If we've already heard about Levis and Richardson's scores idk why we would not have Stroud's. If he scored low what's the number? Seems like there are some draft games being played.

Anthony Richardson “knocked” S2 cognitive test “out of the park”.

If you think AR is an extraordinary risk but BY isn't at all you are operating with clear bias. I hope they are seriously considering this kid. -

Very interesting. That goes against some of the questionable remarks I've seen about his QB intelligence. If the Panthers coaches deem him worthy of the pick so be it. I will be excited. -
Albert Breer on Panthers #1 pick (no trade back)

We both know you are very high on him. I am not surprised you are not seeing it. The way some folks defend his one very real and concerning con you would think he's already played 15 years and is getting his measurements for his gold jacket. I'm good with any of the top 3 QB's they all have questions none are can't miss. If you don't agree that's fine. Appreciate the dialogue. -

You can like Bryce Young's abilities and be accepting of him as the #1 pick without diving off a cliff defending his size which is going to affect him some way or another in the NFL. The only question is how much. The loudest proponents of his go too far in their defense even folks who might be warming up to him as the pick look at ya'll like you've got problems. You don't have to like the questions he's facing but they aren't going anywhere for a long time. It is what it is. -

If the right TE is available I would accept this. We just need a legit chain mover. I don't know what their plans are for the position though. We signed Hurst and we have Tremble then Ian Thomas and his contract are still lingering. I know folks don't want to admit it but Fitterer was high on Ian leading to the contract extension he said so himself. We'll see. -

Adding another young WR in this draft should be a top priority regardless. All of them except Thielen have a recent injury history and he's 33. QB/WR combo please. And add OL depth. -
Same can be said for games like the one Young had against LSU. Concerns are there for both. If either had none at all we wouldn't have been able to move up for what we did.

You complain endlessly about me but here you are seeking me out. You've got issues.
-
Makes sense to me. I'm fine with either based on the positives of their tape. Of course it goes both ways though. Some folks who are wanting to drag Stroud really need him to be mediocre at best. If he balls out the comparisons will follow these guys that's just how it goes.
-
If you think CJ has character issues but you see no problem with skipping the combine and being dodgy about playing weight you can't be taken seriously. I've had football related questions about all three of these top prospects but nothing I've seen or heard gives me reason to doubt them as human beings. This is some 2011 nonsense. Microaggressions.

You can definitely see some flaws in Stroud's game and the question of how he will respond to pressure is a legit one. But Bryce Young is not without his questionable moments on tape either. That is where this whole discussion gets to a point where you look around and see maybe some folks judgement is being clouded. If either of these two QB's were head and shoulders above the other we might not be sitting at #1 overall. Hopium is a hell of a drug. It's probably best to adjust expectations and not expect a magician out of Young right away. Let him show us.
-
Does he have a fake smile too?

I think most people just don't want to see another very talented QB fall apart physically too early. The concerns are valid and there's nothing wrong with that. Someone has to be right and someone has to be wrong. Revisiting these threads years from now will serve for us to either laugh or cry. Hopefully the former after what has become a fun ride.
-
Sounds like bullshit.

I really haven't seen any rabid Stroud guys here. But you me and any other Panthers fan better hope CJ and Richardson are mid at best because the comparisons aren't going anywhere. Hopefully Young is everything some folks are hyping. Because if not? Whew buddy! Here's to hoping

We've got quite a lot invested in the secondary already not sure how much more we can risk. 1st round top ten pick another on a significant contract coming off an achilles tear another we traded a 3rd for. Not much wiggle room.
-
One thing is for sure. The folks who are hella sensitive and pooing posts about the size issue might as well buckle in because it isn't going anywhere and our rivals and opponents will be sure to let us know about it.
