Another pick from last years class bites the dust. Looking like some Hurneyesque picks in the mix.
-
In fairness we have had the misfortune of witnessing Marty Hurney navigate mid to late round picks for many years and to say the least not many people were keen to be using this excuse.
-
We really need Christensen to become a linchpin. If he doesn't take the next step that's nothing to show for on the OL in the draft in a season where we were 31st in the league. For all the criticism of Ron Rivera over the oline the fanbase would go nuclear if it were him bumbling his way through building a lineup like this and squandering picks on long snappers.
-
You're going on and on and on about haters and hindsight like it's everyone else who is biased and already has their mind made up while you are completely objective and not at all just bulldozing over any valid criticism bc you want this place to be a pro Rhule echo chamber. Sorry pal that's not how life works. He was handed the keys to the franchise from the get go and made a statement with his first big move in sending Cam Newton packing. Since then he's been on the clock like any other head coach before him. Now I would be thrilled if he goes on to turn this franchise around and we become legit contenders. But I don't have to entertain false notions in the meantime as if he has made no mistakes along the way. We'll see how this season shakes out.

Oh come on there were olinemen to be had in the draft. We took a WR who we can't even get to stay on the field and then we paid RA 30 million dollars and we took a long snapper we cut a year later instead of more OL depth. That's two right there that could help in solidifying our oline. Let's also not forget the fact that Fitterer and Rhule went out and signed two of the worst olinemen to overpay contracts on the first day of free agency last year. It was not an ideal situation to try and fix in a short time period granted but again the way we have gone about it has not been necessarily helpful either and some realistic criticism has been warranted.

Please post all your RHULE SUCKS posts here..HATE THREAD

Yeah that's what I worry about as well then we are stuck with just mediocre all over again which is why we moved on from Ron. But tbh the Rhule hype from some folks just doesn't make any sense. It's like Chip Kelly without the wins or playoffs or really any success early on. But folks keep going to bat for these results like he's their dad lol. -

I'm responding to your response to his silly claim lol. The pro Rhule crowd have gone off the deep end as much as anyone else. Winning will erase most if not all of this mud slinging. -

That’s just foolishness. Less than 1% of the fanbase would actually be upset if we start winning and kicking ass in the division. Some people will say anything to try to be different. -
*signs Teddy Bridgewater to a 63 million dollar contract only to trade him one year later because he criticized the staff for incompetence* *trades three picks for Sam Darnold and guarantees him almost 19 million dollars to be a backup* *after refusing to draft a QB the first two years they finally take one only to give XFL legend PJ Walker more reps* Rebuild eh?
-
Of course there were holes but the way we went about it didn't always help. Rhule's first draft was all defense and by his 2nd year he fielded the 2nd worst oline in all of the NFL. Here we are in year 3 and our backup OL has sent two QB's to IR in preseason. This is an offensive league at the end of the day and teams go as far as they are willing to invest in the trenches. Let's hope Baker can stay upright it's going to be a long season.

Bigly Walterfootball Power Rankings drop
frankw replied to janderson20vt's topic in Carolina Panthers
31st ranked oline last year two QB's already injured this year behind our "depth" yet still some fans haven't learned. It's fascinating really. -
"BUT HE'S A REALLY GOOD RB" Yet I've seen this offense fall right back on their ass more times than I can count with McCaffrey running the ball in the redzone. The 4th down plays in particular stick out. Has the OL been bad? Sure. But the fact some homers just don't want to grapple with is CMC is not built to be an every down back and he is not built to carry the offense on his own. We need a bruiser.

So the Ron Rivera blueprint. Genius.

More are starting to believe in the Panthers
frankw replied to Panthers Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'll begin to believe it when we are the ones outcoaching teams instead of the other way around. Until then we go as far as Rhule can muster on gamedays. -
Are you this lonely on a Friday bub? It's been established that after 25 years old many RB's begin to break down physically and get bogged down with nagging injuries. There have been some notable exceptions but most of them are from previous eras. You get so angry when presented with the realities of the very real trends related to the running back position the last several years. Yeah I hope McCaffrey miraculously goes on to never miss a game for the next 5 seasons and has a hall of fame career and a Super Bowl MVP with us. But I also want to hit the Powerball so the odds of both are about the same.

You're the one offering up walls of text to stick your neck out for a billionaire who will never see or acknowledge your attempts at defending his honor. But I'm triggered? We both know what you're really about anyways BB and this is 100% on brand for you.

Does anyone else think we could win the South?
frankw replied to Stuart Smith's topic in Carolina Panthers
Absolutely given the changes in our division. But our head coach will have to pull a 180 and become much more efficient in gameday situations and at making adjustments in general. -
From Utah to Cleveland...

Yes the billionaire who has made bad decision after bad decision is the real victim here and Roaring Riot is the enemy. Brooklyn Bully sucking off Tepper is one of the least surprising things I've ever read here.

I understand it's easier to cope with one of the worst trades in recent memory by acting as if Fitterer was an errand boy but he was definitely very involved in the process. By the time the Baker trade went down very few teams were interested and Cleveland had lost significant leverage. It also helped we learned a few things from the fallout of the Darnold acquisition.
-
TBD and that is being generous after the Darnold trade which is one of the worst in many years for any team. If Scott is the evaluator some here claim him to be he should have been talking Rhule out of that trade until he was out of breath. To field such an abysmal OL on top of that would get many front office executives led to the nearest exit. We need to see some big time results out of the roster this season. There really is no excuse not to with how the division is shaping up. We have a window open now. Time to capitalize.
