  1. Thank goodness it's finally over. Goodbye and good luck Sam
  2. Logical choice. Kicker nowadays is much more of a revolving door for many teams.
  3. If we could agree both QB's are good at what they do and neither are playing "easy mode" we could have a productive discussion. The biggest question with the number one pick is durability as in which one will still be playing ten plus years from now.
  4. Well the defense is certainly coming along nicely. What are we leaving for offense? Kinda got some holes to fill.
  5. If it wasn't you I'll retract and own the mistake but I do recall seeing a post of someone saying something along those lines within the last week. Like I've been vocal of my concern with Young's size but I haven't denied his talent as a QB. But you seem to be doing that with Stroud. How is Stroud playing on easy but Bryce Young and every other Alabama QB playing under Nick Saban isn't? Be consistent.
  6. Weren't you the one calling Stroud OSU trash? You are the complete opposite of objective bub
  7. Of course but OP is very pro Bryce Young. It's like asking the Ohio St fan here about Stroud.
  8. Oh boy. The Young fans are about to pile in and they will not be pleased. I'll go ahead and get it out of the way too. But Doug Flutie but Drew Brees but Russell Wilson. There.
  9. Oh don't get me started on officiating now I still can't believe how night and day it is compared to how refs just let anything go when Cam was still in his prime. While that is a factor bare in mind the refs aren't going to physically dive in front of Young as some sort of human shield and prevent a 300 pound lineman from landing on him. Stroud has the accuracy edge I think that should be a foregone conclusion at this point.
  10. If you truly think he only has the edge on size I think you are engaging in some self deception but that's cool. And let's be real. Doug Flutie was drafted on 1985. If you are stretching all the way back almost 40 years ago to find an example that's not a good sign.
  11. Oh I like his skill. There are some small knocks of his work within the pocket to consider though that others have noted in one of the hundred threads about this recently. But why must he always be compared to current or future hall of famers to distract from his biggest con? They both just have potential at this point. But Stroud has the edge based on the full picture.
  12. Doug Flutie lol. I love the desperation to defend his height. Always amusing.
  13. Who is truly right or wrong in these discussions? None of us knows which QB will be the best out of this group. It might not even be Young or Stroud. Idk why some of you guys are so unwilling to just admit who you like. You clearly follow Alabama at least a little bit. It's odd to lie about it. But whatever works for you
  14. I didn't say he was injured last season but he has missed games previously and he's approaching the age where many linebackers struggle with this. I'm sorry discussing this has you so angry and triggered but at the end of the day it's a business. The Carolina Panthers have long overinvested in defense and let the offense make something out of nothing. Now we are not only resetting completely on offense we have no leaders no clear #1 #2 or maybe even #3 WR no real threat at TE. This regime has their work cut out for them in surrounding our new rookie QB with a great supporting cast. It can be done it won't be easy. I'm glad you get to rejoice about continuing to pay your favorite linebacker but also remember our defense took a beating last season in some of those final games. If this team is going to return to relevancy it will be through our offense.
  15. My thoughts on the DJ Moore trade as it pertains to Scott Fitterer is basically that bit on Robot Chicken where Ang Lee is talking about how The Hulk surely won't be a giant flop that ruins his career. I hope Scott is the GM some folks here believe him to be.
  16. This is just opening the door to other potential variables that we shouldn't even be having to consider for what we gave up to move to 1. You pick your QB and keep moving.
  17. For sure. That could never happen anyway.
  18. At least this Buckeye Homer guy is transparent about it unlike some of these Bama fans hiding in plain sight.
  19. I would love what Young brings to the table as a passer and overall signal caller the same as Stroud. Both have what we seek as far as intangibles for the position. It just boils down to little things and which QB you think will guide the team for the long haul with the more productive career and you just can't ignore those little things for either prospect. Make no mistake we could find ourselves in a position with regret that's what we don't want. I don't envy Fitterer and Reich in that area. But that's why they get paid what they get paid to do this.
