  1. Not like we're going to look his way anyways unless the defense just forgets he's there like the one touchdown we had against the Colts.
  2. NFL or MLS. Instability is the continued theme. As the saying goes if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck. It's a duck.
  3. I don't disagree that this franchise is poorly run. But one could argue Bryce Young is doing a fine job on his own of ruining things.
  4. She probably got tired of polishing the turd that is the Carolina Panthers under the Tepper's on a weekly basis. Eventually it must get tiring typing up lies you don't actually even believe. Good for her.
  5. Isn't this the second one in three years? The Tepper's are amongst the worst in all of sports. It's comical that people have carried water for him and his wife.
  6. Clausen was bad all around. He's the worst we've seen over the last 20 years. No argument. The issue is Jimmy Clausen is the only QB we can look to in these last few decades that has a comparable distinct lack of big play ability as a passer. He simply lacked the physicality. We're asking the same questions about Bryce after a very steep investment. That's alarming. And while we point fingers in every direction to defend Young we have to ask ourselves just why this OL did not look this bad last season. It's mostly the same group. Eventually you have to wonder if the fact we are tailoring our offense to fit Young's strengths and hide his weaknesses are a significant detriment to the unit overall. I also think whether it's coaching scheme or Bryce our weapons are not as bad as people are making them out to be. Stroud just set the rookie single game passing record with a jag as his leading receiver.
  7. The recent thread about Clausen sent me looking at the numbers. Bryce Young so far through his rookie season has a 5.5 YPA compared to Jimmy's career YPA of 5.3. There's no way to spin that into a positive. For comparison sake doing a quick dive on our QB's the last several years. Teddy was 7.6 in 2020. Kyle Allen was 6.8 in 2019. Sam Darnold was 6.7 as a Panther. Baker Mayfield was 6.4 last year and PJ Walker was 6.9. It is wild to me that there are people suggesting those acknowledging things like this should quit being a Panthers fan. That takes a truly deranged level of coping.
  8. That's a dick move but I can at least begin to understand why. He knew he was done he tried to get what he could on his way out the door.
  9. Are you okay? You know he has a mom and dad already right? He doesn't need you to adopt him bud. I assure you Bryce Young certainly is. He's got about 37 million reasons at this point in time to keep chugging on regardless of how this is going good or bad. And sorry no one here is required to bow before you and your standards of only praise being allowed. I don't see anyone questioning his character his intelligence or his family history like was done with Stroud. His performance on the field has been assessed as it has with every QB before him. People want him to play better and look like the guy we expect for where we picked. 98% of the folks here will be thrilled to see it. Nobody except for a few trolls wants this team to be bad. But just as those trolls are hindering real dialogue you all or nothing superior fan types aren't helping either.
  10. Tua is who most thought he was. He can't win under the bright lights against the best. It's all embarrassing. Do you remember the Doug Flutie comparisons before the draft?
  11. The desperate attempts to compare Bryce to Tua remind me of when folks were comparing Darnold to Tannehill hoping we could replicate that. We see how that turned out for both teams.
  12. Yes let's compare our QB with a smaller build than Johnny Manziel to the physical specimen
  13. Cam Newton showed he belonged even in preseason then he put the league on notice his first two regular season starts. Please stop trying to link this pathetic excuse for a passing offense with the only MVP in franchise history because your feelings are hurt people are being critical of a first overall pick. Anywho let's get down to it. What's your definition of "playing well" for Young? Against Minnesota he had a 21.0 QBR. Against the Lions he scored one touchdown when the game was within reach. The Lions gave us whatever we wanted in the 4th quarter because the game was long over. Against the Dolphins Bryce showed a little early promise then proceeded to be stuck in timeout for 3 entire quarters and never saw the scoreboard again. And then there was the Texans game. Our regular season Super Bowl for some fans apparently. 15 whopping points. And 3 of those our kicker absolutely labored for to win the game. What a barn burner! Should we discuss the Colts game? Too soon?
  14. If you weren't saying this in defense of Teddy Bridgewater or Sam Darnold this just sounds like sour grapes bud.
  15. This place is cope city. Just read a post in the Bears thread blasting the coaching staff for not rolling Bryce Young out of the pocket more "like Mahomes". Well there's just a few key differences there but we don't want to burst anyone's bubble.
  16. But yeah this could be another blood and guts type loss for the Panthers. Too many elements at play to the Bears advantage and we just looked like asswater at home.
  17. How does any of this make a difference if Bryce Young isn't seeing the field adequately enough? How does one throw not one but two awful pick sixes to the same defender?
  18. This is incredibly vague. First of all what is your definition of struggling? Just turning the ball over making rookie mistakes while still scoring touchdowns has been fairly common with good to great quarterbacks in their rookie seasons. But simply looking like they don't physically belong at times? That's something different altogether. Not what you want to see from any first overall pick. Like I said in another thread. It's giving Johnny Football vibes.
  19. All homerism aside we are fitting our offense to Bryce Young's phsyical limitations and it shows. Howell is a young QB who has turned it over a lot but he doesn't have those same limitations and he has deep ball ability. I've said all along I'm giving Bryce until the end of the season to show me something but we can't change who he is physically so my gut says we traded up to 1 to draft a game manager type of QB at best. It's a rough time to be a Panthers fan. He's a young QB turnovers are going to happen. But he's still moving the ball downfield and scoring touchdowns. I could live with BY turning the ball over if he weren't still hovering around bottom of the league in key statistics. It's not good no matter who else you want to blame man. You're going to have to begin acknowledging reality. Good luck.
  20. The Commanders are as big of a dumpster fire as us they've given up 44 sacks compared to our 29 and still Howell is 4th in the league in passing yards per game and 7th in the league in touchdowns. Enough with the excuses.
