I remember your past iteration of that username you've got there and getting ridiculed off the board from time to time. If you're going to throw stones don't do it from a glass house.

Folks who believed this also thought Scott Fitterer was once the smartest guy in the room with his "in on every deal" persona wheeling and dealing his way into yet another 5-6 win season. Meanwhile it's still all Matt Rhule's fault to some peolple.

Win or lose fug the swamp rats.

See the above post.

You don't have to like it but it's the truth. The Panthers have been trying to draft local kids with feel good stories for over 2 and a half decades. 7 winning seasons. If you're telling me you don't think we ultimately took him over Surtain bc of his local ties as the cherry on top there's nothing for us to discuss. Move along. Thanks.

Remember all the feel good fluff from the team after we drafted him about Horn staying in the Carolinas? The Panthers need to get back to simply drafting the best football players and leave the feels at the door.

The defense was damn good in the first half and Burns and Brown were the leading contributors to that. If your only way to poo on them is the second half well that's how football goes. It's still a team sport and eventually the defense goes as the offense goes and when guys see the offense farting around and giving field position and free points to the other team the wheels will fall off no matter if you have multiple hall of famers on defense. You have to reward their effort. It's on the coaching staff to clean this up. And pay your talent already get the Burns deal done asap.

I'm just defeated with the whole situation. The circumstances of his career trajectory as a human being and also the fact our decision makers to this point are looking to be a tier below Marty Hurney at drafting football players.

Drew Brees and Matt Ryan our longtime divisional nemesis are finally out of our division. If we can't hang with the lowly Falcons now we are certainly cellar dwellers. The good news is it's only game one. You don't have to be completely low on the team if it's that bad it's best to unplug. I used to let a Panthers loss ruin my week. Sunday I spent the afternoon and evening laughing at the Panthers ineptitude. All that being said. Folks who are making it their life's work to try to smother annoyed fans with positivity and rainbows that's admirable but remember none of us are above the other. We don't have anymore bandwagoners those people are long gone the last few years saw to that. Anyone who is still showing up after all this even if they are pissed off is a loyal fan in their own way.

Brian Daboll was the next hot thing at one point last year. His team just got wallopped 40-0. Whew buddy it is not going well.

HEAVENS TO BETSY, LOOK AT THESE WIDE-OPEN RECEIVERS
frankw replied to Carl Spackler's topic in Carolina Panthers
Clearly our receiving core leaves a great deal to be desired. And Thomas Brown needs to be running this offense. But we still can't be turning the ball over like we did. You either believe Young will put in the work to correct it or you didn't like him all along and will use this as an opportunity to pat yourself on the back. -
It's important to find a healthy balance between some of the homers here and people like Ickmule.

The defense looked damn good until the offense stopped holding up their end of the bargain. Bijan is going to be a thorn in our side in this division for some time though let's be honest.
-
You could at least attempt to follow the conversation. Some people here spent weeks and even months shitting on Richardson and later Stroud and acted as if the gap between them and Young was wide enough to drive a big rig through because Bryce Young "processes like Payton Manning". I cautioned people who had Bama Bryce Young avatars up super early to temper expectations and give the kid a chance to get his feet wet. Today I got worse than I expected. But there is still plenty of time for him to learn and grow.
-
You are chasing shadows bud I've been pro Bryce and remain pro Bryce but I'm not going to spend my Sunday evening polishing up a turd because you are in your feelings.

Fittmagic.

My man you can flail and poo every post you want but Ridder and his team are still 1-0. Hopefully Bryce Young with all the hype about his passion for studying the game will take this L to heart and look much improved next week.
-
Well allow me to point out a few things. When we traded up to the first overall pick and forfeited our best WR and another first rounder there was an expectation or two. Nothing extreme like instant playoffs but just a basic low bar. Defeating the Desmond Ridder led Falcons would qualify. Today was dreadful.

Solid coping skills sir.
-
Wait. AR whom some certain folks here would have had you believe couldn't hit the broad side of a barn had a higher completion percentage than Young? Well that's interesting.

We can blame Rhule until we're blue in the face but the fact of the matter is Scott Fitterer is an unabashed Ian Thomas Stan. We have a WR core he assembled that once again is struggling to get any separation. That speaks volumes.
-
In fairness Cam had Steve Smith and Greg Olsen on top of a steady option in Shockey. We really are not putting the kid in a great situation to succeed with these receivers that can barely get any separation. Which btw has been an issue now through multiple QB's. At some point you have to stop blaming everything on the quarterback and look at your talent evaluators.

The NFC is pitiful. If this staff can't miminum improve on our win total last season they aren't going to last.
