This isn't about one game this is about the entire body of work. His limitations as a passer in a passing league are plainly evident. Bryce Young barely has more passing yards in 23 games than undrafted Kyle Allen did in 13 games. You are no more objective on this matter than anyone else. Just as you were with Teddy Bridgewater. You spent most of camp trying to run off anyone critical of Bryce. Give the holier than thou a rest already.

Sir. I cannot say enough how absolutely comical it is that you can without even a shred of irony scold someone else for being biased in their perspective when your entire persona here is to be an attack dog toward anyone that isn't a complete Panthers homer 24/7. 9/10 posts here you basically sound like a deranged Mickey Rooney. But you keep on keeping on bud!

Lions are a good example but that's more on the rare side. They could have just as easily continued on a Browns level trajectory. It all depends on Canales. First order of business is getting these blowout losses off the menu. When those occur like the Bears and Commanders games that just resets everything as far as I'm concerned. And for anyone that doesn't believe me or thinks I'm exaggerating. Just remember we've been flailing as a franchise ever since that blowout loss to the Steelers in 2016. For now we just need to finish the season respectable like. Offseason needs to begin with a reset in leadership. Identify the QB that is going to lead your culture and build from there. No we are not a QB away from contending for a Super Bowl or something extreme like that but you still need that player to be the spark for your team more often than not. When you look at the consistent contenders that's what you'll always see. None of these Panthers players no matter how nice they are in public are getting warm and fuzzy over 126 yards passing. This league is about production.

I think it's important to be realistic about all this "winning for the culture" talk. Did we change the culture in 2019 with that brief Kyle Allen win streak? Did we change the culture in 2020 winning a few games with Bridgewater? Did we change the culture in 2021 with that 3 game win streak with Sam Darnold? Did we change the culture in 2022 winning meaningless games with Steve Wilks? Last I checked even after all that our culture fully bottomed out last year and the beginning of this year. Let's just maintain perspective that sustained winning is the only thing that is going to change this culture. One or two wins here and there against awful teams are good for a brief high but that's it. No more no less. What will truly start to change the tide is defeating really good teams. Until then. You can talk about culture all you want. We're still just spinning our wheels.

It's his thing to lash out at anyone that displays even the slightest bit of skepticism or refusal to follow the company line on the team. Then when you ask him if he's okay he'll turn around and try to make himself the victim and you the aggressor. It's best to just awkwardly laugh and move along.

@AceBoogie back to pooing posts on Bryce Young after creating not one but two threads declaring him a bust
-
Both Bryce Young and Caleb Williams finished their most recent game with what would be the lowest yards per pass attempt in the NFL. I'm fuging thrilled he and the Bears are a dumpster fire right now. But unfortunately on the bust scale Caleb is 1A to Bryce at 1B currently.

How useless is DJ Johnson when Wonnum who is only one year older than him and hasn't played football in months comes back and immediately gives the pass rush a jolt of life? What Morgan had to say about the pass rush back in July: "President of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan hit the lectern for a chat this afternoon. With training camp officially beginning on Wednesday, he was asked if he believes there are any answers to the myriad of questions about their unproven pass rush. “Yeah, I mean, DJ Johnson,” Morgan replied. “Drafted him last year. He’s a big, physical guy." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2024/07/23/panthers-training-camp-2024-dan-morgan-dj-johnson-eku-leota-klavon-chaisson/

Bryce Young needs to send Daniel Jones a fruit basket or something at least. That man singlehandedly improved his W-L record.

Let's just dispense with the company line about Andy's sprained thumb like he had it amputed and just acknowledge Bryce is starting because Andy stunk up the joint and Dan Morgan and Dave Canales wasted the offseason making zero attempt at bringing in another young QB that could remotely challenge anyone.

