  1. Oh man the nonsense in this post is unreal. The funny thing is the talk of CJ Stroud basically being a dumb dumb is coming from a lot of the loudest pro Bryce Young folks. So if you want to talk about undertones and 2011 you might want to look around champ.
  2. I think he has a good chance of being a solid QB as his floor if he is serious about working on his craft. He very well could end up being the best of the bunch. All depends on how much he wants it. He says the right things but that's just talk. We'll see.
  3. Why should Day or any of his former coaches respond to nonsense anyone who is familiar with CJ will know is false? I'd think the loudest in the pro Young crowd would see this for what it is. Draft games.
  4. Cool but I hope this doesn't mean we aren't going to draft a WR.
  5. I see the usual people in their usual corners and the usual folks acting like they're Bryce Young's mom.
  6. The injury that resulted in the rotator cuff surgery happened that day. Cam was still slinging it in 2018. If you're arguing the Watt hit wasn't the final straw for that shoulder we'll just have to agree to disagree. No problem.
  7. KB was long gone by then my guy. Cam was being talked up as an MVP candidate again when we were 6-2 before that hit. Sucks but that's it.
  8. I was referring to the post you quoted. Seen the argument applied so many times. Because Cam at his size had a shorter career due to his shoulder that means a 190 pound QB will play over a decade. It's fine to support him as the pick and like his attributes. But using Cam's injury as a validation is just lazy. One fluke hit can change everything that's the nature of the sport. It's cool that people want to assume the refs will protect our QB but consider me skeptical at best on that notion.
  9. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the logic of because Cam got his throwing shoulder destroyed within the pocket that means if we draft the smallest QB in the NFL he'll play 15 seasons.
  10. I'm genuinely curious why people talk about this like it's whatever while CJ Stroud apparently has character concerns now. I mean if we're talking a 2nd or 3rd round pick that's one thing but a guy going to these lengths to avoid weighing in too light sounds uh risky. Especially when considering how many people look at Richardson and shriek at the thought of taking him at 1.
  11. I hope Mr. and Mrs. Tepper will leave it to the professionals. In situations like this I do believe most owners will have some level of input but actually calling the shot? After the meatballs hiring fiasco with Rhule? Let Fitterer make the call then. If it doesn't work out it's a house cleaning anyways.
  12. Kunkel says we like Levis over AR? Consider me skeptical over most of his claims these days
  13. Levis is a possible lunatic but if he lands with the right team who knows. Usually it's been the trend that the most despised QB prospect on the huddle ends up being okay. We'll see how that goes this time around.
  14. I'm the one using hyperbole? The loudest of the pro Young crowd have been comparing the kid to NFL NBA and martial arts legends to deflect from his size questions. Even had one guy crapping on Jake Delhomme and Cam Newton while hyping Young. That sounds like at a minimum borderline suggesting he can just about walk on water to me. I have been as realistic as possible regarding my expectations for all three of the top QB prospects. You don't like that. Well too bad.
  15. I think a trade down only happens if the Texans offer another first. I don't see them getting that desperate. 99.9% chance we stay at 1.
  16. Lmao Mitch is just trolling us now. "Important to build through the draft" *discards top 15 pick like it's a hot potato* Clean house!
  17. Let's be honest. As next years draft gets closer people will begin poking holes in Caleb Williams draft stock too. This has happened every year. It's just part of the process. Bryce Young's tape shows both lots of good and some bad. The bad IMO whether me you or anyone else likes it or not is in part due to his size in one way or another. We are hoping the staff and scheme will help ease his transition and also that we will be able to keep him clean in the pocket against some truly mammoth sized human beings. Anyways I'm on board swinging for the fences I've said this all along. And I haven't been handcuffed to only one prospect through this process. I've looked at the positives and negatives for all of the top three. Taking a big swing is all I ask and that is what the decision makers are doing. You are being disingenuous. There are people all across the draft process who are also sharing concerns. That does not mean they think he will instantly be injured but whether or not he will be able to sustain a decade plus long career. You don't have to like it but that's a legitimate question sir.
  18. Certainly impressive no doubt about it. If the coaches want him make it happen.
  19. Of course they all are I completely agree. Bryce never had a bad play or a bad game? This is why some folks are pulling away from the discussion now. My personal opinion is AR is not that much bigger of a risk than BY. Unless Reich was just lying he has told you himself AR is under consideration for the pick. If they were to pick him it would be a VERY bold move and just like if we picked Young I would be concerned in the back of my mind. But I would feel hopeful. We have decades of experience on staff. I'll go with their decision regardless. Hey whatever happens it isn't our job on the line. We don't know what the future holds. 5 years from now AR could be doing nothing or he could be dominating. Same can be said with Young. We'll see.
