  1. Welp that's it fellas we've got no shot. No point even trying let's just pack it in and maybe try again in ten years when we're old af.
  2. What is this "Stroud boys" stuff about? We're ridiculing each other now for wanting to shoot our shot on a rookie? I am not enamored with the idea of moving up to the top 3 to take him but if Fitterer and Reich think he's the guy well you do what it takes to get him. But at the end of the day I highly doubt three QB's will be gone before our pick. Take it easy ya'll lol
  3. Any of them could bust but you really want another small frame QB? We have Corral. For Fitterer to add another he would have to be on the sauce or just not at all concerned for his job security.
  4. Yeah at this point you have to call it like it is and admit it would take a miracle for Jordan to suddenly become a good owner and lead this franchise to any level of consistent success. This is how we will likely remain for the foreseeable future unless something drastic happens. Even if we got the first pick I would expect us to fug that up somehow too.
  5. Hey Stuart. I have faith you'll somehow survive witnessing this dreaded slander about your favorite NFL QB.
  6. Personally I say give me a QB who will ruffle some feathers and shake things up and instill a new culture here the way Newton did. These dad jeans types who love Darnold can join him on his new team.
  7. Hornets fans to Mitch K right now:
  8. I didn't even see the McDaniels news initially until now. For a second!? What use could we even have for that pick after we discarded an extra first like it was on fire. Kupchak is a buffoon.
  9. Cliff better play Mark Williams big minutes now...
  10. All back and forth aside I agree with this completely. Just talking the truth about Darnold in this thread results in no less than half a dozen poo'd posts lmao. You'd think we had actually won something of significance or been to the playoffs with this guy. People are crazy lol. I cannot wait until the draft and free agency has begun.
  11. From my view when combining the highs and the lows he was mediocre at best overall. As another poster pointed out he averaged less than a TD a game over 4 wins and one of those wins we had an historic rushing output from our backfield. That's the best you can hope for from a 25 year old in his prime? We can replace that with any other option in the free agent QB market. That's the rub
  12. Well there's not much to engage with if you're going to remove that game to make your argument look better. Sorry bud the world doesn't work that way and the Carolina Panthers aren't running a charity. Enjoy your day!
  13. Yeah clearly it was Adam Gase and Matt Rhule's fault Sam Darnold put up a historically bad passer rating against the Saints. You think we win 11 games with him? Insane.
  14. It's wild anyone wants to risk the farm on a QB his size in the top 10 after seeing Matt Corral ragdolled in the preseason. Bama fans...
  15. Those 4 wins were more due to the pieces around him and the losses highlight his limitations the same as they did in New York. When he absolutely has to win you games with that arm talent he can't. Look at all the team had to do to put them in position to defeat an Andy Dalton led Saints team coached by Dennis Allen. If you're Frank Reich and Scott Fitterer you leave no stone unturned. Would you settle for Sam if your job and career were on the line?
  16. I'd love to have been a fly on the wall for his interviews with us. But I feel like I can safely assume no part of that interview process involved him declaring he can fix Sam Darnold. Do you ever try to put yourself in anyone else's shoes? Him and Fitterer know this is their last big chance. And you think Darnold is going to spoil that for them? Come on man wake up.
  17. That's quite literally wanting more from him than he's capable of doing and why people want to look at other options. He is not a bridge QB under any circumstances. He could run a few drives in games here and there but he cannot start you games and keep you in any level of contention.
  18. Fields wins with his legs he can't throw and he's one of the leagues worst passers. Darnold wins with his legs and he's Sam Newton. Again these people are just plain biased and nuts.
  19. I know you aren't saying he's our future but you and others at least in my view seem to give him the benefit of the doubt you don't offer to other QB's. There are other backup tier signal callers we can consider Sam is not the only free agent available. Reich and now Fitterer both have the added and IMO very important perspective of having learned from mistakes of giving highly touted yet underperforming quarterbacks teetering on bust status chance after chance. I think they will look to begin anew. You have to turn the page from mistakes.
  20. I got no beef at all with Sam the person. Said that many times. It's the looney tunes here who anoint him to a level he clearly is nowhere near. He had the one gaffe on that podcast which was pretty foolish and rather tone deaf to say when considering how many chances he's gotten. But overall he's kept his head down and he definitely hasn't gone on social media trying to clap back at Panthers fans like we owe him something. All that being said we can find a better QB to fit the bill for what we would be asking of him in 2022.
  21. The receivers and backs were fine when Sam was riding high behind a potent running game. When he actually has to win with his arm and he looks bad like always suddenly we have no talent. These folks are delusional and clearly the kind of fans who were rabid Kyle Allen groupies. You can't reason with someone who considers the final game against New Orleans a real game winning drive. They don’t care about actually winning big games or being in the playoffs they just want a QB who fits into their box. Well I cannot fuging wait until the draft when Fitterer and Reich swing for the fences.
  22. He had 43 passing yards and 2 picks. No way in hell you or that other guy would be celebrating that if PJ Walker was the QB.
  23. Oh wow you're counting that and taking a victory lap? Why don't you check those notes and read us back his stat line. How does a 25 year old in the prime of his life get outplayed by Andy Dalton? Andy Dalton!
