Bare with me here because I'm going to break this down slowly for you. It's possible to criticize without saying he needs to be fired. I've never asked for him to be fired. In fact I've argued the opposite for plainly clear reasons such as the fact no one will want to work here unless they are entirely a sycophant to the Tepper's. All that being said. Dave Canales team has looked like ass cheeks since that brief high against the Raiders. That's not hyperbole or an overreaction. It's simply stating the facts of the situation. Are there different things going on that are only exacerbating the issue? Yes. Should we still be showing some kind of improvement in a lost season? Yes. That's all I'm asking for.

Yeah I'm starting to question Canales with each game at this point. There are things wrong with this team but the same dumb ass mistakes and soft mentality keeps showing up.

You're just going to see the field shrink and interceptions while he's on his tippy toes.

Eventually it becomes an issue of predictability. Defenses know Dalton can make throws unlike Bryce but if he is being held back due to horrible plays like what just happened we can commit to the run as much as we want they are going to know what's coming.

We are realistically all homerism aside 2-3 years minimum from competing for anything of significance. It is going to take at least a few very good drafts. These are tough conversations for tough times. It is what it is.

I tend to agree with you in principal. I really like Hubbard and what he adds to the team production wise and mentality wise. The issue is the Panthers have needs across the roster and just invested a ton in the oline. Center is still a need as well. None of this is even mentioning the fact we just traded up to select an RB in the second round this year. Then we have to look back at the signings of "Double Trouble" from long ago and even then that is now known to have been a bad move to say the least. But at least the team around them was serviceable. This is probably the worst shape our roster has been in that I can recall. One can like Hubbard and ultimately prefer to retain him while also acknowledging it is most likely unwise to invest another significant contract in the position when accounting for the full picture of the current predicament.

What even is his value? Maybe a 6th?
