  1. It's tough to say he is or isn't a "difference maker" without an OL or a quarterback who can consistently threaten downfield. Those two factors make not only Moore's job more difficult but also makes life much easier for opposing defenses. You can replace the wide receiver under those conditions but the results will remain. I'm not above trading anyone on this roster as of this moment. But for a franchise that has seen massive investments in defense and a meh approach to offense more often than not over the years result in 7 winning seasons and no back to back winning seasons you're gonna have to forgive me if I'm hesitant to jump for joy at selling off offensive assets after what we've invested in defense. The league is changing and we need to finally switch gears ourselves. I want to build a good offense and finally try another way and if that means a very good defensive player is traded so be it.
  2. Bills and Bengals fans deserve this it's been a long road I hope they make a run and reset the power structure. Panthers fans better hope they get the right decision makers in front and stop trying to Stan dudes responsible for 5 win seasons or we could be the next longest running drought.
  3. I'm iffy on anyone currently making decisions or having input in this front office. Wheeling and dealing got us into this mess. We got trade happy and didn't even come away with a for sure starter at what was our biggest area of need at the time and still is. Idk why folks are still forming a line to give Scott Fitterer sloppy toppy but he has just as much to prove as Rhule.
  4. Don't kid yourself guys like Jefferson and Chase are going to get historical contracts. Nothing is guaranteed with this team. For years we were looking for a compliment to our best receiver in history and from there we lost a super bowl with the likes of Jerricho Cotchery and Ted Ginn.
  5. Getting a first for Moore sounds great in theory until you get to the part that you have to draft a stud with that pick and you also need another talented receiver to step in with limited resources. Add in the fact we have been searching for an 89 replacement for the better part of a decade. This franchise has been all in on defense for so many years yet people still don't understand what they are seeing. The 2015 team couldn't overcome a struggling offense despite all the investments in defense. And the 2021 Panthers was a shitshow despite an entire draft and back to back firsts on defense. Yet folks think addition by subtraction on one of the league's worst offenses is our way out of the woods. It's hilarious.
  6. The worst OL lineups in history say hello
  7. We went out of our way to stockpile corners and we were still the worst team in our division.
  8. Your attempts at insults are adorable. Bless your heart. Anywho yeah we know the oline needs to be addressed. That surely could have already been in progress if not for the bumbling of Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer. But our awful passing didn't help matters and when your quarterback is fumbling and throwing interceptions and generally just playing terrible that only further helps defenses especially when they know said QB has very little deep pass accuracy to speak of. Neither of the top two quarterbacks from 2021 are the answer in that regard. This really isn't that difficult but we can help you if need be.
  9. You were on record loving the Darnold trade so ofc you are going to go to bat for him. That's sweet. He's still a bust and we need to draft our own QB this year or next regardless of Cam or PJ.
  10. You believe that was the #2 defense? We got gashed up and down the field. Even by the Giants and the Dolphins. Keep dreaming I guess.
  11. Horn eventually would have taken his lumps in the second half of the season just like the rest of our corners with our offense failing to sustain so many drives. The offense desperately needs an infusion of talent and if 2021 didn't confirm that for you then nothing will.
  12. Imagine making it through the 2021 Panthers season and your first order of business being keeping receipts to stick it to those unhappy fans instead of keeping track of the laundry list of terrible decisions by Rhule and Co. These are the same types that worshipped Dave Gettleman.
  13. It isn't just Panthers fans giving him the side eye this morning. The team is doing a damn good job of making a mockery of itself without us.
  14. If anyone is still enthusiastically buying what Rhule is selling without question after what he said about Slater this morning they are either insane or just looking for attention.
  15. Yet we are still inferior to the league's worst teams like the Jaguars Jets and Lions. We're even worse than the Falcons.
  16. Been saying this since the Rivera days. Then the first thing we did after he left and Rhule took over was dedicate an entire draft to defense
  17. It's been noticeable. Not exactly a wise business model. It certainly hasn't had an impact on the team performing much better if anyone has actually been bothered by it though if the continued blowout losses were any indication. Even teams like the Jaguars and Lions were still fighting at the end of their season.
  18. Right it's almost like smart teams value the trenches over stockpiling corners.
  19. Well then it's odd you're connected at the hip with old timers venting about athletes (gasp) having fun in a football game. I wish this atrocious team had anything worth celebrating again. But some folks are okay with their team being a doormat if they don't have to see an athlete that makes them feel uncomfortable anymore.
  20. Why do you care so much about Cam Newton? If I spent any amount of time on a Falcons board complaining about Matt Ryan I would seek therapy.
  21. Yeah one time the majority of the hits to the head were within the pocket he was headhunted in the Super Bowl and the 2016 season opener and that was truly the beginning of the end because teams knew the refs would let it slide. There are less than a handful of "Cam heads" here the majority like myself are very much aware of where he now stands as a starting quarterback. I had already long accepted what was and anticipated retirement for him. We wouldn't even be talking about this again if Matt Rhule hadn't fell flat on his face in attempting to locate his own starting quarterback. Your little shtick may get pie from Falcons fans but most people think you are a dinosaur still parroting the same tired old man takes about showboating.
  22. If you're going to troll at least get your facts right. Any hits to the head were within the pocket because our oline was a mess more often than not and now not only is it not any better it's somehow worse with different decision makers.
  23. For him to make those remarks about Slater after we fielded some of the worst OL lineups in history is simply unforgivable.
  24. Some people just wanted something to feel slightly positive about and others were just blind. I figured with his arm he had to be a marginal improvement over Teddy Checkdown but then we got a look at the Sam Darnold turnover machine Jets fans had become very familiar with. All along my preference was the draft to address the position. If there is any silver lining with this it's the fact that fans are no longer buying into this snake oil salesman routine by Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer. They got the red carpet treatment early on which I cautioned against now the knives are out in every direction.
