Oh come on. It's not about saving the season. It's about giving your locker room anything whatsoever to build on. There is absolutely nothing to build on from week in and week out by seeing how historically lower you can go in the passing stat sheet.
-
Tanking is a fan concept. It does not work in NFL locker rooms where there are 50+ players whose careers are hanging in the balance. Just being associated with this historically bad nightmare is tarnishing when you look bad as well by proximity. Yes theoretically you can get the first pick this way but do any of you ever want to establish a real culture here again? Incinerating your locker room for the first pick isn't the cut and dry win some of you think it is. Plus at the end of the day. Scott Fitterer's former best friend will be making the pick with Mr. Tepper leaning over his shoulder.

You...me...same. I just hoped for the best and tried to support the pick. Now? Pain.......

To everyone talking about the jump passes. Remember the condescending "size bros" moniker? Fun times.

Ready for these post-game interviews. Should be more entertaining than the game

Unfortunately.

Guys have their own careers on the line with this mess. People thinking just keep playing Bryce are nuts.
-
Oh of course. I was just curious if you were saying someone with the team mentioned that recently. But I think everything is tarnished by the fact Tepper won't stay out. And the on top of all this he and the people he hires are all delusional as hell instead of trying to be realistic. It's always been we are this player away or that player away from being competitive. We don't even know what the definition of a rebuild is. Or how to identify or develop talent. The perfect storm of utter incompetence.
-
Did someone with the team suggest this lol?
-
That and leadership and his supposed improvisational ability (heard the word magician frequently) to buy himself time in the pocket to make plays were the top 3 selling points. Meanwhile the other end of the narrative was ignore his size. Size doesn't matter. About that...
-
Souring on Canales. At this point I'm beginning to think both the GM and head coaching hires are more of the same of just flat out Tepper cronyism. Hired because they will do what he tells them. We are done until he sells the team. All there is to it.
-
Fans should boo this trash. Where's Tepper hiding out at? Boo his ass too.
-
End it already.

This season isn't about winning. We are going nowhere. But in the meantime you have to try to develop what you have and get an idea who is or isn't worth keeping around. After what we've just been through honestly I don't even care if we get the first pick or not. Top 5 is fine. Maybe that will take some of the pressure off any QB we take idk.

We have 2 passing yards now lol Look I get the sentiment but tanking is a fan concept. The pathetic culture of this team is never going to change if we keep trotting this out there. Need to give the locker room and the fanbase some kind any kind of life out there.
-
4 passing yards? Just put in Dalton and see if the young players on this offense develop into anything.

Let's see if my Panthers find new ways to embarrass us at home today or if they actually look like they want to win a football game.

Prime Cam plugged into this roster what happens?

Kasay* You're comparing very different plays that happened at different points in each game. One could argue the Kasay play had a direct impact on the final outcome. But even then I would still say it's not necessarily the deciding factor. Why? Because the Patriots as we know now were cheating by filming opponents walk-throughs. Panthers players after the fact talked about how it was like they always knew what was coming. And we still should've beaten them despite that. But hey keep being bitter at one of only a few players in Panthers history that actually gave a damn about making this poverty franchise relevant. As always. Nice username. That shoe definitely fits! -

Anyone that acts as if Super Bowl 50 came down to one singular play is just being a disingenuous fool. The entire team was in a funk. They lost focus. That includes Cam Newton. Our head coach being stubborn didn't help matters either. We lost that Super Bowl as a team from top to bottom. Although I will point out coincidentally Kony Ealy of all people seemed to be the most fired up about trying to change the course of that game late. That pretty damn well sums it up. -
He hired Hurney not once but twice. And for all the talk of our culture. Honestly the culture through our best years was always due to a few key players like Sam Mills Steve Smith Jake Delhomme Cam Newton Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis. They were the engine for that. But at the same time it was under JR's watch that our culture at times took on a "just happy to be here" mentality. Think overpaying guys in 2010. Think saying absolutely nothing to the NFL about our MVP quarterback being headhunted in the 2016 season. Now there are all these rules to protect QB's. Meh. We need better than Both Richardson and Tepper.

Shiiiiiiiit Bryce Young wishes he had as much swag as Puss in Boots. -
He's entitled to his opinion. Even if it makes no sense as it suggests the 47 points given up by the defense happened in a vacuum without having been directly affected by the putrid performance of the starting quarterback.

Keyword from Luke: Accountability. Mentions that multiple times. Interesting the conversation is shaped around the Steelers game in 2018. Truly this franchise aside from a few very brief glimpses of hope along the way has been in the gutter since that game. Cannot understate that. I appreciate Thomas Davis for trying to calm the situation and I do understand where he is coming from and why he wants to approach this glass half full because he doesn't want to pile on in any way. Unfortunately it's giving the same vibe as Steve Smith Sr in the lead up to last season. Lots of positive energy and praise particularly of Bryce Young and it's just been worst case scenario the majority of the time ever since. He contents Bryce Young is not easily rattled but the eye test just doesn't jive. We will see what transpires this Sunday and go from there.

Fields is a bust it's best for folks to move on once and for all. As far as Horn goes at this point the only question is whether or not picking Horn over Surtain was the right call. Jaycee has a lot to make up for this Sunday.
