  1. McCaffrey is benefiting immensely and producing because of the offense ran by Shanahan. DJ Moore is producing with Justin Fields on one of the league's worst consistently ran franchises. If we were to undue any trade it would be giving away Moore for the worst of the top 3 QB's in this years draft.
  2. One single touchdown would be a start. Baby steps.
  3. Scott Fitterer needs to be relieved of his duties this evening. Incompetent asshat.
  4. @top dawg What you think of DJ Moore now? Still a #2?
  5. Fitterer should have been fired with Rhule. As much as we'd like to blame him the real man responsible is David Tepper.
  6. All these folks who went on and on about how DJ Moore isn't a #1 receiver should be punched in the dick.
  7. It's wild this is where we're at. Think about how hype we were to have the number 1 pick 6 months ago.
  8. Excuse me sir you forgot to mention point guard. No really though. It's early. I'm giving him the season to show me more before I start throwing the B word around unless he just completely craters. But as far as pure passing ability we had the guy for that right in our sights. Something or someone changed all that. We gotta live with the results.
  9. Looked okay enough to score 27 points with Andy Dalton though.
  10. Looking at our history this checks out sadly.
  11. Can we please stop comparing him with Trevor Lawrence. They are two fairly different quarterbacks. Find some other way to cope.
  12. He has potential but I fear this not going well and ending up like another Robbie Anderson situation.
  13. My friend McCaffrey would not be performing the way he is behind this oline. Not even close at all. We have many needs. We saw many times how it went when we tried to make him the focal point of our offense and almost every time we lost. It just didn't work here. You've got to let it go. Good luck.
  14. I agree with you so far Frank Reich looks like a buffoon. I wanted Steichen we were impatient. Too late now.
  15. I'm just assessing the full picture my friend. We need a housecleaning after this debacle is what it looks like to me. It isn't Bryce's fault we drafted him. But he's going to have to make the best of it in the meantime.
  16. So we need elite weapons for the QB our FO told us was the most pro ready? We could have signed Carr or kept Darnold and got more weapons on top of keeping DJ Moore and next years first instead of this disaster.
  17. So all Bryce Young has to do is ask for more deep passes and voila we're looking better? Our front office spent most of camp telling us about how much they were putting on Bryce Young's plate and how he was basically leading meetings and calling his own protections. Either Frank Reich is the most inept conservative coach we've had since Ron Rivera or they are having buyers remorse. Maybe it's both.
  18. Yes and he's also 35 years old and washed he's basically an older Darnold. But our passing offense looked as good as it has in a month. It's sad but true.
  19. Right but why is that? Does Reich simply not have confidence in Bryce because he is a rookie or is he not confident in his ability to throw downfield? Either way this is a mess.
  20. You can't make him the face of your franchise my guy. We traded up a ton to draft ours this year and we're still waiting to see something to justify it. You are going nowhere without a QB. And you also need a legit coach. The full package. The 49ers have that and a stout defense built with picks they used from being terrible for several seasons. We do not have that. But his team got blown out. You sound like one of those silver linings fans that loved his "banner year" where he set records but we only won 5 games. If that is what you like hey more power to you. That's not how you build a contender and that was never going to work for us here. I'm sorry if you are having a hard time reconciling with that man. But that's life.
  21. I see a whole page of nifty charts. Some interesting data to ponder for sure. But what do we attribute Andy Dalton's success passing the ball downfield in hostile territory to? We know there are mitigating factors and certainly all of this is not on only Bryce Young's shoulders but charts only tell you one piece of the story. Bryce still has to start trusting himself more. And if we can't get some semblance of a deep connection defenses will continue to play him the same and we are not likely to see much improvement.