I generally agree that we need to build our culture up and tanking in general isn't a real applicable practice in the NFL. At the same time people who are mocking others for being concerned about our draft position will absolutely be one of the first to gripe about teams ahead of us they don't like getting the best prospects. It's much easier to say you don't give a poo in November. Come draft night in April anyone that's spent enough time around here knows what's gonna happen.
-
If Canales has any semblance of the concept of self preservation given that this is his first head coaching gig and we were the only team to interview him then he's already made up his mind on this QB room by now.
-
For right now with how young this team is and the situation with Center the fact that they are out there playing hard for one another and not just laying down is always going to be preferable to how things went the last few seasons seeing guys laughing on the sideline while getting blown out. I'll gladly take this improvement for the time being. Lee is already changing the culture we just have to give him time.

Idk about the rest of ya'll but I'm ready for the Chiefs game....

The production is the production we are not talking about a mid to late round pick. Most fans know what to expect the rest of the season. They just want to see new life and competition brought into the QB room in the offseason. Because the goal is not only to compete but to improve. And we can do neither of those with QB play that is statistically at the very bottom of the NFL. If you disagree with that then the issue isn't others. The issue is you.
-
Something most of us can actually agree on. Will it actually happen though? If the owner hasn't budged yet even after public pleas from players such as Shaq Thompson then don't hold your breath. It doesn't even seem like this is a cost issue at this point it seems like it's just Tepper being stubborn and petty. Call it for what it is.
-
Do you want to see one of our most important players who we just signed to a contract extension hurt trying to haul in an errant throw that was already well behind the line of scrimmage on third and long? If you think that's me looking for something to complain about then good luck with whatever fantasy world you're living in brother.
-
Man. Someone has gotta be so far down the rabbit hole they don't know which way is up to believe this to be true. Some of you are hopelessly delusional but you are certainly committed to the fantasy I'll give you that.
-
Of course there have been mitigating circumstances. It still doesn't erase or alter Bryce's overall body of work as a starting QB over 23 games and counting. He's starting the rest of the season we've got no choice in that regardless. I dont know what Canales sees for Bryce beyond the rest of this season. I certainly can speculate based on what I'm seeing with my own two eyes that he knows full well his offense is limited with Bryce. You do agree that is the case yes? As far as going forward. How he finishes the season is irrelevant to me. I like Bryce Young the person. That's not the issue. We still need to draft another young QB and add a new veteran to replace Dalton. We need new life in our QB room it has to be done for the good of the fanbase we've been through nearly two full seasons of largely awful to mediocre at best QB play. This is a sports franchise that runs on results not personal feelings or catering to one player. We have to do what is best for the team.
-
Everyone that has actually seen him play more than only this season has been waiting for the other shoe to drop.
-
Hey @Loyalty4Life go compare undrafted Kyle Allen's numbers in 13 games with the Panthers to Bryce Young's numbers in 23 games and come back here and tell us again how this place is ready to cut bait way too early. Either you work for the team or you're related to Bryce somehow.
-
The bar is so low it's comical. The yardage and touchdown output are downright pitiful. Look back to the brief hoopla over Kyle Allen. 13 games 3322 yards 17 touchdowns 16 interceptions 6.8 yards per attempt 62% completion Bryce Young in 23 games. 10 more games than Kyle Allen. 3571 yards 14 touchdowns 16 interceptions 5.5 yards per attempt 59.8 completion One of those guys was undrafted. The other was drafted first overall. Yet still there are people here who rage about how anyone speaking real facts about the limited offense with Bryce Young is an irrational hater rooting for him to fail. It is unfathomable that people can come to such conclusion if they are assessing the situation realistically. Enough is enough.

Oh come on. The entire leadup to the draft was near universal praise of and building up of Bryce Young because he played for Alabama while Stroud and other QB's were knocked for everything from their IQ to their leadership ability to their coachability and on and on. Bryce even showed up to the combine and refused to participate and still got a free pass. It's interesting you go out of your way to trash Dalton but prop up Young. You do know the one game he played last season and the win against the Raiders are 2 of only 3 times we've scored 30 points in 2 years right? Truth is both of them look like backups. Dalton is only marginally better because he's a vet and will attempt some of those throws Bryce won't pull the trigger on. Anything else you are trying to convince yourself of is fantasy.
