The only way that would make any level of sense is if Canales is just fully trying to put our third year #1 overall and pick and the passing offense in sink or swim scenarios early in the season. Because if you look back to the stat logs for that stretch of games where the offense looked "better" with Bryce. Chuba was more often than not the catalyst.

Jags scored 18.8 PPG last year we scored 20.1 Overall YPG they had 306.2 we had 298. The gap for that difference was in the passing game. While we ran the ball better than them they averaged 204.5 passing YPG while we averaged 187.5.

Wasted drives that go nowhere have been the story of this offense in the regular season more often than not for some time now. They could flip a switch and pull a 180 out of the gate. But I surely wouldn't bet anything of value on that.

The passage of time has clearly made for some hazy memories around here. And getting hung up on who is better is missing the point. You can get what 37 year old Dalton brings to the table (ugly turnovers) for considerably less than the 9th highest paid backup of 2025. The reality is the Panthers are simply paying players like Dalton based on personal feeling versus on the field merit. That's a bad way to do business and it's never worked for this franchise. And it's the way losing franchises operate.

Scott Fitterer was the worst GM in decades. What makes it even more insulting is at times over those years people here were practically ready to throw down if you questioned his expertise.

Is it really all that shocking one of the young Manning kids isn't living up to the immense hype associated with his name and family tree only? More of a sign of the times from my perspective. Newer generations aren't built the same. He's probably been told this and that about who he's supposed to be all his life. Maybe he'll clamp down and work on his fundamentals and become a better player for it or maybe mediocre or mid is just his ceiling regardless of who he is related to. Probably best to stop trying so hard to put kids like this on a pedestal.

They've actually tried to address the position. That's the bare minimum. Doesn't make them well ran or competent. Why anyone would perceive acknowledging that as carrying water for the Haslam's while at the same time pooing posts over criticism of our own ownership is probably a good sign someone has gone off the deep end.

The Browns are the Browns. We aren't really in a position to judge though to say the least. But trying to bash them for actually attempting to bring competition to the most consequential position on the field is certainly a take.
