Well those people were high on hopium. We are building a nice offensive line but it's still a work in progress and Ben McAdoo is still our OC. I think long term we'll be fine plenty of other teams are able to establish what would be reasonably formidable run games via two backs. But the first order of business is identifying the QB of course.

We weren't winning much with him or without him. Might as well have gotten more picks in the process.

I have said that D'onta Foreman is a better running back than Christian McCaffrey? Link the post bud.

Might as well. This is not a playoff team. If we're that scared just put in Eason and roll with the good and the bad.
-
Who in the world said that?
-
We still talking playoffs?

Whew buddy this offense is uuuugly. Walker one completion for -1 yard.

Interception. Punt. Panthers football lol.

Chuba inactive? Who's the next RB up after Foreman?

Game 6 - Golden State Warriors (3-2) @ Charlotte Hornets (2-3) - 7PM
frankw replied to MechaZain's topic in Charlotte Hornets
What a rollercoaster team. But I'll take the win and finally one in OT. Oh and fug the Warriors. -
No. I do not know his ceiling though he is only 24 years old. I was referring to this notion that just because we have an extra pick or two that means we not only won't miss but we will get a generational talent who will develop faster than other pass rushers. This same logic has been applied to the reasoning behind trading DJ Moore because we will draft another wide receiver and hit again. It's like people here haven't watched this franchise whiff on draft picks on a regular basis. If you're a Panthers fan you know nothing is a given with our drafts. We have talent in place get the right QB and the right coach and go from there.

These Brian Burns trade discussions are getting exhausting. Only in fantasy land or on the huddle do you get two first round picks and then use those to immediately hit on two stud rookies one of which becomes an all pro pass rusher overnight. It's time for some of ya'll to wake up from your daydream.

How would you guys feel about keeping Darnold as a long term backup
frankw replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
You can definitely tell it's been awhile since folks have actually had to watch Sam Darnold attempt to play QB. He sucks even as a backup. Move on be done with it. Enough with these scenarios. -
Game 5 - Charlotte Hornets (2-2) @ Orlando Magic (0-5) - 7PM

Got our asses kicked by the 0-5 rebuilding Orlando Magic. It's Hornets basketball baby! -
REPORT: Panthers highly unlikely to trade DJ Moore
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed. And the Giants just traded a first round WR who is all the things Panthers fans would have eviscerated DJ Moore for being. We could do so much worse. And for the sake of clarity take a look at the all time Panthers receiving list and tell me we are in position to jettison a talented receiver and we will just back ourselves into another one because we're that lucky. -
There was one but that account is no longer a part of this community.

Literal tanking isn't helpful but winning 3 or 4 or 5 extra games that didn't even matter in the grand scheme of things is why we have been relegated to throwing poo at the wall status. For example ask yourself if you would have happily traded that win streak with baby goat Kyle Allen for the rights to draft Justin Herbert.

There's something familiar about you. What are your thoughts on gematria?

Even when he gets back out there from this we'll just be holding our breath again.
-
If he was looking for an olive branch he probably shouldn't have trashed former Panther greats like Jonathan Stewart on the way out the door while pocketing a cool 30 mill.

Players hoping to help Wilks win the full time job
frankw replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is quite the buildup after only one game. If the Panthers have truly turned the corner I expect them to make quick work of the messy Falcons.
