  1. If we do sign him I look forward to seeing who will be blamed when he turns the ball over. Some of you are literally engaging in the same behavior you used to talk yourselves into Darnold. It's both hilarious and sad.
  2. You might want to take a peek under the hood if you're going to go to bat for him and blame coaches or defense. He's played in 142 games in his career and through those he's amassed 179 combined interceptions and fumbles.
  3. People really need to stop trying to compare Carr to Stafford. When you dig into the numbers one thing that stands out to me is his turnovers. 99 interceptions and 80 fumbles. As far as I know he leads the league in career fumbles. Now does that propensity for turning the ball over remind you of anyone? Sam Darnold perhaps? No way in hell you give this guy 35 million a year.
  4. It's not just due dilligence. They know his asking price they aren't meeting with him for shits and giggles. It's not like we're going to walk in and tell him take this low end prove it deal or we're outta here.
  5. If the room full of coaching minds we've assembled with their decades of wisdom thinks chasing after the likes of Carr or Jimmy G is the best recipe to "win now" this place will be a goldmine to read this time next year.
  6. There is no such thing as a 100 million dollar bridge quarterback. He's either your guy the next 3-4 years minimum or you go in another direction.
  7. We're just talking here Scot. Everybody knows the team is going to do what they want. These are just opinions. And my opinion is we should be aiming higher than a high priced Kirk Cousins (at best) clone. Just meeting with him indicates to me it wasn't just all Matt Rhule steering us toward the Darnold's and Mayfield's of the NFL. We can now dispense with that narrative.
  8. Rhule is gone but Panthers management just can't help themselves can they? Go ahead and sign Carr to that 40 million a year contract I'll have the smores ready to roast when it all goes down in flames 🫡
  9. Yeah what happened with Wilson since leaving Seattle should serve as a cautionary tale to the Carr lovers too. In the current NFL if you are going to make an all in move go for a promising young QB not the veteran you think might get you over the hump now.
  10. Right but the Colts are run by Irsay who is a nut. Logic would dictate Scott Fitterer and Frank Reich have already had lengthy discussion about what we have in mind for the position moving forward. If Reich wasn't on board he wouldn't have taken the job. And I hardly think he and this staff with all their years of combined experience are afraid of developing a rookie.
  11. Not at all surprised one of the loudest pro Darnold voices also wants us to tie up a big chunk of our salary cap in the Kirk Cousins of the AFC.
  12. Does he have full control and I missed that? Looking at his history with the Colts and what went down with Wentz I'd have to imagine that would factor into his future approach around the position. Didn't he go to the playoffs with Brissett? We'll find out soon.
  13. Hum diddly dee that's a sight to behold.
  14. I'm hoping some adults in the room will point out the obvious that most teams are competing with younger QB's on rookie contracts instead of veterans on bloated 150+ million dollar contracts. Scott has to know if he throws the whole franchise at Carr he's outta here if we aren't making a deep playoff run.
  15. If it's between Rodgers or Carr give me Rodgers all day. But I think his shtick would wear thin with Panthers fans fairly quick.
  16. To give you an idea of what you are dealing with. He was once the most outspoken Matt Rhule defender here. Crazy is an understatement.
