Rams Offering Two (Future) Firsts for Burns
frankw replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fug the Rams and Von Miller. Not in favor of anything that helps them. -
Well he's certainly done more with less than your favorite wide receiver who now plays for the Cardinals. What was his stat line again?
-
Well now I guess I see what this is really about. Sour grapes. Sorry he isn't Christian McCaffrey and we don't have him out there throwing passes because we're trying to inflate his stats.
-
We had our first 30 point game in a year thanks to those splash plays from Moore. Newsflash those kinds of plays are the bread and butter of current NFL offenses if we want to be relevant and compete with playoff teams that's what we're looking for. At this point I think you're trolling because these are some sketchy hot takes. Cheers.
-
Huh. Who are these "better receivers" you speak of?
-
He just needed some time to settle in. Very relieved we've at least got LT figured out. Now get someone who can evaluate quarterbacks please.
-
With the right QB and coach combo DJ goes from good to elite and he's only 25. It still isn't quite that easy though man. It's why you see teams taking fliers on trades for talented but flawed young receivers hoping for that big payoff. Fitterer still has plenty to prove as a talent evaluator. Removing Rhule from the equation was obviously a big boost. We'll see how it shakes out.

The liquor must've been doing the thinking huh?
-
You're being awful hopeful there my guy. Could we draft another good WR? Of course. Will it work out perfectly in our favor? Not likely. Do we need to go on back down the line and name all the receivers we've drafted and argued about who have added up to not much? Sure our luck is due for change. But I definitely wouldn't just assume oh yeah we're gonna draft the next elite receiver because we are looking. Just my outlook after many years of following this team.

Are We Really Not Going To Talk About This?!

Gerry Green had his facts wrong? -
All I said was there is a small group of people who are clearly irrationally infatuated with him and there seems to be a connection between the fact he is the only player of his shade playing the position the way he has. And the more someone like Catsfan69 loses his mind over all this the more it is confirmed to me. That flagfootball guy just came right out and said it and Catsfan69 pie'd the post so I mean seems pretty cut and dry to me. I wished McCaffrey well when he was traded. It's the superfans who have lashed out about all this it's not like we traded a franchise quarterback here. It's time to move on!
-
Who replaces him? He's already a temporary kicker for another one. If we stop committing dumb ass turnovers and we won't need him to ice a win.
-
Greg Olsen? He was trashed here fairly consistently the last couple years as an overpaid whiner who cried to Jerry Richardson to get his way.
-
Anticipating another 30-40 first half passing yards followed by an explosion by the 4th quarter. Hopefully this time no touchdowns thrown to the other team.

The Sun Belt Conference

In my initial responses I was not going back 50 some odd years looking at every quarterback to ever throw a pass. The league has changed so much in just the last 10-20 years why do we need to go back to the 80's 70's and 60's to gain an understanding that our QB room is not good? I chuckle at how eager you are to join in on this conversation and stand behind other posters shouting about your beef with me from however long ago. You're amusing I'll give you that.
-
Well one was a franchise quarterback and former most valuable player the other is a running back. We've also been recycling quarterbacks at rapid pace since he last played well for us so do I really need to further explain to you the difference?
-
Furthermore Peyton Manning can get fuged. He was throwing ducks all game long in Super Bowl 50 if not for the league allowing Newton to be headhunted and Von Miller he would be a one time champion. I'll never forget that Super Bowl against the Seahawks. Easiest Super Bowl win possibly ever for Seattle. Must be nice.
-
This conversation is just veering right off a cliff comparing an NFL backup and XFL star to hall of fame quarterbacks.
-
Why are we even talking about hall of famers right now though? We have three of the statisical worst starting QB's in the league on our roster and yeah PJ Walker is one of them and all of them throw some of the worst picks you'll see. The cope in here is so strong. Hey I get it I hate we suck too. But let's raise the bar my goodness.
-
You stay waiting to jump in any discussion I'm in trying to score points. It's flattering but I feel bad for you that you're this invested in it. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings so badly in a previous discussion. One day I hope you'll be able to recover psychologically
-
One outlier sure. Generally the QB's throwing the most pick six throws are not going to be perennially contenders I think we can agree on that yes?
-
Corral turning into a franchise QB at this point is a longshot. I was high on hopium too when we made that pick but we're drafting another signal caller it is what it is.
-
The current pick six leader on the year is Andy Dalton. All three of our veteran quarterbacks have thrown them too. Maybe not good company there. Besides the truth is in the numbers. 29.6 QBR for Walker and 75.5 for Mariota who many here have said is washed and nothing special.
