That's actually pretty fuged up. Maybe this will be an incentive for the kid to get his head on straight and stop buying his own hype. But I doubt it. He's gotta close his inner circle up and get those guys pumping him up out of his ear.

We are definitely trending in a better direction than we had been and this draft feels like a breath of fresh air compared to what we've had. Still need to finish up strong here though. But for now I am pleased with Dan and Dave. As another noted Tilis also seems to be a helpful addition.

Yeah when I was watching the video I just heard freshman and him talking about high school too. Either way you're talking about a teenager. I imagine it was the first thing us and any other team that met with him asked about. I also saw some rumblings about off the field concerns in another thread and I have no idea where that came from. Just seems like there's some grasping going on especially considering there are prospects in this draft with assault allegations. This is the social media effect. At the end of the day some people will like the pick some won't. I'll trust Canales judgment as he was obviously a huge part of this selection and he will obviously be heavily involved in his development.

He has my sympathy for having to go to the Falcons.

You could be right maybe I misheard but still at 18 or 19 years old we can give him some grace. We've all needed to do a little growing in those years of early adulthood that's life. Just listening to his background and upbringing you can tell his Mom especially didn't raise a deadbeat by any means. We just have to give him a chance to prove himself.

Great interview. I like the kid a lot. Also I did not initially realize the game tape remarks were back when he was a freshman in high school. I assumed with all the angst surrounding that this was when he was at least in college. Of all the things to criticize him for this is getting ridiculous.

This is and always was a build for the next upcoming seasons not this season. We all knew the defense was going to take a couple of offseasons to get right. Just like the offense has taken a few years after we traded Moore to get a QB and reset. If your argument is you wanted defense that's fine but this does (regardless of how you feel about the prospect because of preconceived notions you've created about him personally which you've gone out of your way to tell us about) unequivocally change our offense for the better. I mean ffs we tried to acquire Metcalf and inquired about Higgins. Obviously we and the FO knew the WR room was not acceptable. We've got plenty of picks left and I definitely think we will walk away with a couple defensive studs tonight. Let's see what else they've got planned first and go from there. I'm still wait and see like I've always been.
