Brock Purdy is making 53 million per season. Geno Smith is making more per season than Darnold. Rodgers wasn't going to sign there with a 10th overall pick breathing down his neck. All I'm saying is they had other options and 30 million a season for a starting QB is not that much anymore. Dak Prescott is the highest paid QB this year with 60 million. Furthermore. Even Daniel Jones went out and blew the doors off the Dolphins on Sunday. The Vikings have one of the two best WR's in the league. They just made a dumb decision.

McCarthy is very meh.

Lamar Jackson has the arm talent to put his WR in that position. People can argue his playoff record. But his physical talent can't be denied. At some point you guys just have to face the music that our QB has a mediocre arm at absolute best. Even routine throws are consistently 50/50 balls.

In the end zone already got right down the field like it's nbd. Guess some folks were celebrating his demise too early in that around the NFL thread.

A lot at stake for either team in this one. I'm curious to see how the Bears and Caleb Williams in particular respond to all the talk revolving around them recently. The Panthers fan in me wants them to flounder badly because fug them but even last year with that coaching staff they took us to the woodshed. We'll see.

The interesting thing I'm getting from this conversation and specifically from the people who are going out of their way to make excuses for him is they don't seem to notice the fact that their arguments and rationalizations basically insinuate everything has to go absolutely perfect in all phases at all times for Bryce Young to succeed in even basic football 101 scenarios. That isn't who we traded up for and that is not who we drafted first overall.

I'm with you brother. If we'll trade up into the second for an RB with a torn ACL we certainly have no issue with just tossing picks into the waste bin. Should have drafted a QB in the mid rounds. Inexcusable negligence from Dan Morgan.

Exactly. We hired an offensive minded head coach. Not an offense only head coach. If he is too timid to dictate what he wants to his entire staff coming off a season where his defense gave up historic points then he's already got one foot out the door.

Is it supposed to be better that this was during a key timeout considering this is the same game he threw a tantrum at the head coach and walked away to sit by himself?
