoveling a mountain of sh*t since we kicked Cam Newton to the curb like he was a total bum. Sounds fitting. -
Condolences for your loss. Seems like dialogue here is too heavy for some. At the end of the day it is only words on a screen. And the state of the team since our new owner tookover has created what seems like a constant downward spiral. The discourse as a result has and will continue to be contentious at best at times. It sucks but that's the predicament and it isn't going to change relatively soon. If anything on his board has anyone here questioning what they're actually doing in life then I wish them the best of luck going forward and finding peace.

Wilks wanted to keep Holcomb on as DC I don't recall the names for OC but once you got past the hype around his local ties the vibe was Ron Rivera redux. He probably would have been better than Reich but there's some revisionist history being applied to make Wilks something he wasn't.

He's a bad GM. To even argue he isn't is ridiculous beyond words after some of the messes that Marty Hurney has overseen in years past. This gives those a run for their money if not actually being significantly worse considering what we have mortgaged and traded to get to this point.

It's an auto filter on the board. Fùck and Shìt are automatically changed to fug and poo. It's been that way for a long time. Probably not really needed anymore but people have gotten used to it.
-
Maybe we just need a subforum for everyone that wants to be sunshine and rainbows even if the team is in complete disarray.

There's no need for anyone to make things very personal beyond his abilities as a player and his performance on the field. I'll agree with that. But the kid does not need anyone throwing him a pity party. That's the last thing he needs. It might not be fair in the eyes of some but this has always been the weight of being a #1 pick. If anyone has moral concerns about this well you probably shouldn't be watching football anyways considering some of the fuged up players that have been allowed to remain in the league. Anyways the #2 pick has had the same weight put upon him and he was going to what was widely regarded as the worse situation to a franchise that's done nothing and has very little pieces to work with currently. He seems to be responding with a full package combination of leadership grit and determination that you would expect from someone picked there. We should and will expect the same from our #1 overall pick.

Nah he isn't in a hurry to come back because he was a Scott Fitterer apologist and that's blown up in his face upon the realization he is our worst general manager by far.

There are many things I like about Bryce. Both these guys are good human beings and have talent. I'm still going to watch and see how the rest of the season goes. But I can't delude myself and pretend we didn't look at the QB with the clear best arm talent available and say hey no thanks I'm good. That's going to take some more time than a month. Hopefully we get a real head coach in here next season. In the meantime this season the team is only sinking further. The locker room is only going to take so much of this too. Defensive players are already basically giving up. It's going to get uglier.
