  1. Someone said something negative about Mr. Tepper. Open the flood gates let's see who can be the most loyal sycophant and polish his knob the fastest. Annnnnnd gooooo!
  2. Bamboozled by a rando on Twitter.
  3. QB is the most sought after position now. Corral Ridder and Willis and their respective agents all know they play for teams where the starting QB position is either unsettled or shaky. I don't blame them one bit for getting all the guaranteed money they can.
  4. Society and intellectual thought in general is in a downward spiral regardless of whatever shenanigans about sports we might be discussing at any given moment. I personally wouldn't boo my own team I would just get up and leave but if someone else does I don't think it's an unspeakable thing to endure. There are soccer players who get bananas thrown at them in other countries now that is disgusting and indefensible. But we don't have to agree on the boos it's fine I just hope the offense performs better. Winning cures all as the saying goes.
  5. If Cam Newton had been the same level of consensus bust and terrible starter as Sam Darnold by his fifth year no way in hell any Panthers fan would be showing up to grovel about how well he handled himself. I see the clear difference in perception and I'll leave it at that.
  6. Nobody said you are weak minded. I am sorry we cannot agree that it is worth complimenting him for handling being the worst starting quarterback of the last several years because he does so quietly and without complaint. After the conclusion of the upcoming season he will have made almost 50 million in career earnings after five years. He's set for life. We don't need to pat him on the back and rub his tummy.
  7. At the time Sam and Robbie combined were sitting on 40 million dollars in guaranteed money. I think plenty of people here in these financial times would welcome boos for that much money.
  8. Cliche he says after caping for two of the worst quarterbacks in the league the last two years.
  9. Luke is the definitive nice guy. But the difference is he loved football and he flipped a switch on gamedays. He was a dog off a leash on the football field. Mills was a stout competitor out there as well despite his off field personality. Sam Darnold has the physical talent he just doesn't seem like he loves football. That's okay. But that is not going to make this football team one worth watching. I hope he finds happiness in whatever path he chooses next. He will have a very good chunk of change to rest up on and invest how he chooses. I'm hoping Baker can be the guy for us but I'm not falling head over heels for anyone until I see sustained success. He has the potential to be what we need though. It all depends on what he has learned through the mess with the Browns and applies that in the future here.
  10. Nice guy no doubt. Looks like he's already been hitting a couple buffets here and there. I don't blame him. Just feels awkward how eager some people are to be complimentary for him taking 19 million dollars and keeping his head down. We had folks losing their minds over a QB wearing a scarf and though he had ups and downs until the arm fell off he was still a top 15 QB any given Sunday. I don't think the Wine and Cheesers are going to be very fond of Baker he has that cocky mentality in him. But that's what we need. We don't need a team of nice guys. That's why we've been trading places with the Falcons for last place in our division the last few seasons.
  11. Baker Mayfield is a former first overall pick he's still young and he just went for a fifth. I have to think if there were teams looking we would have already heard rumblings about possible trades for Robbie. Other teams see him on social media the same as us fans. If he has a productive season again there could be a move provided Marshall Jr makes strides. But it's going to take a Baker Mayfield resurgence to restore Anderson’s value in the league. Well that and deleting his Twitter app.
  12. We get it you made it your mission to defend Teddy Bridgewater then Sam Darnold too. That's your choice. But it was very painfully obvious leadership was lacking big time when Sam was the starter. He simply could not lead when things got remotely challenging. Can Baker? We'll see. But so far just stuff like this is night and day. Sam is a nice friendly guy but he simply does not have the disposition necessary to be a hard nosed franchise QB in a league full of elite talent.
  13. It's related information during a slow time period before training camp officially starts. There are worse threads going right now.
  14. You just described most of current social media including yourself. Trolling is one thing but he talks to himself on Twitter I don't think it's just an act. He probably needs some real help.
  15. Well even if you get your wish the East side would just look like other parts of Charlotte that are over developed with new expensive housing and condos that are priced out for many of the people who already live in the area. Charlotte isnt the city it used to be and simple greed is the reason.
  16. I very much enjoyed Eastland in the 90's. Great memories there. If you want a discussion about the city and how the surrounding area has been neglected over the years I'll listen and we likely won't disagree one iota about who is to blame for that. But this thread is about the Carolina Panthers owner and so far as a local business man failure is all he is known for. Jerry Richardon was raked over the coals frequently over the years for different reasons and usually rightfully so. If criticism of billionaires bothers some people so much they should take it to Twitter with the rest of the folks who worship the ultra wealthy daily.
  17. Bayless is a buffoon who shouldn't be paid a nickel for the idiocy he spouts on a daily basis. They need to retire that dinosaur.
  18. You'll never make sense of it. These are the same kind of people who fan girl over guys like Elon Musk.
  19. He isn't going back until August 20th so we get another whole month of embarrassing silence from our local professional basketball team
  20. Took less than 5 minutes for Tepper's personal shoe shine crew to waltz in here and make excuses. Always good for a laugh.
  21. With their continued "no comment" responses it certainly looks that way. I hope the Panthers can get their act together this fall because the pro basketball team isn't one worth watching if beating the hell out of your wife and kid isn't an issue worth taking an official stance on from the get go.
  22. Just awful. The silence from the team is a bad look no matter how you might want to look at this with teal or purple shades. They should have already cut ties officially.
  23. Glad Shaq spoke out against this. That's the kind of leadership we need. Waiting for the inevitable thread where we rehash the grass vs turf arguments for another 20 pages.
