JR did bring football here which he will forever get credit for. But he was loyal to the league to a fault even when they bent us over and went in dry with their refs over and over and over. He also was a condescending curmudgeon during the lockout. He thought the league would never turn on him after all those years of total loyalty. He was wrong. Not only did they completely fug him over they forced the sale to egomaniac David Tepper who thinks he knows how to run a sports franchise without any outside help.

I've seen a few posts in the other thread that got locked mention Purdy in relation to Young's development and I have to say that's gag worthy. Brock Purdy is not who we should be hoping for our #1 pick to be. If that's best case scenario blow this whole thing up and start over.

Brian Burns statline: 2 tackles, 0 sacks
frankw replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've defended Burns but honestly I've been disappointed in not only his awful at times play but his piss poor leadership and decision making. I get being disgruntled with the FO because they are inept imbeciles but he's not going to get himself paid elite money anywhere with his flip flop act of talking all big in training camp about being a leader and then becoming Oscar the Grouch and getting mowed down by randos on crucial plays. If you want to be paid to be the guy on defense while the rookie QB is taking all the heat you need to show something. All he's showing other teams is he's a flake and takes plays off. -
The 49ers finally ran McCaffrey into the injury wall and lost to the Browns on a missed field goal attempt? Well that's a shame.

Will Bryce throw for 300 yds in a game this year?
frankw replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't worry about the total yardage it really boils down to YPA and keeping defenses honest by making some completions downfield. That's what not only wins football games but keeps you from giving up 30+ unanswered points. Unfortunately today like the last few weeks once the opposing defense saw we couldn't threaten them deep it was a wrap. There are different reasons for this but we have to figure it out or every game left on the schedule is going to end this way because sooner or later our defense is going to give up chunk plays. -
I agree with that. But. I do not think any of it would be this excessive if we had not traded what he did and drafted Young first overall. And when we knew our oline was still a work in progress at best. It's not Bryce's fault. But that's the rub. Hopefully he can develop a better rapport with our deep threat Chark as the season goes on. I think he's a plenty capable weapon in our offense when healthy. But that has to happen and silence some of these doubts about Bryce Young's arm or these debates will remain contentious and ugly. You and I don't have to like it but that's where we're at. Hopefully that changes.

It's an unfortunate situation all around. Is the alternative an echo chamber though?
-
I agree. I like many things about Bryce Young. But the deep ball needs to be showing itself by seasons end. No amount of excuses is going to make me feel better about that otherwise.
-
Only one of us is behaving like a lunatic over CJ Stroud right now. You are projecting really hard. Hopefully you aren't this way with your friends and family. Take it easy and try to have a better evening buddy.

Obviously shouldn't have traded DJ Moore. But we would still have to be able to get the ball to him deep which we cannot do at this moment. Is it lack of chemistry is it the playcalling is it Bryce Young's arm being limited? Whatever the reason 35 unanswered points with almost a quarter of football left to play is more than just a WR problem.

Your anger doesn't change the facts of the situation. I didn't even bring him up. Others wanted to dunk on him to cope with our own score. You roam these boards with an Alabama avatar while telling people they're really Houston Texan fans. You don't have a leg to stand on here. Enjoy what's left of the game big guy.
-
I disagree with some of what he said. But we're getting blown out and Bryce Young is still questionable downfield let alone deep. It's either something he's going to develop or he's going to continue to be limited. You guys can yell at people to shut up and fill the tank with hopes and dreams but reality is reality.

It's week 6. Best game so far as a pro but there's still work to do. Like connecting on those deep balls. It's not been pretty.
-
Well. This is why you don't hang your hat on one quarter of football.

I've been watching the entire Panthers game on the fantasy app and have players stats. Technology is pretty convenient. You can continue this routine where you attack anyone that isn't fully jumping up and down with joy because Bryce Young exists but you just look like someone with either mental illness or someone that cannot handle the slightest bit of criticism. Either way neither is a recipe for discussing sports with other human beings. Log out and take a breather.

Icky is asswater. Damn shame.

Laying the cope on way too thick. They still haven't learned after hating on CJ Stroud after his first preseason game.
-
You're pooing posts over this? We are what our record says and calls like that are indicative of it. You can throw a mountain of poo around here it won't make Reich a good coach.
-
That's what happens when you puss out on the road. Hey Reich. Were 0-5. Nothing to lose.
-
That Donte Jackson contract.... oof.
-
There's the Panthers we know.
-
He didn't get it but at least he's taking shots.
-
Maybe we should see what the rest of the game has in store for us before we go declaring our offense fixed. Idk how some of you haven't learned after years of watching this team.
