Yeah we discussed it at the time. It's just impossible right now to make any firm determination. We know Legette is a project but it's also to the point where now even TMac has begun to be relegated to scapegoat at times. I just don't see this situation lasting through the rest of the season without an eventual boil over. Sooner or later guys are going to air out their frustrations.

Dave Canales constantly deflecting for poor to horrific QB play is like nails on a chalk board at this point. We need to begin addressing the issues head on instead of our head coach constantly trying to be the constructive dad like Ned Flanders. This nonsense is not going to change the culture of the team for the better. The only inevitable outcome is other players are going to eventually just check out and start making business decisions. Embrace accountability and if need be when the time comes which is now that you have a QB who is FORTY games deep and is abundantly clearly the problem then identify it and stop making lame ass excuses. No. More. Coddling.

XL has without a doubt had his share of bad moments. But you cannot understate how awful many of these passes are and even the ones that have been better have often been poorly placed. Throws to the sideline and throws to the back of the end zone are basically off the table as passes just sail over the receivers head. Defenses have all of this on tape. It makes their job easier. Until we get an adequate passer in here who can open the entire field we cannot fully evaluate the moving parts of this offense.

They are unfortunately all too comparable. It is what it is.

You can fire him. You could justify it too. But odds are highly likely we won't find anyone any much if at all better or less of a yes man as his replacement. In fact that is going to be the entire coaching candidate pool.

The WR room has question marks but we really need to see this group with better QB play.

I would like to be able to say I have the confidence that our decision makers enact and carry out such a plan going forward. I need to see it to believe it at this point after three straight years of coddling the smallest starting QB in the NFL.

It's pretty fưcking bad when Scott Fitterer did infinitely more to bring in legitimate competition into the QB room than Dan Morgan has done in nearly two full years.

Bryce Young did in fact ask for this. He purposely hid out in a hoodie at the NFL combine knowing it would preserve his draft stock. While it was his prerogative to do so he is not a victim in any capacity. With LaMelo he can actually play basketball quite well. Unfortunately he is still immature and cannot stay healthy as his ankles in particular are about done for. And there is also the fact of the matter that honestly the Hornets may just be a cursed franchise even moreso than the Panthers.

The only thing we need to "flush" is this abysmal QB room. Bryce Young and Andy Dalton are just here stealing money like Matt Rhule.

Legitimately everyone in our front office should be completely embarrassed in the effort that has been made to improve the QB room the last two years. Shameful.

Jaycee Horn is talented and I appreciate what he brings to the locker room but he is not worth top 3 corner money. It is what it is.

We picked a inopportune time to need a QB with so many bad teams jostling for the top draft slots this year. But it's probably for the best. We just need to let the chips fall where they may and get our guy.

If Canales goes so be it. The issue is getting a better candidate let alone a top candidate to want to coach here under the meddling Tepper's.

At least he's willing to admit what is plainly obvious even if it has taken awhile. There are others who have been just as if not more outspoken who have sought to blame anyone and everyone for Bryce Young's shortcomings that will probably never take that step. They just can't or won't mentally grapple with it and will go down with the ship. I can't imagine being that invested in an athlete who isn't even good at his job. Oof.

We had a couple wins where Rico Dowdle had absurd rushing yardage which most logical coherent observers regarded as fantastic but wholly unsustainable and that aspect has cooled down and leveled back out as expected and we still have no passing game. Things could be more ideal with the young players on this roster but there were plays to be made on offense today. Nothing has changed with Bryce Young as a passer in his third season. And he has shown up to camp as a professional athlete with $39 million guaranteed three years in a row looking exactly the same like he wants absolutely no part of picking up any weights of any kind. He is not an NFL starting QB. Turn the page. The last thing we need to do is tie up even more assets in this enormous miss.
