I agree the OL is poo and Mingo has not met expectations. Still need to see some life from Bryce despite all circumstances even if we lose. Have to give fans some semblance of hope.
-
That was a nice play from Bryce.
-
At least he's attempting those throws.
-
Stroud has undeniable arm talent. The cope is heavy in here.
-
Our secondary is booty but that's a throw you expect franchise QB's to make. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Mingo looking like TMJ oof

I mean at some point you look at both coaching and your players. This is a downgrade from a Teddy Bridgewater offense.

PFF: What's wrong with the Carolina Panthers offense?
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Enough circular arguing. Let's just agree we just need to see results today regardless of circumstances. It's time to swim or.......float. -
That's what 99% of us want to see. But if it goes the other way....

That guy might legitimately need a padded room it's best to just ignore him. Let's see if these boys have it in em' to get a dub at home today

Young's Stat Splits before the Texans Game
frankw replied to SaltAndPepper's topic in Carolina Panthers
Man the goal posts really have moved over these last several months. Back then we heard how what CJ did to Georgia didn't matter because he had a loaded roster and so many elite WR's. Now all we hear about is Bryce Young did this in college Bryce did that in college. If random fans on the internet can see it obviously defensive coordinators see it in film too. You don't get shut out for 3 whole quarters like we did against Miami without people talking. We need to unequivocally look better on offense beginning with Bryce. If there were ever a time and perfect opportunity for it that would be tomorrow at home. -
I will be thrilled if it happens. But the insecurity some folks here have over Stroud is embarrassing.
-
Absolutely. It looks even worse to know keeping Miles Bridges around with his heavy baggage was a significant factor in the trade. This is a franchise that has had either average mediocre or laughably poor center play for the better part of 2 decades now with Al Jefferson being one of the few bright spots. It'd be nice to potentially have a 1-2 punch under rookie contracts and clearly we could use some more physicality around the rim. But missteps like this are why Mitch wore out his welcome with the Lakers and why he will end things the same way here.

I'm big on Mark Williams. But trading Duren for a few dimes and nickels to draft the likes of Bryce McGowens when we could have both is some Scott Fitterer bullshit.

Both Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker starting this Sunday.
frankw replied to Rags's topic in Carolina Panthers
Obviously PJ Walker is not a starting caliber QB. But when you draft a guy #1 and trade a player and future picks you should expect that guy to be head and shoulders above the likes of PJ Walker. Like in another league better. Let's hope Bryce has a good game Sunday. We need something positive to discuss. -

Bryce Young actually has the lowest QBR in the league unfortunately. -

Bryce Young has a lower YPA than PJ Walker. I don't like it but that's what it is right now. Bryce can make a great deal of progress this weekend. I hope he does. -
I totally get supporting your guy but idk why people are still dying on this hill about Stroud having low football IQ like he's a numbskull running a basic one read offense. Like you can cope without living a total lie. The kid is clearly talented. Hopefully Bryce has the better day this weekend like he should as the #1 pick but you cannot deny CJ his due so far he's answered the call and then some.

I would fire Reich at 0-7
frankw replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
I get the rationale but it depends on how we lose. Best case scenario is we look much improved with Brown calling plays even if we go down swinging. If it's more of the same and things go really badly I'd ask all involved to leave the stadium and never come back. -
I don't doubt he wants his very good friend to play well and thinks highly of him. Privately though I have to imagine Stroud and his family are taking some level of comfort in the fact the Panthers have been a complete mess and he avoided that. He should be highly motivated entering this game. We should as well. We better not lay another egg. We need Bryce Young looking like a #1 pick.

Well let's be real that was a magic beans kind of sell anyways. Scott Fitterer continually thinks he's one the smartest GM's in the league when he's one of the worst specifically because of instances like this. Mingo has plenty of potential but he was never going to replace Moore immediately.
-
Love to see the recognition of his life. Now if the Panthers can honor his memory this weekend at home.

It's @Ivory Panther

Really impressive effort and game from Williams and Miller. And just like that the Hornets already have more wins than David Tepper's Panthers.
